Newton Fallowell, Lincoln is the worst Letting Agent that I have ever encountered. They are the most rude, dismissive, unprofessional and unfriendly company I’ve ever had to deal with. Not only were they useless with their communication but they made me feel like I was lower than the dirt on their shoe.I had the unfortunate situation of renting with them for 4 years, within the 4 years we logged several maintenance issues that needed resolving, the biggest being that our boiler was faulty and did not work properly… in the 4 years of living there and constant chasing, the boiler to this date never got sorted. Another time, our front door handle broke, we called as this is an emergency and security issue to be told that we would have to wait the night… this led to neither me or my partner sleeping just in case someone came into our house whilst we were sleeping. These are only two examples of numerous maintenance issues that occurred that 9/10 times never got inspected, checked or even a reply given to us. On the rare occasion that something did get sorted on the property, there was no communication about workmen turning up.. for a young woman on her own in the house to have several men start climbing up your windows to fix the roof without even being informed about it was massively out of order.One of my first hostile communications with Newton Fallowell was when I innocently asked about the possibility of having a dog, I offered to pay extra deposit and have the carpets professionally cleaned and understood if the answer was no… when I rang I was told ‘I have more important things to deal with than find out if you can have a dog’ which initially upset me and made me never want to ask a question again. I could go on forever with a huge list but the gist is, this company doesn’t even provide the bare minimum care for their tenants, DO NOT go with this company… awful! We had a particularly hard experience dealing with Harriet, just glad to have moved on.
Newton Fallowell Sutton Coldfield Do not use this company as a letting agent, we pay a full service management fee and have to constantly chase them to chase our rent. Consistently not paid with no notification or call beforehand to let us know, actually went months at one point with no payment and they didn’t even realise.When you try to call no one answers the phone, constant promises of Dave calling you back and he never does.Most unprofessional estate agency I have ever come across. Still an ongoing issue but don’t want anyone else to suffer with them. Considering reporting to trading standards as normal complaints and persistence doesn’t seem to work/ be taken seriously.
Wow I would avoid these like the plague. My son and his fiancé brought a chain free home and thought it would be a easy sale but no it’s been over 12 weeks now and the seller has moved to another country. But we have found out that there is someone else living at the property when was told the house was empty .. So what a mess their first home but maybe it’s not going to be. They’ve been calling the estate agents and always say we will get back to you. . Very poor service
Shocking communication and no customer service. Two stars is a generous rating. Had high expectations when Sales guy came round to list property. We were promised so much with regard to communication - and they delivered absolute nothing. They tried to get us to go with the in-house legal team for the conveyancing, but after making 3 calls for a quote and getting no answer we went elsewhere. Thank goodness we did, if their legal is as bad as their office we would have had no chance completing. Promised weekly updates from the office on progress, following acceptance we waited 3 weeks and heard nothing. Following OUR call the agent found out the solicitor for our buyer had left the company and nobody had picked up the work. Date agreed for completion and two days before get a call to say wouldn’t happen as waiting for info on our sale - turned out the information had been sent by ourselves twice and once by our solicitor. Told new date agreed but we were missed from that communication and knew nothing and couldn’t do the date. All in all a complete shambles. Sales guy said for duration of process we would effectively be his boss (his words), heard nothing from him and didn’t return calls/messages. The only calls we got was on day of completion, to offer congratulations - hideous. All they have done for their large fee is to list on Rightmove and do the viewings (5).Avoid Newton Fallowell they are full of empty promises.
THAT AGENCY IS REALLY POOR COSTUMER SERVICES .I M SEND THE DOCUMENTS THAT PEOPLE ASK TO START T VIEWING PROPRETIES AND THAT LASE PEOPLE TAKES SO LONG TO ADAVANCE THE PROCESS . ALL THE LANDLORDS STAY WAY FOR THAT PEOPLE . THEY JUST PLAYING AROUND THE THE PROPRETIES IS NEVER GON GET NEW TENANTS ETC. SO POOR SERVICE JUST UNBELIEVABLE THAT GUYS STILL CAM DEAL WITH LANDLORDS AND SELLING PROPRETIES. SO BAD 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎
We sold our house and purchased our new property, through Newton Fallowell Loughborough and couldn't be more pleased with the service we received. From the initial valuation, to the listing going live, to accepting an offer was only about 5 weeks, which was better than we'd even hoped for! Sue was fantastic. If she said she would do something, or find out something, she would always follow through and get back to us promptly. If it wasnt for this professionalism and her chasing up solicitors to help speed up the responses to enquiries, I think we would still be waiting to move in! All the other staff we dealt with were also very polite and professional and I cannot rate our experience highly enough. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Newton Fallowell Loughborough to anyone selling their property.
Anyone use this agent for lettings, please don't. They have decided to reach to my landlord for a reference before my application was passed. It has now left me in a serious vulnerable position with my landlord. Would a recruitment agent contact a current employer before being accepted for a position - nope! Complete morons
Recently put my house up for sale with the Leicester Forest East branch. Initially service appeared very good, responses were quick and Zak and Thomas that came out were very friendly and appeared to know what they were talking about. The process of putting it up for sale was smooth. However after that there was very little communication. In 10 weeks, I had two viewings. Several viewings were cancelled and no attempt made to rearrange them. I am aware that the market is challenging at the moment but it felt like NF were passive and waiting for people to contact them rather than pushing the house as much as they could. Customer service when calling the office was poor and staff often appeared confused and unable to resolve issues themselves. Often they confused me with other vendors and therefore gave me false information (e.g rang me and told me I had 3 viewings when in fact they were for a different house). There was no check in with me at any point to review the approach or see if I wanted to drop the price. When I asked to end the contract, I was told this would be done after the two week notice period but the listing is still showing on Rightmove and no one has come out to remove the sign, preventing me from listing with a different estate agent.
Very unpleasant experience at Newtonfallowell Lincoln. Unprofessional, rude and incompetent office staff, with no help what so ever in getting my house sale completed. I would never use this estate agent again, as the whole experience was upsetting and stressful!
