Unfortunate experience

Unfortunately, I will not be able to recommend PA to anyone. All the flights are pricy and from my experience get delayed often. We once had to wait more than 15 hours at the Manila Airport because our flight to Tokyo got delayed. And we were not even offered a free snack or drink while we were waiting! I hope the airline that represents my country for the whole world will improve its standards soon.

UNRELIABLE - NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE

in march 2023 i decided to cancel a flight and i started the procedure with whatapp to request a ticket refund. During the conversation I was told that the penalty was 2000 peso per ticket and that they would refund me after 2/3 billing cycles (about 3 months). In June 2023 I asked, given that 3 months had passed, when they would reimburse me, to my great surprise I discover that nothing had been done and a few days after the request I received an email in which I was informed that the penalty was not 2,000 per ticket but equal to 4,000 pesos per ticket. I sent a protest email (attaching a copy of the whatsapp conversation) to the president, commercial director and customer service of the company without any response. Airline to avoid.

Philippine Airlines - Nothing but Scammers!

My recent experience with the airline has been highly disappointing. They repeatedly rescheduled my flight and eventually cancelled it altogether without providing any forewarning. What exacerbated the situation was their refusal to refund the money.Throughout this entire ordeal, their communication was severely lacking, and there was a notable lack of transparency regarding their policies and procedures. It felt as if my concerns were being sidelined and not addressed with the gravity they warranted.In conclusion, my encounter with the airline was less than satisfactory. As a patron, my expectations of being treated with fairness and respect were unmet. This incident has led me to believe that recommending this airline for future travel would be ill-advised.

THEIR PAYMENT SYSTEM IS NOT COMPLETELY…

THEIR PAYMENT SYSTEM IS NOT COMPLETELY ACCURATE AND SEEMS NOT SECURE AS PAYMENTS ONLINE WHERE TRANSACTED FOR TWO DIFFERENT AMOUNTS FOR THE SAME FLIGHTS.IF IT WASNT FOR MY BANK FRAUD DEPT THEY WOULD BE GIVING NO FLIGHTS.I FOUND ON MY LAST FLIGHT BACK FROM MANILA IN OCTOBER, THAT THE PREMIUM SEATS WERE BLOCKED OFF, AT THE EXITS (NO SEATING) THATS A SAFETY ISSUE.

Hi & happy new year (not really)I know this is super inconvenience to start a new year with complaints about your staff and very not satisfied about Philippines Airlines service.Yesterday I have to pay additional charge just to change the day of my flight from Kuala Lumpur to Manilla because of your staff fault.My original flight was at 1150am on 31st December 2022 from Kuala Lumpur to Manilla and connecting flight to Brisbane at night and have to pay MYR855 to change the flight date to 1150am 1st January 2023 from Kuala Lumpur to Manilla and connecting flight on same night.I was late no more than 50 minutes from boarding time so KLIA airport asking me to call your staff at the gate and the airport security herself talk on the phone with your staff and your staff mentioning that they ARE going to send escort to pick me up. For your record, the airport security was already ready to let me through even though there's no escort or whatsoever because there're still plenty of times. However, after 20 minutes waiting, security was concerned why there's no escort picking me up and the airport security call the gate by herself.Surprisingly your staff named HASHIM told us (airport security and me) on the phone saying they can't send any escorts because they don't have any. This is very UNACCEPTABLE and not professional.They could have told me earlier and let me walk by myself because I want to remind you that airport security is allowing me to do so as long as your staff saying ok if they didn't say they "are going" to send escort which never come and not saying anything until I call the gate staffs for 3 times and it's already too late.This is so deceptive and cost me to pay extra cost for the transportation back and forth to airport and hotel for one night. Not to mention I have to waste my precious 1-day holiday at some place doing nothing.By any means, I demand a full compensate for the loss although I know you won't be able to replace my precious time.p/s: I wrote this while waiting for the flight because once again the flight delays without telling any reason to the customer.

This is the last time I'm flying with Philippine airlines service sucks a lot of seats have problem always delayed this time we got canceled for 4 days our departure date is December 24 2022 and latest is December 28 2022 our vacation is on 9days now it cuts 4days they even change our seat that we payed for!

PAL scrooge up our Christmas

Waited 2 extra hours to board our Philippines Airlines flight. "Everything's okay" they said. "Bad weather" they said. Sat on plane over 8 hours. "Thanks for you patience, everyone". Then..."Sorry folks, they are clearing the runways...they are getting the plane ready for extreme weather...etc." Then they said, "So sorry. You fight has been canceled due to mechanical issues, please disembark the plane in an orderly fashion." Chaos ensued. This happened on Christmas eve. We had to spend the holiday in a hotel without our luggage (clothes, toiletries, MEDICATIONS." Worst...travel...experiencence...ever.PS: TSA personnel at JFK were some if the nicest, kindest, rudest, and most condescending people ever, as usual. I know most of them are frustrated corrections officers, but travellers are customers, not inmates. People ARE stupid and they ARE inattentive, but you gotta be professional. I know you get paid quite well. Keep this in mind.

A very sad Christmas story

A very sad Christmas story ! How heartless can you be as an airline. My very ill mother in law, who was in hospital for several weeks in Manila had a last wish. It was to fly to her daughter in Mindanao. After a strong recovery she was found fit to travel by airplane by the hospitals doctors. On Cristmas eve, she and her daughter said said a breathtaking last farewall to the gathered family and friends at the airport. All took the effort and expenses to come to see her. But at the check inn, an employee of Philippine Airlines, who is not a certified doctor, found it neccesary to not allow this old lady to fly. After a long discussion and trying every possible solution, including even signing a waiver to take full responsibility, the hearthless employee stood at her unfounded decision to refuse her. Even worse, the old ladies ticket was refunded, but not the sisters. Since the family is poor, the sister had no other possibility to leave het mother at the airport, and the family had to once again pay a lot to pick her up. Adding is that all the arrangements were done, the house in Mindanao was added a sleeping room, her rented house in Manila was already taken by a new tennant. You can imagine all the problems this unfounded decision had, financially but even more emotionally ... and this on Christmas eve ! Shame on you Philippine Airlines to treat poor people like this ! In Europe this situation could have never happened, we have developed. I sincerely hope Philippine Airlines will follow this up, and learn from their mistakes. A customer service with a decision making responsible person should be installed and appeal should be possible. If no solution is found, a honest and correct financial settlement should be found. I will put this story on as much media and social media as I can find untill the Airline acts. Happy Christmas everybody !

We missed christmas with our family because PAL kept cancelling our flights and we were stuck in Man

We flew out of Sydney on the 21st of December via Manilla to Vancouver. They overbooked our flight and bumped our connecting flight that night to the following day. They lied to us and told us that we didn't have enough time to connect, but the other 10 passengers on our flight did? The flight the following day was cancelled due to bad weather, we were rebooked the following day. Received an email when we were waiting to get picked up to go to the airport that our flight was again bumped, even though Vancouver airport was open and accepting flights. We called to ask what was happening and they kept hanging up on us. The worst customer service and communication ever. They put us up in some cheap hotel with terrible food that was inedible sent to us like we were in quarantine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We didn't fly out until December 24th in the evening and missed our connecting flights in Vancouver and Christmas with our family. Our flights were $1,700 each one way, so they were not cheap. I will never ever fly Philippine airlines again. Don't recommend it.

Fly at your own risk… Seriously terrible service!!

From start to (almost) finish this has by far been the worst airline experience I have ever had. During our first double flight they forgot to transfer our bags during our transit. Result is that we had to wait additional days for our bags to arrive. I guess this can happen to everyone, so far so good.Now during our return flight things are even worse. They just decided one week before our flight to put the aircraft to maintenance and cancel the flight, putting us to different flights with a huge layover on the qurport without any help or compensation.Their customer service is friendly, but totally garbage. Ive requested via phone at first to change to flights. Not possible. Then I had to do the suggetion mysepf to provide hotel accomodation. They were going to process the request and I could hear back in 2 days. Then they just decided to take out the telephone lines as right now theyre unreachable by phone via any of their numbers. Tried to contact them through various different hotels. Not possible.Only live chat is possible. You first have to provide a lot of information, then youre put on hold, they request all information again for "security". They respond and if you dont respond back in 3 mins after their response they just cancel out the conversation and you can start from scratch. Obviously not doable on holiday. Also, of course 7 days after the request, no information at all about the hotel request or any other ways of compensation.Our return flight is tomorrow. I cant contact them by phone. Hotel request is still pending and I dont expect them to handle it before tomorrow. Our flight was a good connection of 6h, now it takes 18h total. I will just go ahead and book my own hotel and sue them afterwards.As long as everything goes fine I bet they are fine. If you run into any issues, prepare for the absolute worst... Will never fly with them ever again.
