My youngest is now 20. I used MUTU then to get pelvic floor strengthened because sneezing caused me to leak urine. Now I’m using it again after a weight loss of 10 pounds. My posture, core strength, and pelvic floor all need MUTU before I get to into gentle Pilates and weight training.
This program really works, if you stick with it. I've been through it once already and my DR decreased by 50% (4 finger width to 2 fingers). Halfway through my second time through it, and my DR is about half again (about 1 finger width). The gap is so small now than when I first started a few years back. I plan to continue until it's completely closed. And then I will continue with basic maintenance to keep it that way. MUTU works!
Don’t get the annual subscription. If you pay monthly and decide it’s not for you after a couple of months, you get to stop without paying further. If you subscribe to the annual and stop after a few months, they will not treat you the same and offer no refund at all, then ignore your emails. How is that fair? Follow workouts from diastasis recti exercisers on Instagram instead. It’s free, a lot more effective and takes up much less of your time! Free time is not a luxury for me with 3 kids!!!
Hello iv just started mutu but I did try it years ago and I know its excellent I love it I can already feel all these muscles in my belly n sides bring activated and even in my back. I have a large 4 finger width diastasis recti iv had 4 cesareans im on a mission to get a flat belly and be healthier and have more energy and I know that Wendy will get me there 😀
I absolutely loved Mutu. Exercises:I saw many reviews saying that the exercises weren’t challenging enough and were too slow. I did not find this to be the case. Before Mutu, I looked up videos for postpartum recovery online and I could not do any of them. I had pelvic pain, nerve complications, and diastases recti. However, when I did Mutu is was just simple enough for me to motivate me and just challenging enough to help me rebuild my strength. Flash forward months later, when I went to physical therapy, she was surprised at how much progress I’ve made at home on my own and I shared that I had done the Mutu system! I learned that as I did physical therapy, the exercises in Mutu are identical to those my physical therapist coached me on. My physical therapist was also impressed with my breathing techniques that I learned from Mutu. I made progress in as little as two weeks combining Mutu with physical therapy. Mutu is so wonderful for those who don’t have access to physical therapy. All the moves gradually increase mobility which is what every mom needs! Lastly, I lost 25 lbs during my time with Mutu. It really works if you keep at it! First con website:The website does lag. However, I never had any issue logging in. Videos: The music is so perfect! It’s just upbeat enough to energize, but it’s not annoying at all like some videos online. I also like how the women are very diverse in shapes and sizes. It emphasizes real healthy women that look like moms—it emphasizes that “healthy” appears differently and isn’t a “one size fits all”. Second Con:This isn’t really Mutu’s fault, but the community is filled with women who didn’t actually complete the program. Many of the women are starting out, but you don’t see many women in the community who show their progress through commitment. That was probably the biggest let down. It was challenging to connect because of the lack of consistency many women had. Wendy: The Mutu team and Wendy were SO involved! I loved that when I posted something, there was always someone on the team who responded, offered encouragement or guidance. For an online program, it was very intentional and personal. I liked that aspect incredibly.
Sadly I am not able to recommend this program because it hasn’t been accessible to me. Shortly after purchasing the program I discovered I was pregnant with complications and because I am disabled in various ways, I was informed by my doctor I needed to stop doing this until after having my child. I am now able to do the program again but my years subscription is up despite the fact that I’ve only done one intensive and one level of exercises. I emailed Mutu to tell them this but they didn’t care. And this is where companies like this one need to do better. Harmful greed, capitalism and growth at all costs have caused a lot of damage to our world and it’s time for more responsible, ethical and fairer companies to show the world how business can be done. And companies like this with a woman at the front should be leading the way with more ethical business rather than replication the old systems where getting as much money as possible out of your customers is more important than providing a good service. As a very busy, disabled mum, I would not have taken the time out to tell them I hadn’t been able to make use of this program and so didn’t feel like I’ve received what I paid for if this wasn’t actually true. And given this is supposed to be for mums, you would expect this to be more empathic and caring towards the needs of mums and if you can’t take part in this program because of unexpected pregnancy and disability, what does it have to lose by offering you another opportunity to take part in the program that you already paid for but didn’t get to use?Edit: The response from Mutu makes no sense and it would appear they haven’t read my review properly. I did reach out to say I couldn’t do the program, to which they offered no solutions whatsoever and no opportunity to extend it even just for a few months when I was given the all clear to participate. I emailed them on 22nd November 2023 to tell them about my issue and my subscription wasn’t due to expire until February. Before then I was busy having a baby whilst being very sick and disabled. There is a similar review from one or two other women with similar issues on here so it is obviously a theme. If you were a company that cared about its customers, why not offer me the opportunity to participate now I’m able to? Given this costs mutu absolutely nothing extra. Why not do something to help as in actual customer service rather than trying to discredit this review and spending the time checking what other reviews I have given which is a bit of low and unprofessional tactic to use in a situation like this? I only give reviews on trust pilot when I’ve had a negative experience to warn others so I don’t see how this is relevant and the only way it’s similar to others is because it’s a service I’m reviewing negatively. And with regard to the forums for asking for help, I did actually post on one asking what the 3 and 9 o clock position meant. Rather than receiving a response answering this, I was directed to general videos where I wasn’t able to find the information I was looking for so I still don’t know what this means. The response from mutu just confirms everything I’ve said in my review, because rather than trying to be helpful to remedy the fact that I paid for a service that I was unable to use due to disability, they’ve tried to twist it and make out this is my fault because of me not contacting them to request further assistance and I should have done something differently rather than them taking responsibility for something which according to the reviews, is not a one off experience. I would put the screenshot here of my email to Mutu with the issue back in November and their response which was to offer no help if I were able to. It’s a bit tedious in a ableist world when you’re disabled and it worsens severely so something you’ve paid for no longer is accessible but companies and events run by non disabled people show no empathy or support for this, instead blaming you like the response from mutu, meaning you keep losing money for no gain. I don’t see a company that is fair, ethical and caring in this response, do you?
I have been working with this program on-and-off for nearly two years. When I work at it, and read through the instructions, and watch the videos, and implement the suggestions, my situation improves (diastis recti, hernia, etc.) When I stop (which I have few times) I get weaker, and my situation gets worse. I know that this program works! Now if I can just stay with it...haha!
