the site is good and the items are well described and reasonable. I would like some guidelines on when a seller can be expected to ship an item, or at least give a heads up to buyers about delays or times longer than a week. Ive been waiting on a order from Nov 3 and while in no rush would like to have an idea of when things are expected to ship. Have contated seller but as i could not find any real infor on site about shipping times I am hoping i did not offend him.
Love shopping at Ruby Lane. Such interesting pieces. The items are well photographed. Some of the descriptions are just beautiful . The history is so interesting. I can imagine the people who owned the item before me.I love old silver pieces.
I have no trouble buying on ebay, ETSY or LiveAuctioneers buy I have problems buying on Ruby Lane. It took my over 15 minutes and numerous attempts to complete the payment process for this inexpensive $32.00 item, which is unacceptable. Let's make the payment checkout process easier on Ruby Lane. I have loss buying items on Ruby Lane while trying to pay for them. Unacceptable.
I ordered a vintage Brighton Pavilion chair from Black Tulip Antiques on October 2, 2025. As of last week the chair had yet to be delivered. Black Tulip was not replying to my emails. Turns out that they were not getting my emails. When I was finally able to talk with them they resolved the problem with the shippers within a couple of days. I received my chair today and it is in perfect condition. It turns out the problem was with the shippers, Maersk Denver.
I have been shopping with Ruby Lane for nearly 20 years and have seen it grow and change in good ways to aid the shopper. I have trust in the sellers and the support behind them that Ruby Lane provides. I enjoy the quality of the items I purchase. While all of the vendors do their business differently, they are all satisfactory to me. I would rather have an item over packed than packed carelessly. This has never been a problem for me in recent years. Some sellers give very detailed information about items while others rely on photos. I am experienced so both ways are fine with me. Keep up the good work.
