Ordered from & Other Stories over a week ago — still nothing. No tracking, no update, no helpful customer service (unless silence counts as a service now?).Finally received a message that can only be described as elegantly rude, informing me the order is ‘delayed’. No apology. Just… delayed.
I purchased a pair of leather boots from Other Stories for £155 (down form £175 with 10% discount). Within a month the boots had warped and gaped and were totally unwearable not to mention looked terrible. The paper receipt had been thrown after a month of wear, as you’d expect to do when you invest in a quality product, but I had a digital receipt from Amex detailing geolocation, date, value, store and transaction ID. I took the faulty boots to store and asked for a refund. They blatantly refused despite my evident proof of purchase and said I could take the credit note or nothing. I felt cornered into being forced into nothing but the faulty boots so I took the credit note. I’ve now realised you can’t even use the note online, but only in store therefore I can’t even share it with friends. I feel so cheated when I had clear solid proof that I am left with a store credit note of a substantial amount of money for a shop whose products I do not trust and will never buy from again. Terrible customer service and loyalty approach. I strongly recommend not buying from this shop.
Had a bad experience ordering online - paid for Express Delivery which is 1-2 business days. The order didn’t arrive until a week later. Updates on the UPS website were very frustrating as each day it said it would be delivered that day. Customer service is abysmal, no one ever follows up, just tell you have to wait and there is no possibility to cancel the order and get a refund. Don’t bother shopping online!
I ordered 3 items from them. Only 1 was included in the box delivered to me. They refused to send me the missing items or refund me because the system would not allow it. Apparently the weight leaving the warehouse and weighed by evri matched. I’m not sure how this is my problem or why it means I cannot get a refund?! I didn’t receive the items what the parcel weighed when it left the warehouse is irrelevant! I will never purchase another thing from any of the H&M owned stores.
Do not use this company for online orders. I used express delivery service. Delivery failed to be delivered on time and I had to pay shipping fees. Despite assurances from ‘customer services’ that these would be refunded, after several phone calls and emails, this refund has not been forthcoming. I am also trying to arrange return of some of the items. The courier they use has failed to communicate. All in all, avoid ordering on line
I was just about to place an order online for a fur hat when I noticed a 10% discount if I signed up to emails . So I did so and got a discount code . I was then told it wasn’t applicable when I attempted to apply it . I am stuck with the subscription to e mails though This sharp practise put me on notice, so I went to Trust Pilot to check out this company and am now seeing all these horrendous reviews . Needless to say I won’t be buying the hat . Wake up & Other Stories - if you ever bother to read these reviews that is - your business practices are rubbish and you are loosing customers
Love(d!) the product and used to be my go to. Bought stuff in recent 20% off weekend and needed to return.Firstly need to do their work on line telling them what I'm returning then the link to return linked to COS (didn't notice till I'd handed over to post office). When I realised was very worried that my returns were lost and therefore no refund ..was very anxious.To be fair I did get a timely response from customer service though when speaking to them really difficult to get them to understand my issues and give me confidence they were proactively dealing with my issue. Turns out they got the returns, two weeks later (COS part of same group) but all the worry is just not worth ordering online again and given there's so few stores guess I'll be going elsewhere.Oh and the £3 charge for returns is ridiculous.
Placed and order, which took forever to be dispatched, eventually it arrived but both items didn’t fit, therefore I returned them the same day and have been charged a return fee. I wasn’t aware there were fees for returning. I’ve unsubscribed from newsletters, I won’t ever buy online from them again, much easier to buy from ASOS with next day delivery and free returns.
