above and beond.....united ,american

ok at first .ive flown on pal some 15 yrs oh maybe 10 times...never once have i regreated it...what stands out..they do try to give there best...timley...good food..great seats ..why.airbus..im so tired of the junk seats on united ,american...all boeing...loud..small isle and small seats...but ..what pal just did was above and beond..united did not send my bags forward to the next flight .it was a pal flight..3 days later pal got me my bags when it was not even there falt....5 star pal!!!! thank you

Throwing up experience in PAL flight

I travelled to Manila from Toronto on 28 August 2024 flight number PR 119.I was very unhappy about the inflight service when I became very ill during the flight. When I was informed about the meal, the food choices were beef (which tasted very tough) pork and fish. I decided to choose pork because I am allergic to fish. I became very ill after eating the pork dish, I was severely throwing up after ingesting the PAL food. None from the crew on my flight was assisting me whilst I was throwing up! The plane didn’t even have a sick bag where I could puke!! The call button wasn’t working either!!Only Katherine Lirio who saw me and she raised concern what has happening to me being sick! She assisted me all throughout the flight, she gave me a pill that calmed my system down.Being born a Filipino, I wanted to show my patriotic spirit by flying PAL, I wanted to give PAL the benefit of the doubt that being a flag carrier your service would be impeccable and on par with the other competition. How wrong was I, after I experienced such appalling and pathetic service from your inflight crew!Please consider my review as a positive criticism and make an effort towards improving your inflight service. Since we never received a reply by email, really shameful!!I state that the Tickets were purchased not separately, but with a single ticket that included a stopover with another companyWe hereby wish to claim compensation for the inconvenience suffered due to a delay on our flight from Manila to Riyadh, which caused us to miss our connection with the flight from Riyadh to Rome on 25 August 2023. Our booking details are as follows:Booking reference (PNR) 54NFNKThe delay was caused by a technical fault on board. The cabin crew wrote down our details and said they would contact the company, but upon our arrival in Riyadh, no assistance was provided to us. As a result, we were forced to pay for a new return flight at our own expense, in addition to having to spend the whole night at the airport in unsuitable conditions, since the next available and cheapest flight was the following day.According to EC Regulation 261/2004, passengers are entitled to compensation and assistance in the event of long delays resulting in the missed connection. In addition to the lack of assistance from your staff, we were denied the right to meals during the entire time spent waiting at the airport.Therefore, we request the following:Full refund for the connecting flight from Riyadh to Rome that we were unable to use.Reimbursement of the expenses incurred for the purchase of new return tickets.Financial compensation for the meals denied and the inconvenience suffered, as provided for by EC Regulation 261/2004.We trust that your company will take responsibility for what happened and act in accordance with European regulations on passenger rights. We await your prompt and decisive response.Best regards,Alberto Russo

Very helpful Philippine Airlines ground stuff

Unlike most of the reviews here, I will recommend Philippine Airlines customer service - We forgot a smartphone in the seat pocket in front, and realized it when the plane left the airport back to Manila. The phone had everything for our trip. We called their customer service and explained what happened. They sent someone in Manila waiting for the plane to land, found the phone and sent it back to Cagayan De Oro, and we came to pick it up. Thanks to all the crew in CDO airport and to Philippine Airlines customer service. I don't know many airlines that would be so helpful like this.

Customer service keeps hanging up or leaving on hold with no return

Customer service keeps hanging up on my wife, and they leave me on hold without coming back. I'll have to go through a more formal complaint procedure with the transportation department and other agencies as needed to work out the issue, sadly. It's just not okay to hang up on customers and ignore the issue when they promised my wife a refund and said the process was started in April 2023. It's August 2023 now. Very sad their customer service ignores their customers.

What a terrible organization.. Philippines Airlines

We have been waiting 4 months for our Refund. It has been confirmed by PAL that we will receive the refund. That's the good news!Only, it has now been 4 months of tugging to get the money back. Today I was told, that I could apply via a form and then they will "retake" the application. Unbelievable that companies like this still exist. 90% of trustpilot gives 1 star. @PAL..Don't you guys care about service at all? My question remains open "when will I receive my refund".

Worst trip taken Never fly Philippine Airlines again..!!

Filipino's are renowned for excellence in customer service and person to person customer care..!! Not so with Philippine Airlines..Just back from Philippines we checked in Perth Airport the lady was rude up herself and damn ignorant, kept speaking Tagalog to my wife after asking multiple times to speak in English she reluctantly did so with a dirty look and service went further down hill from there, everything was extra scrutinized..!!..Service on the plane was below par for an International flight, asking for water or a drink was met with scour face..!1 Meals were very very average..Check in from NIIA lady was so so so pleasant to deal with complete difference from Perth...Airline crew again scour faced why be in a job if you dont like it..!! The Inflight entertainment.? Movies old music outdated, maybe Filipinos are ok with sub par services, westerners however want value for their money..!!They call the Airlines Filipino heart of Philippines...for Filipino's....NEWS BREAK: 75% travellers are Westerners...they are paying to keep your planes in the air..!! Wont fly again with them rather my 2 hour stop over in Singapore...at least same price if not cheaper Singapore airlines and 100% better service and smile..!!Just a real crappy flight there and back..!! Lesson learned..!!

PAL is the absolute worse Airline in the world

PAL is the absolute worse Airline in the world. Not very accommodating and will cancelled your flight without further notice and explanation. The flight was supposed to be 6am then we received email confirmation thst it was cancelled and was moved to a later hour. After waiting for a few hours and was ready to board then PAL sent us another email confirmation that it was cancelled again and will wait for another few hours then we asked the staff to transfer us to another airlines due to having appointments but they werent able to help us. One staff told us that there was a problem on the aircraft and we asked another staff what was the problem and the answer is different the other staff said the aircraft hasn’t arrived yet. This it an absolutely lies from the staffs, the delayed tactics of this airline company to rob peoples money and waste their time. Never again and never ever book a flight on PAL. They will never care and will never help you or give you some kind of complimentaries

Worst airline ever

Multiple changes to my flight ended in making the layover 24 hours and refusing to provide accomodations and refusing to provide compensation. When I talked to the chat customer service, one of the agents ended the chat suddenly without my approval or consent and the other refused to help me. Avoid this company and do not book with them at all even if the tickets are for free. They keep on lying and don't provide any assistance.

Online booking makes you buy 20kg luggage allowance when already included in the very expensive ticket. Asked for refund, Zero help. Never again
