I had some problems opening the door…

I had some problems opening the door after one day of renting a car probably because of internet disturbances on my iphone. Miss Zoe told me just to open a new renal contract so at least i could open my doors. It worked out well but the only thing was, that I got a second incasso on my bankaccount. Miss Zoe told me to send a mail after ending the rental contract, explaining the situation and then I would get back my payment. So I did after ending the contract for the same car. After one day I got back my money. Trustwothy and reliable company. Regards, Reggie

Hidden Charges and Zero Support – Extremely Disappointed

I had a truly frustrating experience with MILES. I booked an XL van for 6 hours and 50 km. I ended up using just 43 km and went only 45 minutes over the time limit — yet I was charged for a full-day package (€108) without any warning or real-time update in the app.I contacted customer support, expecting some fairness or at least a reasonable explanation. Instead, I was told a refund was "not possible" because I “significantly exceeded” the time — 45 minutes over 6 hours is not significant by any standard. What’s worse, the app didn’t notify me when the package auto-switched to a full-day rate. If I had known, I could have adjusted my trip and avoided the extra cost. This lack of transparency and flexibility makes the service feel like a trap rather than a convenience. No resolution, no understanding, no real support — just a copy-paste policy response.I’ve paid the invoice because I had no choice, but I’m deleting my account. I strongly advise others to be very cautious before using this service — especially if you value clarity, fairness, and proper customer service.

The overall app layout and process to…

The overall app layout and process to rent a ride seems un-restricted to use. Hence giving a good rating.

Unclear pricing, inflated cost

Very intransparent pricing models. Rented a van from Wedding to Neukölln and back to pick up a shelf. On the way there I used the highway, because it was a few minutes quicker than going through the city. This brought the total kilometers driven to 42, instead of around 30, if I had gone through the city twice. I expected to pay somewhere between 30 and 40€ given the distance and the time parked. When I ended the rental, it's suddenly 65€ because apparently the day rate is charged from 35km upwards (which is a very regular distance for a two-way trip in Berlin, certainly not worth a whole day package). My 80€ shelf now suddenly cost 150€... Thanks for nothing Miles. This policy is quite intrasparent and not very useful for people running errands in Berlin (which is probably the whole reason they do it). I wish good old Robben and Wintjes was back. Given this pricing model, I can't recommend Miles for moving stuff around the city, stay away.

Unprofessional customer service

I had been using Miles for quite a while and generally accepted the occasional bugs and app crashes. But things took a very bad turn when I was kicked out without warning – and I believe unfairly. One day, I tried to end my trip in Zehlendorf at the U.S. Embassy. The app refused to close the rental, and I assumed it was the usual app glitch (which had happened before). I later found out that the area was considered “outside the business zone” – which is absurd, since it's a central, accessible, and safe location in Berlin. No clear warning was given beforehand.I had even mentioned to a phone agent that I found it ridiculous that such a location isn't part of the business area – but instead of a dialogue, my account was permanently deleted shortly after.I had no bad intent, no rule-breaking behavior – just frustration over unclear policies and technical instability. The combination of vague maps, poor error messages, and what felt like retaliation for criticism is deeply disappointing.I could chalk this up to a petty act of revenge from someone in customer support – but in any normal, professional company, no agent would be able to carry something like this out unchecked.Perhaps the most outrageous part of this experience was receiving an email instructing me to “please refrain from further contact attempts.”For a commercial service provider to dismiss a former customer in this way – after raising a legitimate, non-abusive complaint – is both unprofessional and, in my view, legally questionable.According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Art. 15 & 21) and the German Civil Code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch – BGB § 241), customers have the right to request information, express objections, and communicate with service providers regarding the handling of their data and contracts. A blanket ban on communication may violate these rights, particularly when it attempts to suppress valid criticism or prevent transparency. In any responsible company, this kind of behavior from a support representative would never be allowed to happen without consequences. The fact that it is tolerated says more about the company than about me.

Strange charges from Miles

I wish there was a lower rating to protect others! I was charged by Miles for a vehicle I never used. The amount, 89.99EUR was refunded but then charged again! Finally I was informed that my PayPal was comprised. Strange since no other charges from any other service I use was abused. No withdrawals whatsoever indicating my account is compromised. Let me add I change my password very frequently. Why would a hacker use Miles to take money from my Paypal? Only 89,99? How would this money be of any benefit to a scammer? So they get a free ride in Miles? Make this make sense! Reading the reviews here I see others lost even more money with this shady company and take peace in that. Absolute trash.

Account still blocked months after confirmed payment

I used MILES for car sharing and had a minor traffic fine in December 2024.I paid the full amount via their collection partner, Pair Finance, on March 9, 2025, and received official confirmation that the case (ref. 173770861339) was closed.Despite this, my account is still blocked. I’ve contacted MILES several times, provided all proof and documents, and the only response I receive is:"Please be patient, we are in contact with Pair Finance."It’s been more than 3 months, and nothing has changed. This situation is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I’ve done everything I could from my side.If you’re considering using MILES, be aware that if any issue arises, the customer support process is painfully slow and inefficient — even when everything is fully resolved on paper.I expected better from a mobility company.Update (01 July 2025):After several follow-ups, I finally received a new response from MILES. Here's what they said:> "We reviewed the case as well as our email correspondence once more in detail. The review has shown that you have already been provided with all relevant information. Therefore, a new request will not lead to a different result. We wish you all the best."This was their final answer, despite the fact that I fully paid the invoice on March 9, 2025, and received confirmation of closure from their own collection partner (Pair Finance).I sent multiple emails, documents, and even published this review — and yet they refuse to fix the issue or restore my account. It’s extremely disappointing to see a company disregard confirmed facts and refuse to correct a basic system error.UPDATE (July 7, 2025):After initially resolving the issue and reactivating my account on July 2, MILES Mobility suspended my profile again — this time citing a vague “internal credit assessment”, without disclosing any legal basis, data source, or review process.Even worse: this happened just after I filed a formal complaint with the Berlin Data Protection Authority. Now, payments for work I completed through their StreetCrowd partner platform are also being delayed or blocked — possibly as a consequence of this hidden block.I have already requested access to my data and expect answers, but I strongly warn new users: MILES shows a lack of transparency, poor communication, and no respect for users who depend on their service.I will update again depending on how this develops.
