Couldn’t get a driver for an hour. Two drivers cancelled randomly. Third is now supposedly going to deliver with food coming an hour and half from when I ordered. From restaurant mile away. Food will obviously be cold. Can’t cancel as the automated so called AI help says I will still be charged. Deleting Uber eats app.
I ordered from KFC and carefully followed the rider on the app. Upon leaving my apartment to find the rider, i was informed that my items were undeliverable. Was informed by uber support that the rider attempted to ring when they got to my apartment, explained how i got no calls or text and evidently so, i didn't receive a text message until 14 minutes after the fact!. Ubereats declined a refund or redelivery, i offered to pick my item from the store and they couldn't guarantee I'd get my food. No food, No refund, 15 quids lost and my food gone without a trace!!!!!
Delivery driver sat around for over 40 minutes before deciding to deliver food and when he arrived he didnt even have an insulated bag. Food was stone cold and this is happening all the time. Wasn't even offered a refund as chat said he arrived in adequate time, which might have been the case if he had an insulated bag, which he didnt.
The collapse of Uber’s customer service is an absolute joke. Uber used to be the reliable, premier delivery company.I have repeatedly received cold food because drivers are visibly heading away from my address after collection. I have even been explicitly told by a driver that Uber's system is flawed, allowing them to accept multiple jobs in different areas without providing the final address, which is the direct cause of the cold orders.Worse still, any attempt to resolve recent issues: Such as cold or visibly damaged food, or unsolicited items being added to my order and dismissed as a "misunderstanding" are now met with a "tough luck" attitude. I have lost far too much money on food I've had to bin.I committed to being a loyal Uber user, deleting both Deliveroo and Just Eat to do so, and even paid for Uber One. That subscription is now being cancelled, the app is being deleted, and I'm going straight back to the OGs Just Eat.
