First off, the clothes are a high quality not seen frequently in today’s market. They are made and even packaged with care. I love the mint green solid sided box. Then you have their classic, sophisticated styles which is unique and timeless. Recently I had to return a dress that was too big and buy another size. I contacted customer support to help me apply a credit I had to the repurchase from the initial purchase. They were responsive and swiftly made the credit to my card. I sent my email in the evening and in the AM when I woke up, it was processed. I will continue to purchase Self Portrait clothing with confidence.
I placed my 1st order with self-portrait recently. The dress wasn’t quite right on me sadly, so I returned it. After a week of no news about the return I dropped them an email just to ask how long it would take. Then I had the best service by a ‘real’ and helpful, friendly member of staff (Sophie) explaining the timescales and process. The refund happened a day later anyway - but it was just lovely to receive great service with my query. Rare and refreshing.

lovely products but returns are costly.. I shipped back an item from Canada.. cost 180.00! Because Self Portrait bills in British Pounds also lost money on the refund as it exchanged at a different rate.. the return basically cost me 300.00! Which was half the amount of the return.. I would ONLY order again if I was 100% sure the item would fit.. costly lesson learned
I ordered two dresses - both of them didnt fit and one of them had brown stains on it, so I needed to return both of them. You have to pay for the return yourself, which was 25 euro for me, which I think is very expensive, but they did write the terms, so that was my own responsibility. But afterwards I didnt hear anything from then, so after 4 weeks I contacted them and asked for the refund! Even though they recieved the package 4 days after I sent it - they responded that they only had registered one of the dresses and asked for proof for the package weight - I felt that they were accusing me for cheating - I was very anxious for not getting the refund for the other dress which was 250 euro!! After several emails I got the refund for the other dress and was very relieved - but I have NEVER had such a bad experience with a return process, and did not expect it for such a brand with those prices and reputation. I will NEVER buy anything from self portrait again, because the return process was so stressful and time consuming.
