Very good system

I find it is a very good system for postpartum exercise especially if you have issues like prolapse. It is very slow & gentle in the beginning but it picks up the pace by week 3 or 4.The emails are really making a difference in sticking with it even after life happens and keeps me away from exercise for a while. It is a lifelong access once purchased so i always come back. It is nice to talk to other moms on connect too because they are going through the same thing.The food guide is a little vague for me as i like more structure but i try to follow the suggestions of making healthy food choices.As for results i would say you do get the results if you do the work. There is no magic wand but with mutu all the tools are there you just have to show up and do it

4 weeks and already see changes

I'm on week 4 and until now it is really good and progressive exercise. I love that there is a tracking section where I can put my progress and keep track and motivation! It's really good to see "I got 3 days in a row" when you have a toddler to look after. I have less back pain too! (Can't believe it as I had this pain for 1.5years). Definitely don't regret joining the program :)

I'm four weeks into MUTU

I'm four weeks into MUTU, having started out with severe diastasis recti (4 finger widths and almost half a finger deep). Already, my core feels stronger, my finger no longer sinks deep into the separation in my recti muscles and I lost half an inch on my waist :) I generally feel more energetic, fit and focused!! I love the holistic approach MUTU takes, targeting attitude and habits right along with the body. The explanations are clear and helpful, and there's lots of material in case you have time for more. Totally worth the money!

Good place to start! Great resource

I am really happy with it especially that someone finally explained how to do pelvic floor exercise properly! Lots of good resource to read and watch to explain what your body needs to do to rebuild. But you do need to invest time in it. I am half way through and so far so good. However I find it at times a bit boring or too slow. I am used to weight lifting and I find myself wanting to challenge myself more and needed to skip few modules. I also find that the webpage navigation is a bit tricky and the chat platform is not great. A Facebook closed group for users to share and talk to each other would have been much better! Also don’t understand why there is no app.

Overall I think it is an excellent…

Overall I think it is an excellent system and resource and would recommend it. I’m over half way through. It’s great! A few things to keep me from giving it 5 stars:The videography is lacking. Sometimes it feels like it’s more about the “shot” or look than informational. They are dark and sometimes zoom in on random parts of the model’s body which takes away from actually having an accurate visual of the exercise. The music during the intensives is awful! Lastly, I felt some of the articles were too broad and general. For example, the diastasis recti video and test, I think it could be much more helpful to describe having pelvis in neutral and not engaging muscles when testing. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere and affects the test accuracy. And walking everyday, yes I absolutely see the importance and fight to make it happen every day. But there isn’t much guidance of what to do when you’re home alone all day with a toddler and baby, for example, and it’s winter. I take them out often but can’t easily go alone (without stroller or carrier). I saw this come up a lot in the discussion forum.

All new mums need MUTU!

I've always enjoyed staying fit and it was no different during pregnancy (my first)-I continued eating healthily and working out throughout. Despite that, after a C-section I found my body and mind unrecognizable. Weak, lacking energy, with a fair diastasis recti and lower back pain, preventing me from fully enjoying these first few weeks of motherhood. Chatting to friends-fellow mums-kept me going and one of them suggested physiotherapy. That however became near impossible to arrange during the pandemic so I started my Google search for exercises I could do at home and this is how I came across MUTU. The first thing I found very reassuring was the approval from the NHS. I knew that choosing the wrong type of exercise at this stage could make the diastasis worse. I embarked on the 12 week programme full of hope and I never looked back. It started off with gentle exercise and useful tips on the technique and diet. It explained well the processes happening in a postpartum body. Gradually increasing the intensity of the workouts helps to build up the strength without feeling overwhelmed and regular emails from Wendy kept me going, even on a bad day. After completing the programme I feel so much better about myself, more in control of my own body, more energetic and positive. My back doesn't hurt and my tummy is much flatter, I don't lose my breath when climbing stairs. My diastasis needs a bit more time to fully heal so I'm continuing with the programme-week 15 now:) I definitely recommend MUTU to all new mums, as difficult as it sometimes can be to find the time and energy to exercise, try your best, it's worth it. When you're happier your baby will be as well!

Halfway through the program

I am halfway (6 weeks) through the program. This is the first time I have felt "hopeful" in healing my diastasis. I feel much stronger in my core, and pelvic floor, since starting this program. It took me a few weeks to really have that aha moment (when I could feel my pelvic floor was strong enough to really engage the movements). I think this program would be extremely helpful for those with leakage problems. I am still waiting to see more progress on the depth of my DR, but I feel hopeful, especially since feeling my pelvic floor getting so much stronger. This program definitely takes time, but as with any workout or weight loss program, that is the right way to heal and make permanent changes. I have not "healed" my DR, but I am hopeful and happy to feel more like myself again.

This program was really helpful

This program was really helpful! The fact that I could go at my own pace and even stop and start again a few times (because that it how it is sometimes!) helped me to stick with it. I really appreciate that I have all the videos for life - I can come back to it anytime I am feeling the need to strengthen my abs in a safe way. I had an upper diastasis recti that went undetected by several professionals but, the advice and exercises from the mutu program worked for me.

I love Mutu

I love Mutu! I am on week 3 and I already feel like it's working. It also motivates me to get some exercise in the comfort of my home during these cold winter days. The exercises are short enough that it makes it possible with a busy work schedule. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone.

So far so good

So far so good - but it's definitely something you have to commit to, you can't just do a bit here and there and expect it to work. Women's bodies take a battering after having children and the muscles need constant reminder of where they are supposed to be and not where they want to be 😬 I'm looking forward to completing the program and seeing the final results.
