Just had an awful experience. I have used 15+ different of these kind of apps, and yesterday while on a bird bicycle in barcelona it wouldn't let me park anywhere, it said I was not on a bicycle parking spot. I recorded my screen and desperately tried to reach support but impossible to contact with them, their ai bot just asking me to repharse the issue. I had to leave the bicycle as I had a meeting wondering what would happen. they charged me 15 euros before it auto locked, and then offered me 5 euros credit. Their support kept sending the same canned answer that if I already got the 5 euro credit I should go and check it under xyz tab, basically, we charged you a lot and we dont care.
App is ridiculously buggy and pricing is confusing and expensive. Paid US45 to walk it half a mile because it would not allow me to end the ride and was malfunctioning constantly. Try reporting an issue - good luck. Issues with reporting issues - app doesn’t allow most functions it purports to have. Total ripoff and support is non-existant. Beware of this enterprise and resent scooters from a reputable dealer.

AVOID:AVOID:AVOID! Multi hire failed abysmally. Charged several euros for standing still. Unable to end the ride as I was not in a parking zone... I hadn't even moved! Gave up. Reported issues. still charged 6€! P.S. parking zones are few and far between. Why can't we just leave them in a safe spot like Bolt?Scooters are either broken flat or just not registering on the app. Hire attempt was in Matosinhos. Portugal. AVOID:AVOID:AVOID!
Unfortunately can’t give negative stars, after first (and will be only) experience with BIRD in Rome. First scooter set up, only then to realise the phone holder was missing (very inconvenient in city you don’t know well). So cancelled and tried a second scooter - set up and went to go, but nothing. Wouldn’t go at all. Gave up and took a taxi. Later realised that despite never actually being able to use either scooter, I had been charged THREE SEPARATE TIMES. Tried their help line which allowed me to send the complaint, but the answer was “have to get someone to help you with that” but never did and now can’t send anything further to them, just won’t send. How do people get away with operating like that - they’re just crooks - not a lot of money involved but theft nonetheless. DON’T USE BIRD if you don’t have to.
