I booked my flight months ago using my drivers license with my middle name on it. 3 days before my flight i came back to Flight centre to get my Travel Card with my passport with me. Turned out my passport does not show my middle name as opposed to the ticket, (i booked with my drivers license earlier). They happily charged me a ridiculous fee of 320.00 just like that. Hence I am not changing my flight number, date and time. I still have same phone number, my birthdate still the same, i still live in the same address, meaning i am the same person travelling. All they have to do is issue a new ticket without my middle.name.on it to match my passport. But nooo... they charged me a ridiculous AU 320.00 without any considerations at all. All they have to do is knock my middle name off the ticket to match my passport. But they must make money out of people who work very hard for their money to be able to go and visit family back home with, just 1 second work in a computer with nothing to change but charge me freaking 320.00!!! What the Fu,#!!! PAL???

Constantly altering flights and seating arrangements

They frequently change flights and seat assignments at the last minute, and they excel at charging for seat selections. It's frustrating to pay for a seat only to be moved to a less desirable one, followed by an insincere apology from the airline. Very disappointing experience.

Absolutely Terrible Experience!

I can't express how awful this has been! It’s beyond horrible! To put it bluntly, I would rather endure extreme discomfort than ever deal with this airline again! The customer service is shockingly incompetent; calling them useless would actually be generous! STEER CLEAR OF THIS AIRLINE unless you’re looking for a truly miserable experience! I regret not checking reviews before booking my flight! Let’s just hope the flight goes smoothly and I reach my destination, assuming they don’t mess up my departure, which seems very likely given all the issues I’m facing!

​Conclusion: Never again Philippine Airlines.
​My domestic tour (October/November 2024) was completely ruined by the airline’s systematic flight schedule changes (Flight Disruption), which forced the complete cancellation of the Palawan portion of the trip.
​The airline showed zero goodwill: The local ticket office refused to offset the cost of the three cancelled tickets against the necessary replacement flight, forcing us to pay extra.
​Furthermore, the promised refund for the cancelled flights will allegedly take up to three months, proving that PAL shifts its financial risks entirely onto the customer.
​Adding to the poor experience, the Manila-Bangkok flight (December 4, 2024) was uncomfortably cold (a "flying refrigerator"), leading to subsequent illness. The unreliability and lack of customer focus are unacceptable.

Never Again with This Airline

My domestic tour was completely disrupted by the airline’s constant flight schedule changes, forcing us to cancel part of our trip. The local office showed no willingness to assist, making us pay extra for new tickets after three were cancelled. The refund for the cancelled flights is said to take up to three months, pushing the financial burden onto customers. Additionally, a flight was uncomfortably cold, leading to illness. The lack of reliability and customer care is simply unacceptable.

Last Flight with This Airline

This will be my last experience with this airline. My family member had a connecting flight and expected her luggage upon arrival, but it was missing. The airline informed us that it would be delivered later, but it has yet to arrive. This has caused significant stress, especially given concerns about luggage mishandling at the destination. Arranging additional luggage was also a struggle, and the inability to manage excess baggage with their partner carrier was frustrating. I strongly advise against flying with this airline.

Declining Airline Standards

I had expected this airline to be a top choice, but it seems to be deteriorating. After a smooth start, we faced issues at immigration where e-boarding passes were not accepted, causing panic. The customer service was unhelpful, and we wasted time trying to get assistance. Although we made our flight, it was delayed. My main concern is why we were not given physical boarding passes earlier. Communication and assistance were severely lacking, and the aircraft looked outdated compared to competitors.

Terrible Experience with Lost Luggage

This has been the worst airline experience I've ever had. They lost my luggage and provided no answers when I tried to reach out for support. After weeks of waiting, I still have no resolution. This flight was dreadful, and I would rate them as deserving zero stars.

Empty Promises on Customer Satisfaction

Their supposed commitment to customer satisfaction feels insincere. Last year, they reassigned my paid extra legroom seats without notification. This year, I faced more disappointment when trying to book a new flight. The scripted apologies and refusal to address my concerns left me frustrated. The value gained from my accumulated miles was minimal, highlighting their lack of effort to retain loyal customers. They need to understand that happy customers lead to repeat business.

The Worst Airline Experience

Without a doubt, this is the worst airline to fly with. With limited flight options, they often downgrade flights claiming issues with the aircraft and offer no real compensation. The in-flight experience was disappointing, with poor food quality and cramped seating. I would strongly advise avoiding this airline.
