If I could give 0 I would. Our experience with this company was deeply frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. The customer service is absolutely appalling — no one was willing to take responsibility or even attempt to resolve the issues we faced. Every time we reached out for help, we were either ignored or passed around with no real support.We were also given completely incorrect information about petrol prices, which led to us paying far more than necessary for the journey we took. When we raised this, it was brushed off without any accountability.To make matters worse, there was a problem with the car itself — and again, no one wanted to assist. We were left to deal with the situation on our own, with no guidance, apology, or even basic courtesy.I strongly advise others to avoid this company. Do not hire from them. The service is unprofessional, unreliable, and not worth the hassle or the cost.
I would give no stars if possible, my partner hired a van. Handed it back on the 3rd May. They have now invoiced him for damages , claiming a key missing which happened on the 29th May. That is 26 days after he handed it back . How could he have lost a key when he handed the van back before the date the keys were lost!!!! Just received a email today!@
Booked a car - I had to change the card that I booked with from Amex to Mastercard as they wouldn't take the Amex card at the desk to pay, then I got an email canceling my booking charging me £45 fee to cancel and then charged a further £100 for the new hire of the rental. Not once did I cancel the booking simply change the payment method, so they can't take the payment at the desk but have authority to take it off my card anyway. Still waiting on a refund of the cancellation fee - Customer services are useless.
I recently rented a car in Uckfield Europcar…. Ollie was well informed and polite - excellent customer service - he offered an upgrade to auto which I took. The car was perfect and almost new only done 20k miles. He remembered me on my return too! Will definitely use again.
Every single time I have dealt with Europcar I have had nothing but problems!!!I tried to book a vehicle as per my insurance company had advised.It took 8 phones call over 2 days and 3 agents to finally get it booked.I received an erroneous email confirming my booking for the wrong date and found that I’d been lied to by agents about the booking being made.Then the car wasn’t delivered on time (over an hour late) after I called to find out where it was and was told.The booking hasn’t been put on the computer.Car was great in fairness, a few bits of damage (which I have photos and videos of) but ran like a dream.Today I took the car to the garage as agreed and tried to advise Europcar I had left the vehicle as agreed.6 phone calls, 2 agents and countless lies later (and being talked over) I’ve been advised that the car will be collected tomorrow.I’m very sceptical and wouldn’t be surprised if it’s isn’t collected. I was promised written confirmation to protect myself and haven’t received it.We’ll see if it is collected or not and if it isn’t I swear I’m going to go absolutely nuts!!!I would rate 0 if I could and would highly recommend not using Europcar.Interestingly I’m clearly not on my own.
Absolutely disgusting service. I just spent 1 1/2 being placed on hold by 3 of their employees at the motability rental. They were rude. They didn’t know how to help me so fobbed me off by placing me on hold or either cutting me off. I’ve never ever had such bad service. It frustrated me so much i ended up having to take tablets for goodness sake. After this experience I would suggest that Europcar Uk need to train their employees. Anybody could do the service they provide!! Crazy experience And all I wanted was to find out where the rental car was that an employee there, yesterday PROMISED me that it would be delivered today. Obviously I guess it’s not coming today. It’s left me so stressed out and wasted so much time when it could have taken only 1 employee that actually knew their job to tell me what is happening.
Hired a car with them, via Jetcar, turned up, they put my info into the system and told me they couldn't give me a car.Still waiting for a refund. For context I then walked to Enterprise, an hour and a half away who sorted me out with a car within 10 minutes despite me not having a booking.
Booking car over the phone, very good over the phone, But when i arrive , they say they need to do it again , which i dont have any problem, But they charge me £20 more , and when i ask way the guy simply say that is the price without saying way and ignore me, then we walk outside , he simply pass me the keys a say you can check it if you like, then i sign the paperwork, was i bit raining that time, i cannot start the car,so walk back and ask for help, the guy was eating his steaming hot lunch, now i know why he was in so much rush , another guy help me after 5 minutes he manage to start the car,telling me he dont know where was the problem, then i left, not happy with the customer service, the car is ok to drive so far
If I could have given less stars I would have, this "company" canceled my booking a day before I need the car leaving me in a right pickle! Now they're refusing to refund my money saying that they have no record of taking the money from my bank so now I have to prove to them that they have my money!!!!! Then wait to see if I'll ever get it back! Do not use this scam company!!!!
