Absolutely outstanding insurance company. Even when they were inundated with claims from the recent floods our claim was sorted very quickly and professionally. We worked closely with our advisor Stacey and we can't thank Halifax enough for all of their support. Absolute joke of a company. Opened a home insurance claim for a leaking roof three weeks ago heard nothing back in that time. Paid out of my own pocket for a new roof and tried to call Halifax to close the claim. Live chat useless, phone line cuts you off after saying they’re only taking calls from vulnerable customers atm and in branch they can’t deal with home insurance either. I’ll be looking to move insurance and bank when my renewal is up as this is a joke to call this customer service
Truly shocking service, both pensioners, boiler failure in winter, can’t respond till 3 days later and wife has just broken her arm. This was right at the end of my second year of cover with no previous claims. Have cancelled the service by phone.
I filled in an online claim after my rendering on my outside wall off my home was badly damaged during the storms we had a few weeks ago. I quickly received a call from a lovely lady saying that they would, pending on the quote and the photos that i send them allocate me £1500 towards getting my wall fixed ,this was around 3 weeks ago .Today I had to phone them to be told that unfortunately my building insurance will not cover this damage as with the photo my rendering looks old and could have been already damaged , to my knowledge this was not the case. These storms did last for nearly a week with my rendering coming off on the first night , I really did think that this was what buildings insurance was for ,also having a large area off wall exposed to the Scottish weather could also be doing more damage but then again my insurance will probably be still useless . Really disappointed with The Halifax I will not be renewing my policy this year
Impossible to contact - actively refusing to accept customer calls claiming they are prioritising storm damage customers - the same excuse they have been using for six months. Even the feedback call didnt work properly. I would recommend avoiding them and switching to another provider who you can depend on when you need them.
Halifax home insurance is one of the worst In the Uk - They will mislead you , I moved in october 2023 to Halifax from Barclays but I am regretting only after 5 months & going back to Barlclays.Halifax Home Insurance is Rubbish !!!!Cheaters !!! Taking them to financial Ombudsman.
It is very difficult to contact the team either by phone or e mail. Nobody answers your call. You can’t send mail directly. After filling out the claims form, you get a no reply email asking to upload the same pictures by a link which doesn’t work. You can’t respond directly. You need to go back for fresh claim.After you pay, they are just difficult to contact.
Received a call re my experience with Halifax Customer Services - on answering the question how likely are you to use the company again with zero. Thats is not at all, I was promptly cut off. No surprises there. It seems Halifax has no intention of actually listening to customers, or improving their service. Avoid
Seven weeks into a very straightforward claim for accidental damage. Their phone lines aren’t accepting calls. They never respond to messages. Their nominated inspection company despair at my daily calls to which they have no answers. Do not waste your money insuring with these crooks.
