Bought small car bed for my Maltipoo, Rudy. Product is well made and fits in the front passenger seat perfectly. Rudy took to the bed right away, looked very much at home in it. Besides be super functional, it looks great. My "sidekick" is in his glory.
Takes in an ordinate amount of shipping time. I ordered the Pel barn dog car seat bed for a trip that I was leaving on February 8. The order date was January 29. That day when I got my tracking email and realized that it was not going to make it in time for my departure. I frantically called the company on the same day. I requested to cancel the order. They said they could not it was already processing. I had stopped my mail, asked for that item to be returned by the post office, called the company two or three more times a total of 10 emails went back-and-forth urgently telling them to have the package sent back and not to be delivered. however, the package was delivered after getting an email saying they were sorry it was stuck in transit at a distribution center and would be delayed. Mind you I was already long gone as I left on February 8 at 9 o’clock in the morning. The item came five days later. When I contacted the company for a free return label, they said it would cost me $20-$30 plus a restocking fee to return the item which was almost half the price of what the item cost initially. Their customer service is horrendous. Their shipping time is just as bad. I don’t know about the quality of their product unfortunately it did look quite nice, but I guess since their customer service is so bad I will never find out. I did put a dispute in with my credit card company and we’ll see what happens. All I can say is I would never suggest buying from this company because it’s one thing to get a sale, but most importantly is how the company takes care of their customers after the sale.
My dog, Suzy, received her new bed a couple of weeks ago. I wasnt sure she would take to it. But in less than 30 seconds, she laid on it, sunk into it and now it's her favorite spot. I ordered a medium sized bed even though Suzy is a small dog. She loves the extra space. The quality of this product is excellent. I will be trying other products by Pelsbarn.
I ordered the Original Pelsbarn Calming Bed. When I opened the package, the fur was flying all over the floor, I took it outside to shake it out, came in the house and my dog was eating the fur from the floor and started choking, I was able to remove the fur from her mouth and vacuumed up the fur, but it still was shedding, so I repackaged the product, unused and contacted Pelsbarn for return info bc this product was dangerous for my dog due to shedding. I learned that it would cost me 10-30.00 plus a restocking fee of 7.99 to return the product. I find this unacceptable since it was a danger to my dog and obviously a defect with the continued shedding. I have expressed my disappointment to Pelsbarn and will not be making any future purchases from this company. There are too many other competitors with great return policies. So beware when ordering from this company bc the return policy is cumbersome and costly.
The address on my shipment somehow auto-populated to my old address and the usps just left it in the old mailroom, where it soon disappeared. Pelsbarn sent me another one. They are a small company and not easy to get ahold of, but they are extremely communicative when you do get ahold of them, and extremely nice and helpful.
If I could give a no star rating I would. I would strongly suggest doing your research on this company. Read every part of the website to include the terms of agreement - that alone should tell you there is/are/or will be issues with this company. I ordered products from Pelsbarn and it took almost a month to receive the items. Tracking information is horrible to almost non existent. Had to reach out multiple times to inquire about shipment and delivery. Oh and products are not shipping from US so stick on customs forever over a week. No instructions on how to use certain items either. Products are a bit cheap for what you pay. After reading reviews sending back for refund wasn’t worth time or effort. If getting the product took as long as it did and the effort I had to put in track it down - wasn’t worth trying to return I would recommend getting from Amazon. Poor service and products with little to know customer service. Chalking this loss of $150+ up to lesson learned. Run don’t walk away from this company!!
I bought this for my dogs and due to an ACL surgery with my male dog couldn’t use it for a few months. When I went to use it a clip broke I figured let me see if I explain would they send the part or say I had it over 30 days “sorry”. Nope they sent a few clips right out to me!!! Great product my dogs LOVE the bigger more comfortable back seat & I love the company stands by their products & customers!!!
