Happy Days get a bad press! My experience was absolutely first class in comparison. Starting with an extremely competitive price compared to other Heathrow car parking firms for Park & Ride.I needed to change the car model that we were parking in the week before we travelled. They affected this with no extra charge and acknowledgement by email. All done very easily and quickly. On the day we were parking, I had a phone call to say would we mind using their Meet & Greet service instead.as their transfer buses were busy. Their driver came to the T5 passenger drop off zone location, took photos of our car to establish its condition [paint & wheels] and was very polite and courteous. On the return to T3 they said they would deliver the car to the Arrivals car zone collection point. After a short delay, the driver came with our car. It was in unmarked condition and with an appropriately small mileage covered since drop off. He asked for proof of our identity and we were on our way. PERFECT service.
An absolutely dreadful service, we have used several meet and greet services at Heathrow and other airports without any problem at all. We made the mistake of choosing Happy Days because they were a bit cheaper than the others, what a mistake. We started to get a bad feeling when we turned up at Heathrow T3 to be met by a chap in jeans and t shirt as opposed to the normally smartly turned out uniformed staff that we've experienced from other companies, apart from that though pick up was OK. I photographed my car which was in pristine condition. We had arranged a pick up time of 0730 in the morning at the end of our holiday. We rang at 0650 as we were early getting through the airport and were told that the car was on its way, at 0730, no car - rang them and was told we're on the way, 10-12 minutes, 0745 no car - rang them told we're just leaving, 10-12 minutes. Finally the car arrived at 0805, Reason for the delay is that they couldnt find the key to the compound. When my car was returned there were two scratches to one of the alloys, the person who returned the car agreed the damage and photographed it. He was dressed in a t shirt and combat shorts, again unprofessional. I was invited to sign a form saying the car had been returned to me in good condition, this I feel was an attempt to nullify any later claim, I did sign but also wrote on the form about the damage. When we returned home I contacted the company to claim, they asked me to send photos of the damage, I said that the driver had taken them, they said they hadn't come out. They then later sent me an email denying liability so I'm having to take legal action against them. My advice is to pay the extra and go with a reputable company, this lot are a complete shambles and should not be allowed to operate, I have also complained to Heathrow airport about them.
We called when we were 30 minutes out, we still had to wait 25 mins for our driver to arrive at Heathrow T4 to pick up the car. With 2 small children that was really not ok (and it was raining!). On arrival back in the UK we called as soon as we had our baggage (as they request). We were then in the agreed spot 20 mins later and had to wait a further 25 mins for our vehicle. I wrote to complain and got a reply from Yasmin at customer services, with several grammatical errors and very little punctuation, to say that they were sorry but the roadworks around Heathrow were the cause and could they offer us a 25% discount in future! I'd rather pay extra and get a decent service.
Booked Meet and Greet Parking with Happy Days for Terminal 5 Heathrow through SkyParkSecure. Emailed instructions told us to go to Level 4 of the Short Stay Carpark to drop off the car which is the norm for authorised Meet and Greet operators at the airport. We phoned as requested 30 minutes before arrival and were asked to go to the passenger drop off door 21 where a driver would meet us. On return we rang after collecting our luggage and took 3 attempts for the phone to be answered - when it was eventually answered it was with a "yes what do you want" when we explained who we were we were told to go to the passenger drop off where the driver would meet us in 15 minutes. There are large signs at the drop off making it clear that the area is not to be used for picking up passengers and that any car caught doing so was liable to in immediate fine. 30 minutes later still no sign of our car so we called Happy Days who really didn't seem to care or have a clue what was going on - When the driver eventually arrived 40 minutes after the first call there was no apology, but when pressed he mumbled something about a locked car blocking our car in. - Very poor service and clearly in breach of the Heathrow approved parking regulations - Please avoid
I used them a couple of times and although the car was picked up and delivered in a good state and within the agreed times, they always use the passenger pickup area instead of paying Heathrow Airport to use their Off-Airport Parking area. This is not just dodgy, it's illegal and you could end up with a fine. Better avoid and go for a more reputable company that uses the appropriate facilities.
AVOID. AVOID. AVOID... Happy Days is a number of different named parking vendors. Our meet and greet was terrible. Told to take car somewhere different from where the instructions on the site said. Had to wait for someone to take the car, they refused to take photos there and then... On our return they took 30 minutes to return the car... DAMAGED on front & back. After about 6 weeks of rarely returned phone calls, they finally agreed to pay for the scratch repair on our 1 year old car, but only with 'chips away'. Weirdly they did not want the insurance companies nor the police involved. No shock there after everything we witnessed... Awaiting the transfer of cash before we go ahead with booking the repair... Do yourself a favour and book the official parking people!
Had to wait 40 mins for my car, when I was told they will come in 20 mins. My car was returned with a lot of Mud. I dropped it to them spotless clean, just had it car washed before my flight, left to them for 4 weeks and came back covered in mud, including the driving seat. There was a lot of moist marks inside the car that you can see when it was being heated. I used them before but this time I regretted it! Never again!
Car was moved during the week (it's a Tesla so we can track it), clearly parked in a field (satellite location showed this), returned very muddy (the field) and with dirty boot marks in the passenger side of the cabin. Why was a passenger in the vehicle when it was in the custody of this company. Contrary to what the we site says, the car was not returned to short stay parking but instead to departures (to save money) where the driver faces a fine of £40 for pick ups rather than drop offs. Don't use them.
Very poor service! Had to wait for someone to turn up for the Meet & Greet service at T5 Heathrow and on the return at 5am the car was eventually delivered with mud all over the wheels and underside of the car 50 minutes late. They also misplaced the ignition key which was in someone's pocket !!! Had to wait for this to be sent to the terminal.Do not use this company if you want peace of mind about your vehicle and want to be provided with the service you have paid for. False economy! Now have to pay to get the car cleaned!!
NEVER AGAIN!Left my electric car in the car park with 41% level for a week. Bring my own car to the terminal with EMPTY 1-2%!!! The nearest charging station from the terminal is 5mi... The nearest charger from the parking 0.5 mi...So need to drive 5mi really carefully, slow and without heating. 2 adult and 1 INFANT (18 months old!!!) in a cold car and risk to running out of juice every second. They heating running at 30°C in electric car. incredible...Mud everywhere on driver side (and side on dash).Thank you, NEVER AGAIN!
