Review Time
This is my second purchase in a week and am out of pocket of nearly £450 in hard cash as refunds take so long. First cordless wouldn’t pick up, advisor told me to wash filters and put them back in and try again (I declined). He then expected my husband and my self to carry cleaner to DPD depot which is two and a half miles away. Otherwise it would cost us £15 to return. Second purchase was from Amazon advertises battery last up to to one hour, it doesn’t even last 35 Minutes contacted Shark promised replacement battery would be despatched, every time I ring keep getting told out of stock. Spoke to a Manager called Joanne who has informed me cannot send back now, reason is since being told I was to receive a replacement battery, discarded box as planned keeping cleaner and box is a fire hazard. Since I don’t have box won’t accept back seemingly in terms and conditions. So please be warned before purchasing with this company that the aftercare is non existent. Plus it’s going to take up to 20 days to refund for first cleaner, let’s just hope this happens. I will never purchase from this company again.
Hair keeps getting stuck in the anti-wrap and many times I have tried to unblock it as it gets stuck in the hoover stick. That is fine you can deal with it. But what I can not deal with is being ignored by their customer services... I wrote to them 8 weeks ago and heard nothing. It destroys a companies image for me and will never use their products again.
Brilliant suction easy to use. but the anti hair wrap forget it totally doesn't work, you still have to pull hair of brush after each time you use it , hence score of 3 I got a cheap as chips vac for caravan and the shark is only a fraction better so not worth the extra
I have an anti hair wrap cordless shark duo vacuum cleaner purchased just over a year ago. The power fins on it were split so the anti hair wrap was no longer anti hair wrap brush roll. I contacted Shark had to try to send a video of the problem and photos. Tried to link with the customer care person didn’t work downloaded photos sent them they did not get them got cut off had to ring again go through same thing again got cut off again. Rang them back another day as had to work got through videos where assistant could see it blocking and wrapping round tiny wheels on brush head. She put me on hold then went off. I rang back again explained again. Told them I wanted a new part for the head. I was told he couldn’t order it cos the system was down. I was told to ring back in an hour explained that I couldn’t as had appointment rang back another day. Girl I spoke to said my part was not in stock but she would send me another one that was in stock Asked what colour it was and explained that I did not want a more basic part sent. I asked what colour fins were as i did not want the same thing to happen again due to this design fault ( newer models have blue fins and are more robust. They could not replace my model as it is obsolete. I received the new unit today after waiting in for delivery. I checked the model they had sent an inferior model which did not have all the features on it that my model had. I tried it it blocked and wrapped up with hair straight away. I phoned had the same thing again wanting video I had taken one but could not do live link I checked the model numbers and they were different. The whole of the brush roll became covered in hair whereas mine had only hair where fins had tears in it. I explained the situation that I had received a cheaper model head and it had blocked after hovering for 2 mins. Explained the model numbers this one being lower model number. The newer ones were higher model numbers. I had looked the model they had sent up it was a lot cheaper than mine had been. The brushes looked smaller and it was aqua colour not blue as mine was. She apologized and said she would send me another total cleaner out if I could box my old one up along with the head I had just received she would send a return label. I asked her what model number I would receive. She asked to put me on hold to check. She came back on and told me that she had spoken to someone and she could not send me a new unit out but would send the correct part out to me when it comes in stock in 11 days time. I asked her who she had spoken to? If he was a manager yes he was and was called Craig. I explained that with a five year guarantee I should not have to be without a vacuum cleaner for a month. Told her I was not happy. Still have no cleaner that works properly and the same thing will happen again as it is a design fault in this model. I would not recommend Shark at all. No vacuum to use after paying over £300 for mine which I can’t use. Anti hair wrap does not work and fins tear in time when hair gets wrapped around brush rod. Fins are very femur and the tiny wheels at side block up with hair. Do not buy from Shark. 5 year guarantee means nothing
I have only given this three stars because I have had a huge issue with the battery. The machine itself is really good, the attachments work well, but the battery life isn't anywhere near what it should be and I can only get 15 minutes of vacuuming from starting at 100%. I phoned after a week and had a video call with a customer services rep who said that they would send me a new battery or a new unit, but that the batteries were out of stock. Despite being told they would email me with an update, I had to phone again today (28 March) as I'd heard nothing. I was then told the batteries wouldn't be back in stock until 7 May. If I want a replacement unit I've got to find a box to pack the old one up in and return it to them beforehand.. ..hence no vacuum for a while. As I don't have a box big enough I asked if they would send a new unit and then I can return the faulty one in the same box but was told they couldn't do that. I'm so disappointed with the response to this issue, hence the 3 stars only.
