Reliability and customer service plummeted.

I have been a loyal Honda customer for 16 years having bought 4 new cars and had all cars serviced at a Honda dealership. I trusted Honda as they were reliable and backed by excellent customer service. However this has now changed. I was disgusted by both the Honda dealership and Honda Customer Service’s refusal to replace a part under warranty that was clearly either a manufacturing fault or not fit for purpose. I am sorry to say that I will never buy another Honda. Well done Honda you have lost a loyal customer!

Honda customer service nose dived

Honda customer service nose dived Raised an issue with them re their Vertu Honda Dealerships as it was a big mistake on Honda and dealership and they washed their hands saying dealership issue when Honda shipped the car with the wrong spec to the Dealer. No

Poor Customer Service & Product Quality

Yet another month and still no respose from either Honda or Marshalls HARROGATE dealership!I bought a new Honda 'e' Advance on 26 March 2024 from Marshalls in Harrogate. From the out set the dashboard componets started coming apart due to flexing of the shell and interior of the car whilst driving.Despite numerous attempts by Marshalls the problem still remains and the quality of their attempted repairs has been poor not in keeping with new car. Currently I am in a 'stalemate' situation with both Marshalls the dealership and Honda Cars UK about the matter. It seems neither will accept responibilty that the car is inheritantly faulty. Which the dealership/Honda Cars UK are unable to fixNow three months on still no satisfactory outcome for being supplied with a defective product -BUYERS BEWARE !Date of experience: 26 March 2024January 2025Now taking legal action for infringement of Consumer Rights Act 2015.Also Cases raised with the Motor Ombudsman and Financial Ombudsman

Engine oil consumption under warranty

Doing this review on here as they deleted my comment on Instagram and blocked me, a thing that they can't do on here, thankfully, so I can warn others. If you want to avoid a bad experience, don’t even call or touch this company or Honda in general, as Honda Bournemouth and Honda UK didn’t take responsibility for my bike under warranty with my engine oil consumption and fork seals. The first time that I brought my bike to Honda Bournemouth with the low engine oil level issue was for the second service with 2198 miles due to being one year old, and they did nothing but refill the engine and said that everything was okay. The second time I brought the bike in for the same issue, it was still under warranty, and they did nothing about it and said again that everything was okay. The last time I brought the bike, it had 3418 miles but was out of warranty. They had to refill the engine again, about 300 ml, which Paul told me is within the normal consumption range, and the bike is out of warranty and no longer their responsibility. Very convenient to wait for the warranty to run out to take out responsibilities.I have been a motocross rider since I was a child and have gotten mechanical knowledge. It is not normal to burn 300 ml of oil in 1220 miles done. I know the engine sip a little bit, but that is too much! The oil level indicator was at the same level the first time that they had to refill the engine, so it has burnt another 300 ml in 1650 miles done after the first service with 548 miles. I wonder if I go on a long trip to Europe, should I carry an engine oil can with me? It really doesn't make sense. The bike has burnt in total 600 ml since new, with currently 3520 miles done. So I have been carrying this issue with me for more than a year now, and Honda Bournemouth did not pay attention at all. Just refill the engine and say that everything is okay, which is very unfair.About the fork seals, they kindly replaced the seals under warranty, but a month and a half later it started leaking again, but this time it was out of warranty, and they said it is no longer their responsibility, which is very unprofessional. Please Honda don't bother replying to this review because I don't care about what you have to say. The same way that you didn't care about my bike warranty or losing a customer that had bought 3 bikes and plenty of parts replacements from your dealership. Thanks!

Incompetence, Failure & Disappointment

If there was an option for no stars, I would use it. The overall customer service experience must be reviewed without fail. The transaction was initially straightforward; with the exception of colour choice, it was a like for like trade in/purchase from a 22 reg for a 24 reg HRV Advance Self Charge Hybrid. Just like the 22 reg, the new vehicle was to receive added features (as requested) at the dealer when it arrived. The order was placed in Nov 2023. The 'salesman' found it difficult to place the order, difficult to understand our needs and requirements; and what started out as a ten minute visit to sign for the order turned into an hours' fiasco. Since placing the order, communication was terrible; we had to call him and often with no call back. Issues in the middle east started and excuses regarding shipping were used, when in fact we discovered they use another route. We were fobbed off with maritime law and ship Captain decisions. That's not our problem. Rudeness was often thrown in for good measure. When we asked for UK number plates for European driving, we were quizzed with 'Well, what do you want them for?' With bad continuing communication and no customer empathy later, the order was cancelled. They tried to win us around with an unregistered HRV I earlier spotted on the external forecourt. No thank you, it's not what was ordered and we won't be returning again.

I bought a New 125cc Supercub on 23rd August 2023. I love the bike and have done 4000 miles . I took it back to the dealer 500 miles ago with a half volume horn and indicators that flash irratically. They checked the bike under warranty but did not resolve either problems saying that they did not occur when I took the bike in . Now my battery is dead too . I have to bump start it every time . This after only 4000 miles . The bike is only 7 months old . I was under the impression that Honda is a well made reliable machine . Not happy. I will be taking the bike in soon for its second service and will be pushing for all to be fixed next time . Dewi Richards . CORNWALL

Overcharging

Overcharging, poor customer service and make excuses for failed parts. I was told that a part had failed due to low usage! Is 18500 miles in under 2 years, low? Clearly a manufacturing fault as this is 2 in under 2 years. Will never buy another Honda and never go to another Honda dealership for service or repairs. I’m done!

Never again Honda, if the car breaks down it's painful!!!

Never again Honda!!! If the car breaks down it's painful!!! The first thing to say is that the diagnostic software is not able to determine the problem, but makes attempts to replace parts until the car resumes normal operation; the second thing is that you will have to pay for all the replaced parts even if they were good.My Honda HR-V suddenly went into an emergency mode which limited it to 2,000 engine rpm, took it to the garage the diagnostic system said P0087 Low fuel pressure and suggests replacing the fuel pressure sensor Rail, it's a shame that the Rail sensor (€30) is supplied with the entire flute which is a metal tube that costs more than €1,200, I waited 4 weeks for the part and once replaced nothing changed!! at this point the high pressure pump was ordered for another €700 which by pure luck solved the problem, because otherwise the next step would have been to change the injector KIT for another €900.Throughout this whole story I have been in contact with Honda Europe customer support, who on the phone was very kind and understanding, telling me that it was absolutely not right that I had to pay for good parts, but in the end they replied "it's not our problem", Honda didn't even offer a free periodic service and I also had to pay for the parts which were good.It is my opinion that Honda garages are only good if you have to have a service done, I don't see any expertise for troubleshooting other than relying on a buggy diagnosis system!!

This review isn't so much about the…

This review isn't so much about the quality of the repair, more about the horrendous cost of getting a Honda car fixed. Honda used to stand for quality and reliability, but these days Honda seems to have dropped their quality standards - and raised the prices of getting their cars repaired.A Vertu Honda garage has quoted £2,800+ to replace an EPS steering rack on a Honda CRV.Not only that, they said that although it might take months to get the parts and fit them, their quote was only valid for 10 days...
