Horrendous and confusing experience…

Horrendous and confusing experience with (a) Win.11 and (b) Outlook.I have come to rely on MS for desktop computing but It seems the company has lost the plot. Win.11 offers a confusing presentation, it is illogical and faulty. If only a decent company like Samsung, for instance, could produce a rival online platform, the end user would then have a better choice,Maybe I should think about just using Google or Apple.

I've got a feeling the support side is…

I've got a feeling the support side is all contracted out. I had a very simple problem to sort out. They sent an email about the renewal of my Microsoft Personal 365. I received another one confirming the subscription payment and that the next payment would be the next year. Two weeks late they sent another email to tell I would be billed for the same subscription in a week's time. Tried to tell them ther must be a mistake somewhere. I provided all the info needed in advance (about Microsoft's emails, my payment service provider's invoice info, the info showing up in my profile(. After three attempts and a "disconnection" nothing has been solved yet. I had to deactivate the automatic renewal and disable payment from my payment service provider. If they try to bill me again for the same service and told I have to pay to access their product, that's over for me. No longer need those products and will use alternatives. I think the help support contractor has a very limited access to info so no matter what supporting documents or info you provide they don't see it. I'm not even sure I will try to recoup the amount pais so far because of the hassles. Is it worth it? Is Microsoft worth my time even if they have my money? Let's see...

Wireless mice messed up by Windows update!

Maybe two years ago a Windows update caused a lot of havoc with wireless mice! That was a pain but it was eventually corrected. I had even forgotten all about it, until it happened again recently! Again, I did a Google search and found out that a lot of people were having the same problem. Tired two wireless mice, same problem, tried different ports, nothing helped. Eventually had to contact Microsoft and have now wasted a lot of time trying all the hacks they want me to try. They did owe up that this is their fault and that both the brands of my wireless mice are among the brands having problems, but so far nothing has helped. I am now very afraid of doing updates, because recently Samsung messed up a huge amount of phones, now Microsoft again messing up Windows... what on Earth is going on? I know people who therefore refuse to have anything to do with updates and have done for years. Companies have no pride in their brands anymore! As long as they know that they will always have customers, they could not care less and it is up to us to pay them a lot of money and pick up the pieces! No wonder when you contact the Microsoft Support Service you usually have over 60 people ahead of you and more often than not, even if you think that you are contacting the Technical Service, you never seem to be and it takes a while for them to tell you that you are not. All a huge mess! It has now been surely over one month since this started and no end in sight, so, for now, I use a very old, wired mouse!

Lock people out of accounts - broken systems

Do not trust Microsoft with your valuable personal detail anymore. Their account security processes especially in Europe / UK are horrible.Hundreds if not thousands of reports of Microsoft locking accounts on yeh grounds of suspicious activity multiple times with no evidence presented or tips to stop it happening. Then their unlocking processes don't work for UK phone numbers or in other countries. One of the richest corporations in the world cant manage verification processes. It's diabolical. The offer only phone number verification (even if there are other options on the account) and they don't deliver the codes to the phone numbers. It's worse if you switch on 2fa which is just the cherry on the cake isn't it. You'll be punished for following their guidance and industry best practice.Try a more reliable email provider if your emails matter to you. I have spent hours of my life on this issue - and countless weeks troubleshooting shitty Microsoft bugs and "features". So done.

Windows 11 is disappointing

Having been forced to buy a new computer, at Microsoft's insistence, to accommodate Windows 11, I at least expected it to be good. But it hangs up repeatedly, even when just altering text to bold or coloured. In terms of performance, it's like going back to the 1990s.

I purchased a suite last year that I was never able to access and received zero support. I just received a charge on my account for $107 that I did not authorize and still no way to contact customer service. These companies get so big that they forget that the customer is the one actually buying their products and without customer you loose the money you value of your customers.
