Very disappointing " 4 star" hotel

Poor standard of reception area and stairs.Paint chipped, steep stairs overused as lifts minimal. Ridiculously long corridor to room . (200 steps)Failed shower, failed again despite being mendedPainting outside our room leaving smell and intrusion of workmen by windows. Lack of apology when complained. Poor choice of evening meal. Hotel looked from outside as if it was 60s flat block waiting for demolition. Nothing inside compensated!Our last stay was at best western , delightful and well maintained in Nimes , what a contrast!NB staff ( excluding manager) were all pleasant, breakfast good especially fresh fruit.

This only applies to BW Plus Olympus, Kalamoth Falls. 4/5.The Beds were very comfortable, but the pillows need to be washed after using the bed for sleeping, since my outer ear was bleeding.Got to see "Avatar 2: The Way Of Water" on TV for the first time.The Bathtub had good running warm water as to splish splash and take a bath on one Saturday Night.The Hot Tub was not that bad for bubbling water and temperature,but the pool had yucky brown spots on the bottom.I had enjoyed exercising at the gym, and the food was great.Thank You for the Cookies!The Managers were very nice.

Your commercial sucks

Every time your commercial is on, I either change the channel or mute it. Why? Because I HATE the stupid and very annoying noise (music) that you play, with the "doo doo" and the very childish annoying screaming noises. Who are you targeting? Teenagers?Hate it! Get a new marketing manager.

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!!

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!!! Amanda the manager is so greedy that she refused to refund the $30 dollars (30000 BW points). the more I talked to her the worst she was. said this review cost her money even if I changed it. Tried to explain I am 65 disabled and can not drive at night, and would ever leave somewhere at night. In fact I got stuck in a yard trying to see my relatives driveway. and she said well you do not know my age.Refused to settle this with me at ALL The wifi was 1 mbs normal is 50-100 mbs. when i sat on the bed to call , I sunk so far into the old worn out mattress I had a hard time getting out. they would not do any thing about it either, said they could not call the manager, but when i said I am leaving now after 3 hrs they called the manager and the manager would not refund my money so i left anyway . then they lied and said I was at the pool with grandkids, I am here by myself for a family funeral. and did not use the pool at all. and never got a refund from corporate either, they are just as greedy. I now have to go through the BBB and the Indiana states attorneys office just to try to get my 30 dolars in bw points returned to me.

Had a stay at best western Fremont they overcharged us the customer service people were rude they erased charches on credit card and charge it again in a different day stay away from properties

BW's online reservations suck

Best Western's online reservations website has not allowed me to use my credit card to make online reservations for over two years now. Every time I attempt to, I get a message about a credit card error, so each time I have to do the reservations by phone (and of course, there's no issue then). This is the only hotel chain in the world where I've had this issue, and for an internationally known hospitality chain like Best Western, this kind of ongoing tech issue is simply inexcusable. Do they still use dial-up modems?? Needless to say, every time I've attempted to get an answer by phone about this issue, no one can help. The agents acknowledge there's an issue, but each time I've been patched through to a "Customer Care" supervisor, they all give me the same answer: I don't know what you're talking about and I'm afraid I can't help you.Egregious service for such a well-known hospitality company. Sayonara BW! Will never use you again.

Thinking of Staying in a Best Western Hotel in the USA? THINK AGAIN!

My wife and I holidayed in Florida during July 2023, and pre booked stays in various hotels, as we have done annually for more than 20 years. We stayed at the Best Western Inn & Suites, Naples (3 nights) and Best Western Plus, Siesta Key (6 nights) having stayed in both hotels a number of times in recent years. After leaving the Naples hotel, I checked my bank account and was shocked to discover the hotel had fraudulently taken an amount of USD 519 (GBP 412) without my knowledge or consent. I contacted the hotel who were unable to help and suggested I call Best Western’s head office in Phoenix, Arizona which I did but after an hour waiting I was informed they had no record of the transaction. We then returned to Best Western, Siesta Key on 10 July for a final one night stay in Florida. Two days later after returning to the UK, I discovered that hotel had also fraudulently taken USD 236 (GBP188) from my account, again without my permission. I e-mailed the hotel asking for an explanation but my request was ignored. I contacted my bank, Chase UK who were aware of this type of ‘pre-authorisation’ transaction and told me I could expect the funds taken would be refunded (no guarantee offered) to my account a month or so later. 4 weeks later a refund was credited to my account. Sinisterly, the receipts I received from both hotels on check out did not show any record of those illegal transactions. Another sinister aspect of those transactions (both debit and credit) was all trace of them disappeared from my bank account thus removing any evidence. Fortunately, before they were deleted, I took a screenshot of the transactions.Lesson learned? we will not staying at Best Western again.

Castle Inn Hotel Cumbria(Disgusting) What a let down we booked excecutive room with acceptable bathroom as I am disabled, the room was disgusting carpets worn, wardrobe had chunks taken out of it and squeeked.we asked a memeber of staff we booked excecutive to be told this is it???? the curtain were ill fitted the kettle cheap and nasty tv didn't work properly. we paid for 2 robes and slippers she came back with 2 robes and 1 set of slippers and when queried this told oh the manager forgot to order them....the bathroom I might have caught legionaires disease the mould on the shower unit disgusting the drain full of hair you could see it coming through, also what look like a cup holder near the shower was very loose and the unit on the wall for the bin bags fell off. soaked when using the sink very small, Had the manger come to us next day and showed her and asked her what does exececutive mean to you I've stayed in a cleaner and better Premier Inn told her, showed her the bathroom boy I was so angry by this time and told her will leave it in your hands....breakfast was awful if you wanted cooked the bacon dried out and the rest got cold so quickly and greasy.... had lots of rain the day before and buckets out over the place but next day all gone and ceiling painted hope it doesn't collapse on anyone walking by.Long walk for me with 2 walking sticks to the room when asked if anyway closer to park yes almost right outside our door why weren't we told this instead of me struggling...fire alarm set off only us and 1 other person outside and the place was busy so the chap went into reception to be told all ok, so we had stood outside for all that time noone thought to come check on us, found out it was the water coming through the ceiling set of the alarm. Thinking of asking health and safety to pay them a visit please avoid like the plague well you might even catch it if your unlucky or something else...oh and it was being refurbished right outside our room smell of paint all over. oh the day of leaving packing the car my husband went to pay our bill and while away a knock on door housekeeping he just walked in ??? sorry he told me I could have just come out the shower and when we were leaving the room felt like a criminal being watched his head popped out from behind a wall and jumped back maybe thought we were doing a runner .....almost the worst 1 yet oh we recieved a £50 discount but that won't take away the awful time there although Keswick is delighful

BUGS in shower and sink

BUGS in shower and sink. No housekeeping to replenish towels and empty trash. Smoke alarm starts chirping at 2:30 AM, I remove battery still chirping, detector is hard wired and was hesitant to disconnect wires. called front desk and they cam and pulled wire. Next morning when I discussed my TOTAL DISSATISFACTION and LACK of SLEEP, DJ the manager tells me she will give me 7% off. 7% is an insult 7% is the tax. I explain if thats the best she can do, I am going to immediately check out in which I did. When I finally tracked down the owner Shantel , who would not return my call. He explains to me he is not responsible for the life of the battery. How bout the satisfaction of his customers or providing them with a comfortable place to sleep. HOW BOUT CHANGING THE BATTERYS EVERY YEAR LIKE THEY RECOMMEND!!. The owner is more concerned about pocketing as much money as he can and the maintenance is at a low or zero priority and its not fixed or repaired unless it broke. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL AS POSSIBLE
