Solo products are great, but you have to hope and pray nothing goes wrong with your order. I was sent an incorrect item, and it's impossible to get support. There is only an AI chat bot that opens a ticket for you. A human responded to my ticket after a few days requesting photos and more details. I sent everything same day, and now my case is inactive. I tried to open a new chat and case, but it's been several days with no response. I can't even request a refund. It's truly disappointing, plus I am out $100 for an item I don't want. If anyone from Solo monitors these reviews, please fix your customer support (and get me my correct product).
Fireworks weekend so got Bonfire stove set up even though raining slightly. Whole thing works brilliantly. Lit first click of BBQ lighter, then just sat and fed the fire. Really does burn clean, and so contained compared to previous garden fires. Consumed several old pine rootstocks, tree branches, and household wood waste. So Clean! no ash blown around the patio, no half burnt wood left at the edges. Lovely to sit next to last night watching the flames. And safe too as airflow keeps outer wall cool. Swept it out with brush this morning, not enough ash to fill a dustpan, and we’re ready to go again. Thoroughly recommend.
I am incredibly disappointed in solo stove. We have purchased multiple solo stoves and have run into an issue with our order this time around. I have called 4 times and have been promised a call back by a supervisor to help and I have heard nothing. I will never buy from them again.
If I could give negative stars I would. I purchased two SoloStove fireplaces by mistake because their invoicing did not send confirmation of purchase right away so I thought my purchase didn't go through. I used their "Live Chat", which isn't really live. It's AI so no real person on the other end. The bot told me someone would contact me within 48 hours. No one did. So then, I contacted them by phone and waited 45 MINUTES with no one ever answering the phone. I then used the form on their website. No one ever replied to that. Called multiple times, no one ever picks up. The I started texting and told them I was going to contact my bank stating it was fraud. FINALLY, someone answered the phone. In the meantime, it said my orders had shipped. When I spoke to someone she was able to cancel my order and texted me a screen shot of the cancellation and a message that said I would received my refund within 3-4 business days. That was on Oct 21. It's now Nov 6. I have reached out multiple times to them and to PayPal, since I paid through them. No one has issued the refund yet. PayPal is giving them until Nov 9 and then will automatically refund me. They are THE WORST company to deal with and would highly recommend not going through them directly to purchase. The most awful customer service experience I've ever had in my life and it's inexcusable.
One of the worst companies that we have ever dealt with for an online purchase. They illegally debited our credit card twice and would not return it but luckily the credit card company stepped in a sorted it. We were promised £40 compensation but the company but we have still not received it so absolutely shocking. As for the product it’s ok but there are cheaper alternatives out there with no doubt better customer care
Beware — this company is extremely fraudulent. Solo Stove continued to take money from our account even after payment was already made. We had to cancel our card and open an investigation with our bank to get the funds back. Customer service was useless — the only response we received was a redirection to their AI chat bot, with no real help or accountability. Absolutely unacceptable business practices. Be very cautious before ordering from them.
I am still waiting for a refund several weeks after returning my order. Customer service has been awful - mostly generic replies. Then I got hopeful because I got one promising I’d have my refund within 24 hours. That was nearly two weeks ago. Several more generic replies when I chase them. But no refund!
Incredibly poor communication. Ordered a heat deflector around a month ago. Given a tracking link that didn't work. Multiple emails sent to be told it is coming but nothing has arrived. I have had to file a dispute with my bank. Can't find a phone number to call them in Australia either. Highly dodgy. Avoid at all costs.
