Review Time
After a 10 hours drive, stopped at BW for one night rest before continuing the drive. It was a hot summer day and the AC at the room broke at 3 AM. could not get rest. In the morning tried to have breakfast before heading the road but the waffle machine was broke as well.Wrote a complaint to the hotel manager but did not get any reply back. Then wrote to the Head Office and to my surprise, the HO said they could not do anything.So, not only I did not get a rest that night, I paid around $400 for it and did not get any proper response to my complaints. The WORST HOTEL experience I had.
After several happy stays at St. Pierre we decided to celebrate our Silver Wedding. This turned out to be the right decision.Melanie, the Functions manager, created a wonderful party in the Cezanne Suite and guided us all the way with food choices and decorations. She even helped us locate a cake! Our bedroom, included in the package, was lovely, very clean and had every amenity, including a fan to cool us on the hottest days of this year. The four poster bed was very comfortable as was the leather settee.The reception staff are most helpful as always. They make us feel like family each time we stay. The dining room staff are most helpful and friendly, greeting us with a smile every morning. Breakfasts are good and plentiful with lots of choice.Bar staff will attend to your every need and give service with a smile and the odd joke depending who is serving. Ben has a dry sense of humour and can’t do enough for you.The party was run perfectly and to our needs. Whatever we asked for we got without question. The management made sure of that as they were also there in attendance and also gave us a gift and anniversary card.This brings me to Richard Hopper, the resident DJ of St. Pierre Hotel. I contacted him two weeks before the event and gave him a list of songs we preferred. All our guests were given 2 songs of their choice by me and Richard did his best to find them all, even Greensleeves that was played at our wedding. Our wishes were fulfilled and he guided us throughout the night to keep everything going just right. In a word he is absolutely ‘Amazing’.Thank you Richard, Melanie, Ben and all you wonderful staff at the St. Pierre Hotel! See you again in November!
We recently stayed at a Best Western in Woodhaven, Mi.Terrible experience! No free breakfast, bathroom was small and bed was not comfortable!Went to the hotel bar and bottle of beer was just under $5.00! Way overpriced room!Sure did put a bad taste in our mouths for Best Western Hotels!
I called on Best western official site to make a reservation for one room/2 nights, I was charged $512.13 at their inn in Haverhill Boston. At the end of my stay, my receipt shows $305.00. When I asked why I had two different kinds of charge, I am told that best western had a 3rd party reservation service system that book reservations for them online that charge me more for the room and also a service charge. I was not told they were a 3rd party service when I called, and they refused to reimburse me for the over charge. Why would Best Western allow a 3rd party reservation service to scam people. Be very careful when you call them, you can be scammed very easily and you can be charged twice for a crappy room with no service.
I stayed at a best western in NH requested for a crib. Called day of arrival with ETA was told it would be in the room. Got there no crib so asked front desk and they said they would run one down. We went to get groceries 1 1/2 hours later returned no crib. Went to front desk asked where crib was said I can set it up get it whatever needed... guy was rude said it'll get there when it does and he will cx my reservation. 30 minutes later it arrived. My son didn't nap he was very over tired the day was ruined. Customer service was very nice gave me 5000 pts but that's like 20$ on a 200$ day that was ruined. Worst hotel experience I've ever had and I never complain
We went for an unprompted evening meal at The Queen's Hotel Chester, after taking advantage of the 3pm-5pm happy hour and relaxing in the stunning hotel gardens, surrounded by amazing statues and historical architecture.At 6pm the staff managed to squeeze us into the main restaurant, as we had not pre-booked. We ordered our meal, after discussing our particular personal requirements with the Chef Fiona via Victoria the very professional, personable and friendly Restaurant Manager.The meal was extremely well prepared and professionally laid out ,,, in fact it was 'Michelinesk'. It was clear that the Chef Fiona put her love of high quality cuisine into every dish!The food was great, tasty and good size portions, well presented and the ambience was relaxing, as we were transported back in time with the large restaurant that was an art décor time capsule.We look forward to going back there again; we just hope that both Fiona and Victoria are working that same night.
Walked in , had to go find someone. Then was advised they were short handed and if we need more towels to leave the used ones in the hall and call front desk and they would have someone bring us replacements. Also was advised the room would not be serviced until the second day due to housekeeping short fall! Really!!! It was a Queen kitchenette but it had no microwave. Never stayed anywhere that the room did not have microwaves. Was told only suites had them. The only ones available were in behind the front desk. As room was at end of the hall, had to walk all the way to the other end then right another hall then right and all the way to the main entrance!!! Could have walked across the central pool area but the door was locked at 11pm but it was an interior door. Floors in the place were filthy and the pool was completely disgusting. Mater floating in the water and clouds of matter in pockets at the bottom of the pool every where. COMPLETE HEALTH HAZARD! There was at least two party groups using the "conference/Breakfast room. The music went on from the time I checked in ,3pm , until 1am that night! Was told at check in as our room was on the other side of the hotel we would not hear it. But you could hear the NON STOP thump thump anywhere in that place! Did not stop until 1am.
I booked a room online to ensure my reservation, ya know it’s 2022 that’s what you do. I had to get a room for personal reasons last minute. When I checked in the lady said “you got lucky. I had to give you the room first and that poor guy has been waiting in line.” I asked if there was a problem and she said “well it’s a Saturday night, full house snd you got the last room. AND you live in Berkeley?”. ??? Didn’t I just give you $160? And you’re complaining that I’m giving you business?I think she just wanted some sugar from the guy that waited in line. Gave me my card, and that’s it. The lady in the morning gave no eye contact, barely spoke, and off I went. Lol.
Had a horrible experience with the BW ship hotel at Weybridge, UKHad booked the hotel for 2 nights for a business trip. Was shocked to know that they had double billed my booking at the hotel. There was also an attempt to make the deduction from my card for the third time. However my credit card company realized this and they blocked the card. When i complained about this in the reception, no one is providing me any help. Everyone asks me to contact the Manager called Sarah who appears never to be in the Hotel. They told i will hear from the manager soon. But no one called me about this problem. When I told the lady at the reception that i will call the manager, she told me ''DONT DO THAT". What a supportive and friendly staff. This is my worst ever experience with any hotel. I have visited many hotels for several business trips. But nowhere i have had such experience. I would not recommend this hotel to any one.I never heard from the manager through out my stay. Did not get any support from her. This was my very first visit to the UK and had this experience.
