A couple of months ago, while using the self-service till, an assistant approached me and unnecessarily rummaged through my bag, questioning a pack of scouring pads I had purchased. Today, she questioned whether I had checked out, despite no alarms going off. After returning to the store due to forgetting an item, she insisted I open my bag again, claiming the items were theirs, even though I had just purchased them. I've witnessed others leaving with items unchallenged while I've been stopped multiple times.
I've had three disappointing experiences at a local store in just one month. On November 10, I found that the frozen hamburger patties I purchased were over a year past their expiry date. On November 17, the pomegranate I bought was completely rotten inside. The worst was on November 26 when I tried to exchange a ripped pack of crisps. The staff member reacted angrily and blamed me, displaying extremely rude behavior. Another customer even had to call the manager due to her attitude.
I've been shopping at a local store for the past eight years, and generally, the products have been satisfactory. Recently, I had to return a pack of chicken that had spoiled two days before the 'use by' date. I opted for a replacement, but the same issue occurred again with another pack. This will be my last purchase of chicken from this store. They are not as reliable as before, and many items are now priced higher than at other well-known supermarkets. It's time for a change.
The shopping experience has deteriorated to the point where I will not return. Since the introduction of self-checkout machines, the process has become stressful and disrespectful, prioritizing profit over customer satisfaction. I refuse to engage with these machines; I prefer traditional payment methods but won't accept being treated like a fool for checking my own items. This shift feels greedy and ignorant. After shopping here for over a decade, I'm now looking for alternatives that prioritize human interaction.
I had a bad experience at both local stores. I bought a pair of snow boots that were faulty. When I attempted to exchange them, the staff were unhelpful and insisted on a long process despite my urgency. The manager was absent, and the staff seemed uninterested in assisting customers. I wasted nearly two hours on what should have been a simple refund. The lack of customer care is disheartening, and I would recommend being cautious before making a purchase.
As a regular shopper, I recently visited a new location and had an unpleasant experience at the checkout. I was told to move my trolley to the end of the till, which seemed ridiculous. I left feeling frustrated and will avoid this store in the future. I've spent a lot of money here over the years, and being told how to pack my bags was the last straw.
I generally had a positive view of this store until now. While trying a product labeled as duck legs, I discovered they were sourced from China, which was disappointing. The packaging was misleading, and the taste was not satisfactory. I feel compelled to share this feedback because the store does not encourage customer input. It's unfortunate that I had such a negative experience.
I had a profoundly disappointing experience at a local store recently. While shopping with my family, we attempted to purchase three bottles of mulled wine. Despite understanding the age verification policy and offering proof of my son's age, the manager refused to consider it, preventing us from making our purchase. This rigid enforcement showed a lack of common sense and ruined our experience. Until staff are trained to apply logic and judgment, I cannot recommend this store.
