I had my wife's VW financed through VW Credit. After 3 years of autopayment, I traded my car to a dealership. The dealership sent the payoff to VW Credit by mistake and they applied the payoff to my wife's car...not the same car or VIN. They cut off my autopay. Released the lien and held the dealers money for a year. After a year of trying to get them to fix it, they sent the dealership their money and sent me repossession threats as they now considered me pass due. My account had been inactivated and I had no way to pay them for a year. After 4 VW's I will never do business with VW again. I ended up sending them a check to pay off the car so I would never have to deal with them again.
Volkswagen UK’s Customer Service Is a DisgraceVolkswagen has long been synonymous with efficiency and quality, but my experience with their customer service has shattered that illusion. Instead of providing genuine support, VW UK seems more interested in hiding behind bureaucracy and marketing ploys while making it as difficult as possible for customers to access essential information.I contacted them to verify my vehicle’s service history and DSG maintenance, only to be met with evasive responses and unnecessary hurdles. Despite owning my car since November 2024, I was told I am not listed as the registered keeper in their system—forcing me to chase up my V5 document just to access what should be readily available information. If VW actually cared about their customers, they would make it easier, not harder, to confirm service history and technical details. The reality is that VW’s reputation for precision and customer focus is nothing more than a facade. Their 'support' is unhelpful, and deliberately obstructive and there's no accountability or transparency. If you’re expecting efficient, world-class service, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Volkswagen UK has proven to be nothing but a letdown. Can I be bothered to write to VW Germany? Or the Motoring Ombudsman? That's probably a waste of time, too. I guess it's the era we find ourselves in, which is all about looking good on the outside but having no substance, sincerity, or goodness on the inside.
My 2022 Volkswagen TAOS has been in the shop since late February 2025 and not returned to me due to two essential parts are not in stock. Both myself and the repair shop I am dealing with have contacted Volkswagen Manufacturer several times each, please tell me how not one employee has an explanation to how they have not stocked my parts within six months?! No waiting list, no time line! I asked to speak to a supervisor and was denied. At this point I regret purchasing a Volkswagen. I’m in good standing payment with my vehicle and not able to drive it. I was not provided a lender car or any extra support to get my parts, it’s been a nightmare trying to get my car back and trying to handle my day to day tasks relying on others to help me.
What a money pit. Their parts website is also useless and misleading. My mom has a 2012 jetta wagen TDI and it leaks, as in water leaking through the windows and sun roof, all have poor seals, it has issues with the glow plugs and it is extraordinarily expensive to fix.
Volkswagen has a horrible customer service. I took my 2024 atlas to the dealership to fix a headlight that had condensation in it and they told me we are not going to fix it the car is 10 months old. They said it don’t effect the headlight itself. And then I tried calling the customer service line waited 2 hours never picked up. I will never get another Volkswagen ever again very unprofessional.
I was interested in another car, didn't really know much about trade ins. Went to VW to have my car serviced, long story short. Sale consultant Joe Schultz reach out to me, once I inquired about inventory, and walk me through each step, educating, listening to my situation with patience. As well as directing me to the best options, and choices to fit my budget etc. Joe Schultz went above and beyond for me, test driving , really wonderful experience, great consultant.I highly recommend Joe Schultz, if you're shopping for a car. Take yo tax return and treat yourself, don't cheat yourself. You'll thank me later!
I leased 2024 Atlas se from winn volkswagen but this car after 6000 miles make safty break issues,I was on dealers for three times and paid about $1000 for car rental because VW in LA does not provide loaner cars. The issue hasn't fixed yet and car has break issues. I called customer service (sera) she said they can not do anything for me. I have to cancel my trips and change my schedule because I can not trust this car ,or rent new car and open the lemon law, that she said thats ok.I called them ten times to fix this issue friendly but they didn't care about our safety, I mistake to deal with VW. This is the first and last time of my experience by VW in my life because of the poor customer services and quality.Do not recommended
