PCH, Long Beach, CA store was fantastic!I figured he was a manager because of his professional demeanor and extensive knowledge, I was surprised to find out he was not.This ma n should be the manager, he has everything it takes in my opinion and would be a good example to fellow employees he manages.My van runs perfectly smooth, everything Chauncey said was spot on perfect!Thank you Chauncey for the great help and thank you Big O for given me confidence in a place I can now trust to bring my vehicles to when in need of these services. When the agent checked my tires he told me I had had the tires nine years not possible I was not living in AZ in 2016 which is the date on tire. Then he told me the tire was two years old when installed. After six years warranty expired which would have been in 2024 so actually I have had them from 2018 to 2025 not nine years. So they should tell customers that tires are two years old when installing the tires also warranty if they count the date on tires and not the actual date tires on car. Just ask questions because they do not tell you.
Don't go here if you want to wait hours on hours even if you have an appointment. I have an appointment for 1 pm. They said it will take several hours to look at my tire. Literally I just need my tire checke for a nail. The only reason why I came here instead of discount is because it's under warranty. It's not the first time this has happened. I will not be using Big O for any of my car needs after my warranty is up. There are many other mechanics to choose from.
I bought two new tires and had the front end alignment added.My TPMS light on the dash was still on when they finished,I was told it would go off after I drove a few miles.It did not turn off so I went back and was told I needed a new battery for my valve stem signal system.They scammed me into paying for the battery&the light still did not turn off.Then they said it needed to be hooked up to a scanner to reset it, the light turned off but came back on the next day so I went back a third time and was told the cold weather affected the tire pressure they checked the air in my tires and said it should turn off now.It never did turn off and is still on weeks later despite three follow up visits ! !
Do not know how to fix a slow leak and rude technician. Rip off. Went to a different service and they found a nail for the slow leak.They had helped me at one point to repair my punctured tires July 2024, but it has proven to be very temporary fix. Air started to leak out about a month or two after, I first thought it was just wear and tear air leak, so I went to a gas station and fill up the air. But the low tire pressure started happening frequently, so I went to them again. Because it was out of the warranty period of one month, I had to pay again. Which Understood, so I paid. That was October 15, 2024.I almost wanted to give them a bit higher score because of that first encounter, but what I have experienced in the subsequent visit has totally changed my mind about this business.During the October 15th, first I had to wait for about a week to get my appointment to visit the technician. I waited about 30 minutes to have it done. At the end of appointment I asked the technician why the tire pressure dropped all the time, he sounded very impatient and a bit demeaning, letting me know I just had to deal with it but didn't tell me what exactly the issue was. I walked away confused $40 short, hoping that this won't happen again.The tire pressure start the dropping a few days after that one month warranty expired, so now it was November 11th. This time I will not bother to bring my car back to this location because of the terrible service and convoluted charge. I would have been better off just going to a gas station and fill up my tires, which would last me about the same time for $2.50.If you would like your tires to be properly fixed I don't recommend this business at all. Maybe in a pinch if you have a puncture they can help you but I doubt the quality of their work. I hate to say but I felt like they just want you to visit repeatedly.
If i could give Negative stars i would. I paid 1000$ to get my truck fixed and running - it was towed in with a no crank no start problem the battery was changed, the electrical systems checked then the spark plugs and fuel system changed and cleaned -- one week later to the day my truck wouldn't start, same problem, when i called i was told i would have to pay for towing and that i would have to pay to have it fixed, so in other words no warranty past the parking lot, I wont even go into the crappy customer service i was presented with when i called and like always there was no manager on duty no one there could help me. i will never use your service again and i'm canceling my accounts with you. I should have never used your company in the first place, expensive mistake. i will also tell everyone i see to do the same.
A few months ago I had an appointment @ 11:00 for an oil change. When I got there, everyone took off for lunch. I waited 2 hours. Today I had an appointment @ 8:00 for an oil change. My vehicle was immediately put in the alignment bay?????An hour and half later it had not been moved or touched. I got my keys and left. It's obvious appointments at this location mean nothing. Meanwhile, the place is full of people waiting and the staff is in no hurry whatsoever to get things done. The service is terrible and attitude is too. I’m very angry at Big O Tires right now. 11 months ago (8,000 miles driving) I purchased 4 new tires at Big O, for about $1500. On Friday one of my front tires blew out without warning. Took it to a different tire shop, and learned that Big O had reversed new front and rear tires. Front tires have been continuously rubbing and getting worn down from the inside, until one totally wore through. Other front tire was ready to blow out as well (inside looks totally shredded). I needed to replace both damaged tires, at a cost of almost $750 - simply because of Big O’s incompetent installation.
