Returned the appliance since July and haven’t had my money back

Bought a washing machine twin dos on finance for £1649. Paid £25 for fitting and the fitters didn’t even fit. Ended up returning the product as it broke down after 2 months and since July, I’ve still been paying every month for it.I’m calling everyday and I’m not getting no where

Appalling customer services. Avoid Miele.

I am copying below the review I placed on the Miele GB page sharing my experience of dealing with their customer services department. At the foot of this, you will also see Miele GB’s response to my posting. No attempt to remedy the situation - just a standard bot style response. That in itself speaks volumes to show how Miele is not the brand it once was and is best avoided.Posted on Miele GB page:I always regarded Miele as a quality manufacturer with excellent customer care and have been a loyal customer for almost 3 decades. However, my current experience getting a tumble dryer repaired could not be further from that and I would now warn anyone against purchasing a Miele appliance.Customer service is truly appalling. The website refers to repairs being carried out by a Miele Service Partner. What it doesn’t make clear is:a) who this service partner is and that they are not actually part of Mieleb) their service partner, despite being approved by Miele, do not have the same knowledge of the machines. They do not do thorough trouble shooting, they do not know the error codes (I had to show them the Miele website before they would accept what I was reporting) and they do not offer viable solutions. After two unsuccessful call outs from Domex, their advice was ‘tape machine shut to see if that helps’c) Miele take no responsibility whatsoever for the failings of Domex. They will not send a Miele technician out without a further call out charge and simply say it is nothing to do with them and you must take it up with Domex.Miele Customer Services do not return calls when promised. They do not read emails properly and they either respond with answers that are not relevant to the matter in hand or they simply give a stock response that Domex is a separate entity and it’s nothing to do with them.To be clear, I did not contact Domex. They contacted me after I requested a Miele engineer visit via the Miele website. It was not clear what the relationship between Domex and Miele is. No terms and conditions stating them being separate entities were provided and it is entirely reasonable to expect - when booked via the Miele website - that a knowledgeable, Miele endorsed engineer would attend the call out, and that a company supposedly renowned for quality would stand by their customers in the event of any problems.Sadly this is not the case. Customer Services insisted that a Miele call out would be chargeable. Not prepared to pay another call out charge, I contacted Miele three times to cancel the Miele engineer appointment that had subsequently been booked. These calls were also ignored. The Miele engineer arrived for the call out but I had to turn him away. He advised that since the Miele office had been moved to Greece, this level of disorganisation and dwindling customer care is the norm and he had already had two similar scenarios that week already. In summary, Miele is appalling. Their customer service is a disgrace. It is little wonder that they closed their Twitter feed in an attempt to smother this being made public. A quick google search however shows that my experience is not unusual and the internet is awash with complaints about them.My advice is to avoid Miele at all costs. The premium paid for their appliances is no longer reflected in their after care service. More competitively priced products such as Bosch, Neff etc will be a much better alternative.Date of experience: 12 April 2024EditReply from Miele Great BritainAn hour agoThank you for your review. Appalling

I booked an engineer visit for 22/01/24, took the day off work to be at home for the engineer, recieved a text at 8:21 that morning to say the engineer wouldn’t be able to attend, complete waste of a day that I could have been working and earning money (I can send you the bill Miele). My phone then broke the next day so I was without a contact number. Any Miele emails to me go straight in to junk. Unbeknownst to me, Miele went ahead and booked another visit for an engineer to attend my property on 3/2/24 (a day which I was not at home) and despite receiving no confirmation from me whatsoever about this appointment then apparently turned up at my property (unable to gain access because, you know, I was away and never booked the appointment) and then sent me the bill (£170) for not being there for the engineer! I’ve emailed back and fourth with multiple Miele employees explaining the situation expecting that of course due to the circumstances and the fact that I DID NOT BOOK THE APPOINTMENT that Miele would apologise for the mix up and retract the invoice. But no, they have instead sent a letter demanding payment for the visit. Absolutely appalling customer service. Awfully overpriced and faulty products I will be steering well clear of Miele in future and won’t touch their products with a barge pole!

Not surprised that Miele has only 1.4…

Not surprised that Miele has only 1.4 Stars from over 2,000 reviewers. I thought Miele was supposed to be top of the range, but next time I will be buying Japanese, so much more reliable. We have been struggling with Miele's so called "customer service" for some months. We bought a brand new freezer for over £2,000 and it arrived faulty, and is still not fixed months later. They are not "customer centric" - it's all about their own convenience, not the customer. The customer service help line talks about their "process", and there is no deviation from that, because it's all about them, not the customer. I recommend you buy another brand.

Poor customer service

We had a fault with our drier which we tried to rectify using the instruction booklet and calling Miele Customer Service. Customer Service said we needed an engineer to call. He came and resolved the problem within a minute. It was a simple solution and the booklet should have been clearer but, critically, customer service should have suggested the simple check the engineer carried out. I contacted Miele but they refused to credit the call-out charge I have since spoken with Miele again. I am satisfied that they have taken the issue I raised seriously, although I still feel my point was valid. I have now paid the call-out fee and I would raise my rating to 3 Star.

Triflex HX1

Bought a Triflex HX1 4yrs ago. The machine its self is ok not bad but not brilliant. This is an expensive vacuum ...£550. I have replaced the battery at another £150 about a yr ago, now this battery does not charge properly, so i've spent £700 on a vacuum and within 4 yrs its not working. I contacted Miele and was told that i could sent it off to them and for a price of £175 they would fix it !!!! So the cost of owning an ok vacuum cleaner would then rise to £875. Am i the only one that thinks that is ridic. I have a Henry that i bought secondhand about 10 yrs ago and it has had NOTHING done to it and it still works. I stupidly bought this cordless for its convience 😂. Maybe i am wrong but a machine of this supposed quality should NOT go wrong within 4 yrs ?

Poor after sales service

Having had a fantastic Miele vacuum for 20 years I decided to replace it with another Miele C3 vacuum cleaner. The trouble I have experienced getting it delivered has been appalling and very stressful. Equally trying to get dust bags which the purchaser is entitled to. However, after spending forever on the phone I have now been promised them and to be fair the call handler was helpful. We shall see! Finally, the original sales person told me she would register the warranty for me but I don’t have any written confirmation of this so if I have a problem in the guarantee period I’m not sure it will be honoured. Had I read the reviews before I ordered the replacement vacuum I would not have done so. I was so sure they Miele was a reputable company but I’m not impressed by current experience.
