BIG FLOOD DISASTER IN VANCOUVER CONDO.I tried to give zero stars but not possible. Our entire building in downtown Vancouver is equipped with Miele appliances as part of a developer package purchase for 293 units. My 5 yr old laundry washer failed and flooded my condo and the unit below due to the automatic water inlet valves on machines staying stuck open. Completely damaged the floors in my unit and the unit below. Miele sent the service guy 10 days later who confirmed that the valves are faulty. He said this problem is common. It is now 3 weeks since that service visit and no response even though I'm dealing with the president's office in Vaughn, Ontario. Miele spends a lot of marketing money to build up their brand but are completely incompetent when it comes to taking care of the problems and the customers. There is a huge showroom across the street where I will be dumping off this $2500 piece of crap and buying a Japanese or Korean unit. No wonder Miele has laid off 2000 people recently and moved their manufacturing to China and Poland. Nothing German about this brand except the name. Stay away from Miele....I wouldn't keep a Miele if it was given to me !!! Grossly overpriced for a pile of junk !!!
Expensive “cat and dog” vacuum cleaner simply cannot cope; the roller rapidly clogs and is impossible to clear without dismantling, even without having to contend with pets, it can’t get even halfway around our house without overheating and cutting out, after which it has to be left to cool for up to an hour before it can be used again.So much for “quality German engineering”.It’s just stopped, again.ETA:Thank you for your response; I have emailed you as suggested.Further ETA 04/10/24:On 12th September, someone from Meile did call me but as I was driving, he suggested that I call him back on the displayed number when I arrived home which I did. Unfortunately the number was for a call centre and the bod was unable to transfer me to anyone in the appropriate team, but assured me that someone would call me back "as soon as possible". Here we are, more than three weeks later, and I am still waiting for the call.Yet another update 31/01/2025:I have just sent another reminder to call me.I am absolutely fed up with this "vacuum cleaner" now; it works for about 20 minutes, then goes on strike for an hour or more to cool down.Further update 17/02/25:I did get a call from a chap in customer service who did his best to help by sending me some new filters which may help by alternating one in use, with one being washed.The problem seems to be simply one of capacity; the dust container is very small, and the filters clog rapidly, making the machine suitable only for a very small flat or house.
The website say you can track your order, there is no way to track your order. After the online purchase, i received an email confirming my purchase but 9 days since I placed my order, not even a single email to advise the tracking details or if the order has even been dispatched. I used the chat service and the rep couldn't help and asked me to call Miele Contact Centre. The chat service, is a waste of time because this is my 4th time to get some infor, and I have been asked to call the Contact Centre every time! I did call and follow up on my order. I had ordered 2 items, one got delivered but the other is lost and if I hadn't queried my order, i would be none the wiser. Another unit has been dispatched but again with no tracking details. I am in the lurch! I hope you can use my feedback to improve the service as I do rate the Miele products quite highly but the service needs to be improved.
Unrepairable fridge freezer. Nice design but poor quality build. To have to write off an appliance after a few years is unacceptable. No adequate answer from the company or any offer to encourage me to stay with the brand. Angry and disappointed that the German factory I bought from over the last 50 years is now a multinational company as crap as any other. I will not pay extra for a name that no longer means any extra quality.
Terrible service ! We bought a dryer and washing machine after Christmas, took ages to deliver, no previous instructions, they came and left saying we had to have a specific plug for the washing machine.. we had to call a plumber.. they took ages to come back .Despite all that we bought a new dishwasher from them recently, they came and installed it and since then the pipe above the connection they added is leaking.. they came back to say that the leak was there before they installed it !The question is, if that was true ( which is not ) why did the kaboodle technician connected the new dishwasher on a leaking tube ?? All lies and incompetent staff !! Only John Lewis from now on ! Horrible service!!! No time for time wasters like Miele! Please stay away !!!
We ordered a new fridge/freezer. On placing the order 14 August we were given a delivery date about a week away. When the day arrived and no delivery it transpired that the order had not been put through to the warehouse so another date was set about 10 days later. Today the delivery arrived but was damaged so was taken away and a new date was set for a weeks time. We have been without refrigeration for over 2 weeks and on complaining we were offered a piddling £50 voucher to spend on Miele products. Customer service could hardly be worse. I awarded Miele a one Star if I had been able to it would have been a minus figure. You have been warned DO NOT deal with these people
Have purchased many Miele products over the years but never again due to truly awful customer service.Bought a washing machine in Jan 24 with an £85 cash back deal (machine was over £800!). Could not apply for cash back as web pages and links did not work. Contacted customer service over 5 times (by phone and email) with no resolution. By phone I was Redirected elsewhere, or assured it was being looked into, but to no joy. Emails- not even responded to.Ended up making a complaint. At this point I was more angry at the customer service than seeking £85 back. Complaint still not acknowledged or resolved almost 6 mths later.Don’t bother- expensive, non-caring charlatans.
I have a kitchen and utility room fully kitted out with Miele appliances.Bought a new integrated fridge freezer from Miele directly in July and paid an extra 200 to have it fitted. Appalling job, door misaligned and worse yet kitchen door damaged. Complaint raised on the day. Subsequent Repeated calls and emails to Miele including yet another one yesterday and was assured that they would be in touch today but as usual nothing. Looks like I will be seeing you in the small claims court Miele! Customer service abysmal! Door still wonky and no resolution 2 months on ! Not good enough!
Very poor service. Not sure if you match your quality with actions as you were unable to safely fit a washing machine. Water everywhere, poor customer service and nil accountability . No call backs despite promises . This is like a car mechanic not being able to change a car tyre!!!!
