Camera failed just after 18 months. Called customer service tech support. Rep had me go through several steps to ensure it was connected and powered just tell me that it was out of warranty. Why all the steps? I am very displeased that 1 of my 4 cameras has failed just after 18 months. Does this mean that the other 3 will fail soon as well? I have =RING cameras at another property for nearly 10 years now and they all still function well. I figured Lorex was supposed to be better RING and gave it a try. Well, Lorex is apparently not better.I hope that Lorex can provide better support and replace my 18 month old camera. Please train your tech support reps better.
Great product terrible return policy. We purchased ahead of time on Nov 2nd to have these installed in December when signed on the home. Decemeber 17th we noticed we had to many cameras/ wiring. I started a return for the unopen items and they will not take them as a return since its past 30 day. Not restocking fee options or anything. Writing this review so others are aware.
My Lorex NVR 4K security system has been extremely unreliable. It regularly fails to detect people and vehicle movement on my driveway, both at night and now even during daylight hours. These faults are ongoing and unresolved, despite the system still being under warranty until 30 December 2025.I have contacted Lorex numerous times via the app and support channels and have attempted to raise a formal complaint with no success. Most messages go unanswered, and the one support intervention I received did not fix the issues. Reporting faults has now become a daily occurrence.Support for UK customers is particularly poor. I have been unable to reach a UK-based representative and am repeatedly asked to call expensive overseas numbers, which is unreasonable.I have requested a replacement under warranty or a refund if a replacement is not available, but customer support has not responded (again).I would appreciate Lorex finally acknowledging this review and contacting me to resolve these issues.
BUYER BEWARE! Gutted, purchased direct from Lorex.com the NVR fusion 4K plus 2 bullet cameras A14s (the cameras didn’t have any stickers on to show any details so unable to register under warranty). Although just finding out the warranty is worthless even if registered! Purchased on 30/11/2025 only just able to try to install as was Christmas present, NVR came with two pin plug so contacted tech support, tried an adapter, cameras not working, sent to customer support for correct power cable to be sent and nothing, no response from either of their support contact us outlets I tried many times but to no avail. Not sure where to go from here as out of the return 30 day period. Do not touch this company if you actually want a product to work or to have any sort of support if it doesn’t work. Ghosted comes to mind!
I’ve had a frustrating experience with Lorex’s Pan-Tilt 2K WiFi camera. The camera frequently stops recording its 24-hour footage indefinitely until I manually reboot it. This issue has worsened over time, now happening every few days, which means I have to check the camera each morning and reboot it if it’s stopped recording.On my first call to support, one representative claimed the SD card was full, not realizing that the camera’s looping feature manages storage automatically. On the second call, they want me to do internet connection test. However, on the third call, the support representative insisted that any internet disconnect would cause the camera to stop recording indefinitely until rebooted. This was confusing because the camera stores footage locally on the SD card and shouldn’t depend on internet stability for local recording. Yet the tech support blames :1)upload is only 24-25 Mbps( this is standard upload speed for NYC households)2) your WiFi is not direct source. I use a WiFi 6 router connected the modem thru Ethernet cable. And seem is not direct, it may cause my camera stop recording indefinitely.3) you internet may not be stable, it will cause your camera stop saving footage in your local SD cards.Additionally, I was disappointed by the overall quality of the technical support. It felt like the support staff lacked basic knowledge about how the camera works, which was surprising and frustrating.I feel the tech support team is try their to blame the fault on other things. My guess the excuse they will use is the air quality in NYC cause the cameras stop recoding.
If i could give 0 i would. I ordered an indoor camera directly from Lorex, it arrived fairly quickly and looked smart. I followed the instructions and linked the camera to the app, but the set up would not complete. After exiting the set up process to start again all I received was a message saying the camera was already linked to my email. Nothing would reset the camera and there was no way to show the camera even though it was supposedly linked. I called the service line multiple times and it just hangs up on you. I contacted the sales chat on the website, who wouldn't help me just kept giving me the 'helpline' which hangs and an international number. They were quick to send me a return and refund link. They obviously know there is a big big issue with their products.
Their customer service department is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Ive spent 4-5 hours on the phone and 7 separate phone calls trying to get ONE POWER ADAPTER replaced. STILL dont have it settled. Customer service departments are the backbone of a company. In this case Lorex is a JELLYFISH… Absolutely infuriating and embarassing. They dont even know the specs of their own equipment to replace one thats CLEARLY faulting with a video for proof. Im beyond fed up with this company.
