Review Time
Cover and price for an annual travel policy were good. When unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer, I had to cancel three trips. I managed to cancel most aspects, except deposits so submitted a claim for only £416. Claim response was quick, but insurer said it was three separate claims so deducted £150 for partner and I from each, leaving just £18 to reimburse. That did not seem fair.
If I could rate a negative star, I would. This company takes more than their promised timeframe to review and reimburse for your claims. They also transfer you multiple times and pass the buck. Do not purchase ticket event insurance through these scammers.
I'm pretty sure this is a scam company. Paid for missed event insurance for festival tickets just in case. Unfortunately had a massive flood at work the week of the event so needed to stay home to fix that. Because the flood happened more than 12hrs before the festival they wouldn't cover. What the heck! Why offer cover if you don't cover. Total rip off. AVOID THIS COMPANY.Also took them the best part of 4 weeks to tell me that I won't be getting my money back. Fuming!
I hold NatWest Black travel insurance (underwritten by Allianz). We booked our trip on 17/03/2025. Three weeks before travel, my mother-in-law’s condition deteriorated and she was admitted to hospital, so we cancelled and submitted full medical evidence.Allianz refused the claim because a doctor had recorded a terminal prognosis on 07/01/2025 and a cancer diagnosis on 18/11/2024, saying this falls under their exclusion for close relatives with cancer/terminal prognosis in the 12 months before booking—regardless of whether we were aware. We acted in good faith and only cancelled due to an acute decline and hospital admission. Allianz showed zero discretion or compassion and now say it can take up to 8 weeks to issue a final response letter.Outcome: no payout, no goodwill, thousands lost. If you’re considering this cover, read the exclusions very carefully—especially around relatives’ health—because they will apply the wording even in end-of-life circumstances. Extremely disappointed. -1/5. (Claim ref: UK2025 8010398)
My daughter had an ear infection whilst in Turkey. She required her ears examining, and flushing, and needed drops and antibiotics. I couldn't believe this cost a total of £850. Whilst away, I read the feedback on Trustpilot and was not filled with confidence at all about getting the money back due to have negative this was. I can honestly say the service I received since putting the claim in and the communication has been brilliant. I received the money back (minus the excess fee) and all within a week or so. Thank you, I will be using this company again!!!
Booked tickets for an event and paid extra for the insurance which was with Allianz.Found out 50 days later got the good news that my partner was pregnant. Due date was right before the event but due to having c-section before, she would need to have c-section again, which is a long recovery time. Contacted Allianz as pregnancy was listed as covered and they said I need to fill out the claim online. Got to the final bit of the online claim form and it’s requesting 9 documents to be uploaded! Some of which I wouldn’t have because they’re irrelevant to pregnancy but I can’t complete the claim without uploading them all.For a company to make it this hard to claim, it absolutely reeks of scam and I won’t be using them ever again
A completely pointless organisation. Usually forced upon a consumer as part of a separate purchase, whose cost has been inflated to cover this outfit's lousy offering. In the first instance they will fault to deliver the service contracted, in this case roadside assistance. The techs are ineffective, IT illiterate [tricky when relying on diagnostic laptops], and will complete the required paperwork necessary for the next stage of the job, especially if an alternative to the time to do that is knocking off early. Then when the customer is further inconvenienced due to Allianz's negligence and files a complaint, they will selectively interpret said complaint to somehow construe completely different events, thus failing to acknowledge any error on their part. When you revert to correct them, you will be waiting months for a response. They get their money through third party contracts so absolutely no incentive to deliver the service as advertised, as their actual clients are not impacted by the dismal service. Absolutely useless.
