Purchased a new Hover-1 "My First Hoverboard" for my daughter for Christmas. Opened it up and it was her favorite present. Plugged it in to charge fully as the instructions stated. After charger indicated a full charge, tried to power on the board, and nothing. Opened a support ticket on December 27th - had to attach receipt and did so. It is now January 16th and they have not responded or given us any sort of update. I called the support number on their website over the weekend and got a recording that, if I needed assistance to open a ticket from the website, then the call terminated.HORRIBLE Service.
Do not purchase anything from Hover-1.We purchased a Hoverboard from Argos and it worked ok for almost a year. It no doesn't work with a Red X on one side of the device and the other side not working at all.Hover-1's support is non existent. The company listed within manuals no longer has anything to do with Hover-1 (As they themselves said Hover-1's service was terrible) and you are therefore left with having to send an e-mail to a catchall address which no one responds to. I sent an e-mail over a month ago with zero acknowledgement or response.I really don't understand how UK retailers are still able to sell their product as their products and service are absolutely terrible.Furthermore, you only have to search Hover-1 on Ebay to find literally hundreds of listings of faulty / spare part boards which clearly show a major issue in their product quality and design..I will never purchase another Hover-1 product again and i suggest you don't either!
Been waiting over a week for a response after submitting a ticket. Hover-helix hoverboard did not charge out of the box. No way to talk to a person, only submitting a ticket and waiting. Very concerning that so many are having same problem.Updated: Since writing this review Hover-1 has responded almost immediately. This is part of my problem. They say they have an overwhelming amount of customer service claims this time of year but can take the time to respond to my 1 star review. I’d rather them take the time to respond to my unusable hoverboard I paid for and have not been able to use.
I bought a Hover1 Journey scooter from Currys and it broke after 6 months of use but under warranty Currys sent back and Hover delivered a new one - great service - upon opening the box it doesnt work and have tried all avenues of Hover support to get reply from email to calling and even replying direct to there email apologizing for the first one breaking but no one for 5 weeks has acknowledged this. Not good customer service/support after a lot of money spent.
I bought 2 brand new hover boards for my kids for Christmas. They opened them up on Christmas day only to find NEITHER worked. I contacted customer service for help explaining that my kids (who are still big santa fans) couldn't understand why santa would send them broken toys and asking for their help to fix it. I went through the process of sending receipts twice- obviously once isn't enough, then had to send videos of me trying to switch them on. After a number of weeks I got an email saying that it was a battery issue and due to parts shortages I was just to get a refund...Explain that to 2 kids who believe santa brought them hoverboards for Christmas.I'd have happily taken 2 new batteries in the post and fitted them myself but nope. It really screams of Hover-1 just couldn't be bothered.Very disappointing
I purchased this scooter for my daughter the battery only lasts 5 minutes even on eco mode. I’ve tried ringing customer service number and no reply it disconnects. I’ve emailed sent in photos and my receipt still no reply. I’ve sent several emails since last October and I’m getting nowhere
THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Bought a Hoverboard for my kid a MONTH ago!! Still have not received my it. Called their customer service number which was useless because NO ONE ever answers the phone. So I submitted a help ticket over a week ago and no one responded. So reached out via FB messenger and someone told me a replacement item was being sent out that very day and that it would get to me today (a week later) but still nothing! Reached out to them again today and I can see they have read my messages but they refuse to respond. Reached out to them via Instagram messenger hoping someone different would be more helpful…I was WRONG! They won’t respond via Instagram either. For a company that advertises their products as many times as they do via social media, you would think they would have time to respond to customers. It’s a shame and had I known this company’s customer service was this terrible, I would have NEVER ordered anything from them.
Bought a Hover-1 Turbo Hoverboard and Go-Cart in August, to make sure we had it in good time for Christmas, my son unwrapped it yesterday and we charged it for the 4 hours they recommend, but straight away, the two green lights on the top, one is constantly red, and constantly beeping, so you can’t use the machine. Tried doing a calibration but no better, also the two halves are coming apart in the middle, it’s not even turned a wheel anywhere with the problems!! Curry’s where we purchased it don’t want to know, they just pass a non-existent phone number on. Tried the email and phone number off the webpage, with no luck also. All in all a very very poor product, we paid a lot of money for something that doesn’t work, and looks like it isn’t going to get resolved, one upset boy this Christmas. Avoid like the plague. Only gave 1 star as you cannot give none.
Replacement product was provided very quickly once they were satisfied with the information requested. The replacement has worked great. The only reason I haven't awarded 5 stars is because their response to my initial email was a bit slow.
