Never use AON Travel Insurance!!!

We bought AON travel insurance for an NCL cruise in May of 2022. We tested positive for Covid and were unable to fly home on our scheduled flight. We had to rebook and pay out of pocket. It has been 9 months since I filed this claim and have gotten nowhere. Every time I call or email I receive the same response. They have a high volume of claims or they need another 30 days to process my claim. At least once a month I check and still the same response. Never will I recommend or use this insurance again. Unfortunately they are the company that many of the cruise lines use. Avoid them at all costs!!

Purchased AON insurance for my daughter's cruise. For medical reasons she canceled cruise. AON has requested and received the MD's medical reports multiple times. Cruise was in May, 2022 and to date Nov. 2022 no response. The US attorney general should shut them down for poor business practices.

Norweigian Cruise Line drop

Sent information to both NCL and Aon. We keep getting the runaround since May. Our expenses totaled over $2000. To this day we are still waiting. We will be glad to file a claim against them.

Stay away!

I had similar issues as previous reviews for an Oceania cruise in May 2022. It took them 6 months to request additional information to process our claim... I've dealt with a number of travel insurance companies over the years and AON is by far the worst.

We went to Uk in April 2022 and had Aon insurance. We couldn't fly home because of Covid and were stuck for 5 days. When we arrived home, I summitted a claim with all necessary paperwork to them to be processed within first week home. They have not processed our claim and we are still waiting. It has been 6 months, nothing complicated just receipts. I see by some of the reviews that some customer's claims summited after us were processed. I am confused by that because isn't there an order to claims? Why do I keep hearing, please give us 30 days? We are experiencing longer than usual processing times. But someone's claim in July 2022 can be processed?

Peru trip

was on a trip in Peru thru Trafalgar-they insisted they we have insurance and recommended this company as their company of choice,so went ahead and got our travel insurance thru them.On our day of departure,we tested positive for COVID and had to disrupt our depaature, sta an extra 3 days until we could get a negative test. All we are asking from this company is the difference in the airfare, due to last minute change, and our extra hotel charges.I have been fighting wit them for 6 months and keep getting the run around.I have sent them copies of our receipts several times at their request(guess they kept losing them) and finally overnighted copies to them. They keep giving me lame excuses and are obviously trying to stall and hope i'll drop it.I am getting my letters and correspondence ready and plaln to report them to the Attorney General of NY and file a greivence against them.DO NOT get insurance with this company or give them any money!!!!

Failure of AON TRAVEL TO REIMBURSE after 8 months

In April, I was on a Princess Cruise transatlantic to Southampton and a second leg to Ireland and Scotland, a total of 23 days. I was traveling with my sister and her husband. Two days before arriving in the UK, I tested positive for Covid from the ship. My sister did not. I have documents which stated that AON would pay or my extended stay in Southampton, US REQUIRED 10 days isolation. Plus they did not allow me to complete the second leg of the cruise. I am 81 yrs old, they left me stranded alone in the rain with my baggage and I have not received a dime of refund. I sent the claim and all documents three different times and each time I’d receive a response asking for my patience. They owe me well over $5000, sine May 1. Princess says they will make up the difference but only after the insurance pays.

I had to cancel a Trafalgar tour in…

I had to cancel a Trafalgar tour in March. Trafalgar came through and reimbursed the cash amount (80%) in July. I thought that was too long but at least I have received it. I was told by Trafalgar and AON travel Insurance I would get the balance in the form with a travel credit. It is now -mid November and still no voucher AON told me my claim was closed on Nov 9 and they sent a detailed email advising when I would get the voucher. No EMAIL! I bought AON insurance as it was offered through Trafalgar. I cannot count how many times I have called and have received different answers. If you buy travel insurance, buy it from someone else.
