An attempt at a balanced review

EDIT: Moving from 3 stars to 1 star because this company is just in total chaos. A month after reporting a faulty item I still have not received a replacement or refund. Within that month, I HAVE received an alert that a new box was ordered (which I absolutely did not order and have an email chain stating I don't want further boxes), and multiple emails saying they are waiting for information from me - which they are not. I have just spent a long time on hold waiting to speak to someone, ending in the automated voice saying no one is available and hanging up on me. I am genuinely concerned that this company has my bank details and have no choice but to raise this with my bank. Avoid at all costs. ORIGINAL REVIEW: So I want to write a balanced review, I actually didn't rate Stitch Fixes selections and I thought Outfittery did a great job. I didn't love every item they chose but I thought they listened to my feedback much more thoroughly. The issue is a skirt I kept - and for a particular event (next week!) - and it fell apart on the first wear. I contacted them repeatedly over email and phone, and have yet to hear back. I received an email back today, which I assumed related to my emails and calls about the skirt, but it was saying their returns have not been processed and I have a balance outstanding. I really want to give you a good review Outfittery, you picked great items, but I still don't have the replacement damaged skirt (it's been a month), and potentially are taking more money off me for a tracked return? At the point of raising this with my bank, which isn't a good look for any company. I hope this review will make a clearly overwhelmed customer service team step in. It's a shame, it's a great idea and service.

AVOID!

AVOID!! I have tried repeatedly to make a payment on their website which comes up with the same error code each time I try. I have emailed them twice to explain the situation and to find an alternative way to pay. I have received no reply from them apart from automated emails telling me a payment is due which has now escalated to them threatening debt collection action! Absolute joke of a company. Please avoid

Terrible service do not use

I tried this company after Stitch Fix sadly folded but this is not a patch on Stitch Fix unfortunately. I tried three orders, all arrived either too late or too early. Clothes were overpriced despite me setting my budget and no consideration given to my style preferences. Worst of all is the customer service - emails go weeks unanswered. And today my husband against my advice received his first order missing two items. Which they’d better not try to charge us for. Really really poor I’ve asked to cancel my account and would not recommend.

Charging for items I didn’t keep

Like others I thought I would try Outfittery after loving Stitchfix. The selection I received in my box was decent (though I felt there were too many items) and I kept 3 pieces. I followed the returns process correctly and in the right time period. I then received an email attempting to charge me for 5 items, so for an extra 2 I hadn’t kept. I messaged Outfittery straight away but only received a generic ‘we’ll get back to you’ response and have tried to call several times, but nothing has been resolved. In the meantime they’ve continued to send me payment reminders and have now sent an email threatening me with dept collection. I’ve contacted them again, but fear they will not respond. I’m appalled at the service and stress they’re causing. I won’t be using them again and urge others to do the same.

No response after charging me for something I didn’t keep

Update: I have received a helpful email from Georgios confirming I don’t need to pay and updating my account. I, like others it seems, received a box that I didn’t order and have been charged for an item within it that I didn’t keep. I was previously a very happy stitchfix customer but never interacted with any email sent from outfittery so was surprised when they sent a box without me ordering it or giving them any of my details. I had a quick look inside the box and noticed one of the items listed wasn’t actually in there, I wrote this on the slip and sent it back straight away. I have since emailed 4 times in response to emails saying I have kept the item to make it clear it never was in the box in the first place. I have just received another email saying it will be escalated to a debt collector!! It says in the email ‘If you have any question or need support settling your balance don't hesitate to contact us at’ which I have done four times with each time being told they are experiencing high levels of queries so will take longer to respond. I have had one email telling me how to cancel an order which is clearly not relevant as the order has already been sent and returned so the options given to cancel it isn't available. I would not trust this company, especially as this doesn’t seem a one off mistake!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE FRAUDSTERS! Exactly the same issue as so many others have reported …Previous customer of Stitch Fix. Suddenly started receiving emails from Outfittery - I ignored them as I never signed up for/opted in to the service. One day a box arrives with £600 worth of clothing. I duly send it back and tell them I’m not purchasing anything and asking them not to send me anything further. A few weeks later I receive an email asking me to pay for a jumper which I had actually returned. I email straight back - explaining they have made an error and that it was returned. Automated reply saying they are busy but will get back to me. Further chasers received - tried calling but the line just rings out. Now an email adding a “collection fee” and threatening debt collection! I will be reporting them to various Ombudman/Data Commisioners etc and raising media awareness to help try to stop them in their fraudulent business model.

Don't go anywhere near this company !

Have never dealt with such an awful company. Like other comments they tried to take an incorrect amount from my account as they hadn't processed my return. It was for nearly £500 but the bank luckily blocked the payment. it took an age for them to respond and in the meantime i went weeks with a restriction on my debit card and then my card being completely blocked and having to wait for a new card. I'm now unable to pay the correct invoice as I can't process they payment as it keeps coming up with an error message, tried another card the same issue. App is hopeless , tried to contact them today, no joy....an ongoing and stressful sagaNow been hit with a threat to go to a debt collector, I will be going to trading standards . I have contacted my bank twice and there is no issue on my end I have also tried my husbands card and it comes up with same error message. I have sent another complaint hopefully won't take as long to deal with this ticket 😕

Has potential but almost no customer service

They have potential but such a frustratingly quiet customer service team - I’ve tried to cancel my subscription several times but to no avail - it is starting to get worrying…Used to love Stitch Fix so was happy to give Outfittery a go… but it’s not right for me - a haphazard selection of clothes and an absent enquiries team which is one of the main things Stitch Fix were so good at.I’m now nervous knowing they can automatically take payment and want to make sure my bank details are fully deleted from their system.I do think they have potential - but proceed with caution… Sorry for the negative feedback Outfittery but not responding to your customers is not the one.

Threats for unordered and non-received goods

So we seem to not be the only people being scammed by this "company".The first we heard about them was a fraudulent charge onto my wife's debit card - this was obviously contested through the bank and a chargeback was granted. Seemingly this doesn't suit Outfittery who have now sent a threatening letter that they will involve a debt collection company for over £500. This is for goods never ordered, and obviously never received, there is even an order number and reference to an Outfittery account (my wife has never had one - now aware this is related to StichFix and the selling of details - unsure how they got full card details though definitely a Data breach there), can't access said account. Tried to ring the "customer service" number on the letter but this rang out with a constant looping message and annoying music for over 20 minutes then they automatically ended the call on me. Has anyone had any experience in communicating with these charlatans? You have stated you reached out via email - I have not received one to the address on Trustpilot - which one have you got, and more to the point how, if it isn't the one used here?

AVOID AT ALL COSTAVOID AT ALL COST. CANCEL ANY CURRENT SUBSCRIPTIONS IMMEDITALEY.Charged for items that weren't even in the box. Sent numerous emails with no response. Called several times and no answer. Having read the other reviews doesn't look like the money will every be returned.
