I don't really know how is possible they work so bad and after all mess they do they still working.Bad experience. No one has call for the delivery.. the driver just put my package as "need Security access" but I was home waiting for him. Lazy person can work only for a lazy company. Next time I prefer pay more for the delivery but for sure I'll not use UPS ANYMORE. SHAME
UPS make every excuse for not delivering to our rural location. They couldn't get through on the phone (even though they never ring). No one by the name was registered in the building (even though its a house, we've lived there for 10 years and the drivers are out regularly).Funny how one day, particularly on a Friday, they can't find us, but there's never an issue mid week.
I recently got a free part as a replacement under warranty for a product I own... Item was shipped from US and it was clearly declared on docket that the item was free / gift!!UPS as ALWAYS decided to pass it through Customs / Duties and then came back to say that if I wanted the item I should pay for custom charges the amount of approx 15 euros... I paid as I needed the item to fix my product and when I received it I saw on the proof of payment that I paid 90% of the amount for UPS handling charges and the rest 10% on "taxes"... What in the actual hell? The item was free and its value was less than 15 USD, I paid 15 EUR for UPS to handle what??????This is high way robbery as it seems... They should NOT charge anything near the value of the item, they should NOT charge for a free item... I want a refund but when contacted customer service the response was very generic and that I will receive a proof of payment soon by post....!!! I cannot believe what courier services are doing in Ireland to get extra money... Appalling tactics!! I will never use UPS again in the future for any of my shipments (national or international)...
In my opinion the worst company I have ever dealt with. We are not their customer, our supplier is and they have lost 2 out of 3 shipments and this time they are demanding the VAT upfront on the shipment or they will not deliver the goods, but we supplied all the Irish Government VAT information on our tax clearance, but they want the money and then they will refund it. But I have previously paid the fees to them on a previous shipment and 7 months later I am still chasing them for my money. They have transfered me and hung up on me so many times that it is obviously the company's policy to keep their customers money
My dealing with them is "never again". I had a package sent from England. They sent an invoice for customs charges which is fine. I called and asked if they accept "cash on delivery". Yes was their answer. Within days, I received my parcel and paid the driver. About 2 to 3 weeks later I got a call from them telling me that I had not paid. I was asked to describe the driver which I did and then the person on the line recalled who it was and with no apology, left the call. Well today 31 March 2023, through the mail, I have an invoice for "late payment fee". I called their customer help line and was redirected to someone in India. He has no access to their system and cannot help me right away. He said though that the amount of the first invoice is not paid. How did I get my parcel on c.o.d? They are very disorganised. I will never ever use nor recommend such ineffeciency.
Every single time I get an update from a company telling me they've handed mu purchase to UPS I know the nightmare is about to begin. Appalling customer service, complete lack of any procedural knowledge. The most common phrase is "see if it arrives today and if not call back tomorrow". I was asked where my package came from, when was the label created and if I had contacted the shipper to see if it had been sent. All while looking at the UPS tracking page with all the information included right there. They're so clueless they're just trying to get you off the phone it's l diversion tactics and no common sense.They've had my package this time since the 17th of March stuck in their own customs section in Finglas and are escalating items to themselves. It'd be funny if it wasn't so infuriating.
