Bought a new NordicTrack treadmill from BestBuy and after 4 months the 32” monitor began making noise like a fan with a bad bearing. Apparently there is a fan unit inside of the monitor for cooling. This is different than the fans on the treadmill that cool you while your running. I first called Best Buy because I had their total tech warranty and they told me I needed to work with the manufacturer since this unit was covered under a 12 month manufacturer warranty. So after cancelling my total tech membership I called IFIT which now owns NordicTrack. The tech that I spoke to asked me about my issue and the said he couldn’t hear it so it must not be a problem. When I insisted it was he shared a link with me so he could view my treadmill through an app. After looking at it he said it appears to run and the monitor works so there is nothing for us to fix. At that point I asked to speak to his manager and he told me his manager would say the same thing, when I insisted once more he hung up on me. I basically have a treadmill that works but makes a loud noise constantly whether we are using it or not - as long as its turned on - at some point I expect the cooling fan will fail completely and then cause monitor to overhead. I’m sure IFIT is hoping this happens after my warranty expires. They truly don’t care about the customer and will do whatever they can to get out of fulfilling their obligations under warranty. If you buy their product, assume you have no warranty.
I bought Nordic Track fs10i elliptical in March of this year. In just about six months the equipment stopped working in the middle of a workout. The system is getting no power, with a black, dead console. Getting in touch with customer support has been tedious - they just seem to be responding to emails once a day. Finding a phone number for service support has been an ordeal. Finally, was able to talk to someone in the service and they said it seems a wiring problem and we will send you wires and you change it. I asked for a service technician and they rudely said they do not send one until you try yourself. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It has been almost 4 weeks and I still do not have a resolution. I have had Nordic Track before but when I had a problem during warranty, they right away sent someone to fix it. That's why I was a repeat customer but not anymore. I would not recommend it to anyone. Poor quality, and poor customer service.
I've put in a tech support ticket about my Commercial 1750 Treadmill NTL14119.5 SN 0503963 and never heard back. Just did a second one. The screen of death - white ifit to black, no reset works, screen keeps flashing, only bluetooth light is on and flashes. NOTHING ELSE. never got help. They know it's a firmware iFIT issue --- I haven't used this machine much so no way could it be wear and tear. smh
Worst experience ever! I purchased an elliptical. They promised it would be delivered in less than 3 weeks. I received it in 6 weeks. Then the machine was wobbly and made a knocking noise. I decided it was not a good fit and asked to return. They charged me $593 just to return. Total disappointment with this company. Customer service non existent.
Just purchased a FS10i on sale at the Nordictrack.com website. Worked for one day and then it wouldn't start back up (just keeps saying retry). So I'm returning it before the 30 days runs out (Since if it breaks day one, I doubt it will last very long). But they are charging me $400. So be careful, this equipment clearly has problems, and they make you pay to send their problem back (not to mention spending two hours putting the stupid thing together).
Don’t buy the NordicTrack FreeStride FS7i or the latest equivalent!! Never worked properly from the day we got it. Lost connection every time we wanted to use it and the only way to get it working was to perform a factory reset and then run all updates - EVERY TIME!!! Then the display packed up. Customer Services are there to fob you off. Then they invite you to raise a complaint with CDRL - don’t bother - various companies use them and you should read their reviews before parting with more money!! We spent £1500 on this machine and NordicTrack could not care less.Just found out that there is a lawsuit in the US against iFIT - when iFIT pushed a mandatory software update onto consoles (“devices”), it caused, or may in the future cause, the failure of display consoles in certain iFIT products..............I am so angry at their lies and total lack of customer care!!UPDATE: NordicTrack have posted a reply!! Claiming the issues started after our warranty expired - RUBBISH!!! I logged our first complaint a few days after we got the machine. A FEW DAYS!!!!! I have a string of emails asking for help and being told to keep doing resets and loading updates. There is/was a problem with iFit and they KNEW it!! Our machine never worked properly and had to be reset EVERY time it was used. How is that acceptable??? Now they are being sued in the US - and still they deny the issue.
I purchased two NordicTrack products about a year ago. Both of them work very well, when they aren't broken. I purchased a 5-year extended service warranty plan for each machine. The Recumbent bike has been broken for almost a year and I've had 3 technicians to my home to repair this machine. Unfortunately, I've received the wrong parts or an incomplete shipment of replacement parts 3 times. Their local service repair technician is excellent however, he doesn't have ANY authority to expedite repairs. IF you're thinking about getting an extended warranty, be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait on getting ANY NordicTrack exercise equipment repaired. Absolutely terrible warranty, service, and repair coordination. I DO NOT blame the repair technician - he's excellent.
On May 2, 2023 I contacted iFit for service through my purchased extended warranty plan on our NordicTrack Commercial 2450 treadmill/running machine make/model NTL17221K12F. The treadmill was no longer able to change incline settings (wouldn't go up or down anymore). On * June 7 * the iFit serviceman came to our house but could not fix the treadmill. He ordered a different part and came back on * July 6 * but again could not fix the treadmill as the replacement part was itself broken (!). He ordered that part again and returned on * August 2, 2023 * and was finally able to repair our treadmill, three months to the day after the initial repair call. When I contacted iFit about how long it took to repair this treadmill and asked them to extend my extended warranty in consideration of the length of time during which our treadmill was dysfunctional, their precise response was that they felt that a month between a call and a service appointment (each time), as well as three months to resolve the repair in my case, represented (DIRECT quote here) "acceptable" warranty service. To help future iFit customers avoid such frustrations, I am publicizing today's above discussion and exchange between iFit's employee, Sonya (at 1-888-308-9616) and myself. By my doing so, those considering purchasing extended warranties (or utilizing perhaps any iFit warranty, such as the original product warranty itself) might have a clearer and more accurate understanding of what actually is considered "acceptable" service to iFit in this agreement into which you are about to enter. Perhaps if iFit/NordicTrack receives sufficient feedback from potential customers that their understanding of "acceptable" service might be at odds with the majority of US customers they might be more inclined to take responsibility for ensuring timely product repairs under those warranties sold to us. It is quite frustrating speaking to a warranty repair person and finding out that they are so busy with warranty repairs that they cannot come out to respond to your service request for 3 or 4 or more weeks. Finally, I should also point out the following:Apparently, iFit starts (or certainly at least at the time of my purchase, started) the product warranty for a newly purchased treadmill from the day that they *** shipped *** the product to me - which was roughly *** one month prior to its arrival and installation in my home ***. I do not know if this impressive sleight of hand is still the norm for iFit/NordicTrack, but one might wish to investigate if roughly a month might be "used up" on your brand new product's warranty period before you even receive the product that you purchased. Once again, Sonya explained to me that this was the policy of the company to not change the date of warranty coverage from the shipping date if it arrives within a month of when it shipped to the customer (!).My wife and I love the iFit idea, the NordicTrack equipment, the trainers... there is a lot going for this company. But I am beginning to sense a shadow of Peleton's overconfidence and blind/naive corporate mistakes in iFit's decisions and behavior. Losing track of the customer in some of these corporate decisions would, in the long term, be a shame, and would doubtless prove to be a poor direction to choose for all involved. Hopefully iFit/NordicTrack will read this feedback, take it for the constructive criticism that it is intended to be, and adjust their priorities and policies more towards the "reasonable expectations of the reasonable customer" - rather than their bottom lines alone. You have a great set of products, NordicTrack/iFit... be careful that you don't squander all this by being penny wise and pound foolish.
