Review Time
The jewelry is absolutely terrible and so is the customer service. For example: “Hey Mejuri, my earring fell out because the clasp is low quality.” The response would be something like: “We’re sorry you had this experience! This happens from time to time. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to help! Sorry we can’t help you. No we cannot do anything about it.”
I bought the Diamond Necklace ($298) for my girlfriend to match a ring that she has. She tried it on when I brought it home, and the chain broke while she went to remove it. Literally immediately. Clearly, there was a defect in the chain, because she didn't pull at it, didn't get stuck on clothing or hair, it just fell apart. She immediately submitted a customer service claim (which purports to respond within 24 hours). After 6 days, they finally responded and said that they will not be honoring the Warranty Policy because either: 1. the claim is outside the two year period (false), 2. the item is lost and not in our possession (false), incorrect materialcare was provided to the piece (false, it was just taken out of the box), normal wear and tear such as scratching or bent (also false, again, it was just taken out of the box), or a third-party vendor was used to repair the item (again, it was just taken out of the box). This company is a complete scam, they clearly did not read the claim and just automatically rejected it. I will be disputing this purchase with my credit card. What a joke of a company, and terrible quality jewelry.
Edit** I’m still missing a huge order from Mejuri. I have contacted the courier, the partner courier company and Mejuri nobody has helped me. I have spent thousands of dollars with Mejuri and I this has put me off buying anything from their website again. It’s things like this that completely ruin how customers feel about a retailer. This isn’t a review of Mejuri’s products, but I am annoyed that a company this big still uses courier companies with terrible reputations and reviews. I placed three separate orders with Mejuri. The first and biggest order was sent DOMESTIC and they used a courier company that is widely regarded as a scam (no tracking updates, takes weeks to move, metro to metro is twice as long as AusPost.) The two smaller orders were sent internationally with FedEx and arrived within a week. Please stop using garbage couriers with dodgy partners, especially on orders that are of a large value.
Was a loyal Mejuri customer but after a rushed piercing appointment and multiple poor customer service interactions, I have decided to shop elsewhere for my fine jewellery. Even with their so-called “biggest sale of the year”, Mejuri’s prices are increasing and their quality is questionable at times. And for how much you pay for Mejuri’s products, you’d expect better customer service. Shame because I liked the idea of their business model: affordable, high-quality jewellery products that last. Goodbye Mejuri.
My $300 product did not ship for 3+ weeks although Mejuri gave this expectation. However, the shipping company they utilize which has an awful reputation (OnTrac/Lasership) had my package allegedly sitting in their facility for over a week with no updates. I contacted both Mejuri and shipping carrier. Mejuri was responsive saying they would investigate, shipping carrier did not respond for almost a week in which they then manipulated the tracking info to indicate it was delivered.I told them it was not delivered and asked for a picture of delivery proof. Shipping carrier eventually responded they can "no longer confirm control of the package" and told me to contact seller (Mejuri) directly.This was almost a full week ago and Mejuri has yet to respond, nevermind offering any proposed solutions. I was a first time customer and this item was a present for my partner's birthday which was already late. I know shipping issues is not necessarily Mejuri's fault but after showing proof the carrier said they've lost my package, Mejuri customer service has gone MIA. Very frustrating and disappointing experience - Mejuri has lost a potential long term customer due to their lackluster customer service.*EDIT 2* - Mejuri customer service has since reached out and issued me a refund. Obviously this took a lot longer than I'd hope but I do understand black Friday is the busiest time of the year. I am satisfied they promptly resolved once they researched the order - I have edited my review to be 3 stars & title changed from "Poor" to "Delayed Customer Service".
