Antonyo was the technician assigned to replace my windshield. He never showed up. I waited all day and nothing. He texted me at night to let me know he needed a light because it was dark and then never came. Offered a reschedule for the following week. At that point I gave up and cancelled my appointment. I went back to geico and chose another vendor whom scheduled me right away. Safelite in Tampa, FL is a disgraced. They are unprofessional and do not show up. Why would a company like geico uses safelite? It reflect very bad on Geico.
A rock hit my windshield while driving. I made an appointment with Safelite. The technician, Kevin, kept in contact with me throughout the entire process. He came to my place of business and completed the repairs in a timely manner. He let me know when the work was completed. Very professional, prompt, and courteous service. I highly recommend Safelite for your auto glass needs.
Update for Safelite response.. I see an invoice, however, $40 dollars was never sent anywhere. I never recieved the $40 refund, and Afterpay didn’t either I’ve had a terrible experience with safelite. The installer named Keith didn’t take off the recycling add like promised and took off after completing work before I had time to check to make sure it was correct or to check his work. I paid in advance through Afterpay. I have a receipt reflecting my updated total, however, my balance is still the wrong amount and I never received a refund nor has Afterpay on my account. All I get is ru around and it is driving me mad. I reported to the Attorney Generals (Federal & State), Federal Trade Commission, Bbb, and now sending their head quarters a copy through certified snail mail. This is unprofessional and the way I can see they do business. Customer service thinks this is humorous and is giving me the runaround. I sent the proof they needed, including receipt and still have not refunded me or corrected my balance at Afterpay. It’s a safelite fault as well as Afterpays. I’m sick of it. This is the second time using Safelite to replace windshield and I will never go back to safelite for business again.
I have fought this company based in Pensacola FL, to refund me on a rear view mirror that their technician broke. It could not easily be replaced and the only one that would fit had to be ordered by Nissan. It was $130- not aftermarket part. I went 2 weeks without the mirror waiting for the part. I had tried countless times to contact them and they said they would refund it since I had the photos and invoice. Nothing yet. Allstate can’t even get them to refund me. Been since May of 2023. I did worry about the integrity of the windshield sine the tech was obviously incompetent. I did not know that you can use the glass company of your choice and insurance will pay them. Don’t waste time and stress on Safelite.
I called Safelite today to request help with a completed claim. The automated system responded that no one could help me at this time and disconnected the call. No option to leave a message or request a call back. I tried to visit the website to request help, and BitFinder says the site is too risky to open. There is absolutely no way to get to a real person or to request help. We have a problem with a claim that is being disputed by our insurance agency. The dispute is being fought by our insurance broker, but has not been resolved yet. Now Safelite is turning us over to a collection agency for non-payment. I called the Safelite number on the collection agency letter to request that they put it on hold for a couple of weeks, and the first representative said he couldn't help me, refused to let me talk to his boss, then hung up on me. All I'm requesting is that they give us a few more weeks to resolve this with our insurance company (Travelers was our insurer at the time we used Safelite, and they are refusing to pay it - that's another review). Safelite refuses to grant an extension, and they are going to turn us over to a collection agency while I am on an overseas trip. Terrible customer service and care. Will never use them again.
I email Safelite thisFirst of all ll. Let's start with the technician was very nice and polite. But when he was leaving. He actually forgot his tool box. Luckily my wife seen it and caught him in time. But he still left two tools in the car. A mallet and putty knife. The widow was left with streaks in the windshield and you could still see the suction cup marks. Today I went to give it a cleaning. Only to find a streak of adhesive on the outside and streaks on the inside when I wet the windshield. They will not clean out. Also I found a dab of epoxy on the driver side roof of the car. That now has it dis colored. Not to mention the black sealant is not the best job. Seems like our technical was in a big hurry and rushed our job.Here was their response Thank you for bringing this to our attention so that we can reach out to the tech about his tools. We are sorry for the state your vehicle was left in.They were reccomended by my insurance company (Allstate) Safelite never again!!!
I went to the Safelite AutoGlass shop off of 1157 S. Marietta Parkway in Marietta, GA 30060 on Friday, 11/01/24, for a full front windshield replacement and recalibration for my 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe.However, upon end of the service and vehicle pick-up, I noticed that my technician:1) Severely damaged the black rubber weather stripping around the entire front windshield. It looks like my vehicle has been left out in the sun for 20+ years --- it's discolored, cracked, chipped, and large chunks of the strip are missing. ONLY the front looks this way. The rest of the vehicles weather stripping still looks brand new.2) Damaged my vehicles passenger-side plastic body molding around the windshield. The "teeth" or inlets for the molding have been torn off and it can no longer attach back into place. It is current only attached/hanging on at the bottom and is unsafely flailing about in the wind when driving and could potentially damage my brand new windshield.3) Left window replacement debris all over my vehicles dash, control panel, and seats. The technician never vacuumed or simply wiped it off after working.4) Never cleaned the newly installed window. There are finger prints, grease/smudge lines, and dust/dirt all over the windshield.5) Never send me a text message or email to notify that my service had been completed and the vehicle was ready for pick up. After waiting an hour past the quoted service time, I went in-person to see if my vehicle was ready. The receptionist at the front desk simply said "Oh yeah, it's been sitting there awhile."I've reported this to Safelite and Safelite has refused to repair or replace my damaged weather stripping and plastic body molding that THEY caused. Nor were they willing to partially refund me any of the cost of the service for damages. I will never again use Safelite and I will be letting all of my family, friends, and colleagues know that they should avoid Safelite.
Customer Service sucks at their Lancaster, CA location and their 800 number! I would have given ZERO stars if I could. Now I see why they have 1.5 star rating! I showed up at the Lancaster office with what I thought was an appt for the small ding in my windshield but was told my info was not in their system and I would have to come back another time since they were closing. It was 3:40 and they didn't close until 5pm!!! And there were no other customers around! I then called the 800 number to complain at 3:55 and waited on hold until my call was disconnected at 4pm, why because their call center closed at 4pm! I had immediately called back and was told they were closed. So frustrating!
I TOOK MY CAR IN TO HAVE A NEW WINDSHIELD PUT IN ON 10/30/24. ON 11/2/24, WINSHIELD CRACK ON THE DRIVERS LOWER SIDE ABOUT 4 INCHES. HAD TO TAKE IT BACK IN ON 11/6/24 TO GET ANOTHER WINDSHIELD PUT IN. I WENT TO PICK IT UP,EVEN THOUGH THEY DIDN'T EVEN CALL ME TO TELL ME IT WAS READY, I GOT INTO THE CAR TO LEAVE AND WHOA! THERE'S A 6 INCH CRACK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD! I DIDN'T EVEN DRIVE IT OUT OF THEIR LOT! WAS TOLD THEY HAD TO ORDER ANOTHER ONE WITH A BETTER GRADE OF GLASS. DROPPED THE CAR OFF AGAIN ON 11/09/24, PUT THE NEW WINDSHIELD IN, SO FAR, AFTER 3 ATTEMPTS SO GOOD TILL 11/12/24! THEY DIDN'T PROPERLY SNAP THE MOLDING THAT GOES AROUND THE WINDSHIELD NEAR THE FRONT DOORS OF THE CAR! BOTH SIDES WERE STICKING UP OFF THE CAR! IF I HAD RAN THE CAR THROUGH THE CAR WASH, THEY WOULD'VE BEEN TOTALLY RIPPED OFF THE VEHICLE! THEY SAID THE CLIPS WERE BAD AND HAD TO REPLACE THE CLIPS ON THE MOLDING! THINK TWICE BEFORE TAKING IT TO THEM, THEY MAY HAVE FIXED ITEMS TO BE ADDRESSED, BUT, ITS A HORRIBLE INCONVIENCE! 4 TIMES IS ENOUGH!
