Dreadful customer service

Dreadful customer service - the dealership says my problem needs to be sorted by Skoda UK ..... when I take the problem to Skoda UK, they say it is a dealership issue. After lots of time wasting (badly administered on Skoda's part) emails and circular phone calls I have given up - they just don't care. After 2 Skoda cars, I'm never buying Skoda again.

Skoda UK customer care and finance

Skoda UK customer care and finance, i have to say very poor from my on going experience. I bought a brand new Kamiq three months ago, unfortunalty theres a rattle in the dash which is very annoying to say the least, my dealer has tried and failed to sort the issue. I have, which is my right under the consumer act 2015 rejected the vehicle, i have given the dealer fair opportunity to fix the issue but as i say they failed, the rattle is that bad my wife has even managed to record it on her phone as evidence. The vehicle has been returned to the dealer so i dont have a car. Skoda just seem to be stalling and making the situation worse, long winded and stressful, i just want my money back, is it that hard. I ve not named the dealer as the issue seems to be skoda, if it proves different at a later late i ll update this review or do a review on the dealer. I would like to add this is my skoda number 7 all new, first one with a issue. Is it too much to ask to have a new car rattle free and be able to enjoy my new car experience !! Not the nightmare im going through.

Warning be very careful of this…

Warning be very careful of this…Warning be very careful of this dealership as I was Cond into a insurance policy which didn't exist, yes I got ripped off from one of the employees here, as a disabled person I went here for a car to get me around, it was during covid and my first time getting a new car on pip, but that didn't stop one of the employees ripping me off for £200, he asked me to pay a miss Williams witch I did think was strange, but I wasn't expecting my local skoda dealer to rip me off, just be careful if you do end up here with a pip entitled car. You do Not have to pay any insurance extra. Skoda lightcliff Warrington.

Disappointing Experience with Skoda UK's 'Approved' Used Cars

I recently purchased a low-mileage, Skoda Approved used car, expecting peace of mind from their touted 140-point check. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from reassuring.Upon taking ownership, I discovered two pre-existing faults logged in the car's computer modules—actual issues, not mere glitches. It's clear that these were either overlooked or ignored during the supposed thorough inspection, and such oversights shouldn't occur if the approved car checks are conducted properly. This points to either incompetence, negligence, or perhaps a reluctance to invest in necessary repairs.Furthermore, the Skoda Approved warranty is not equivalent to a new car warranty. Many electrical and mechanical components are not covered, beyond the usual wear items like brakes and tires. This can leave you facing significant out-of-pocket expenses if something goes wrong with parts you would expect to be covered. My strong recommendation is to exercise caution when dealing with Skoda UK's 'Approved' used cars—or any similar dealership scheme. Do not place undue trust in the "Approved" label. Instead, have the car independently inspected, including a comprehensive scan of all systems for faults, before making a purchase. Ensure that any issues are documented and that the dealer commits in writing to rectify them.

My last Škoda…

I brought an 18 plate Škoda Kodiaq with two years warranty from Thomson and Potter in Perth. It’s my 3rd Škoda. The timing belt failed on the last day of warranty and even though I notified Škoda of the breakdown Thomson and Potter washed their hands of me. It’s a serviceable part, within recommended mileage and age and within warranty. But its now 8 weeks later and I am still without car and waiting for someone to take responsibility while Škoda Uk look into it. My lease is due to expire next year - can’t imagine ever going back to T&P or getting another Škoda based on how they treated me. Such very poor customer care it’s shocking.

Great car, dreadful customer service…

Skoda is very much like the Octopus Energy of the car world; fantastic product, dreadful customer service. I took delivery of a new Enyaq (which by the way is a fantastic car) however from new I had problems charging the car from my own wall charger. It would charge for about 5 minutes then stop charging - not great when a full charge takes about 10 hours!Skoda support were, I have to say, worse than useless; every request would take about 2 days to receive a response (not great when you have an electric car that won’t charge!) and the advice was, frankly, ridiculous; at one point I was asked to sit in the car (all night I presume?) so that I could let them know the *exact* time that the charging cut out. After many, many sleepless nights, I managed to self diagnose the problem (ironically before Skoda themselves were able to diagnose the problem) the sad thing being that I would have actually got to this point earlier without Skoda’s interference.

Disappointing

DisappointingDisappointing. Bought a 3yr old skoda kamiq to replace a old car to ensure reliablity and safety. 1 yr later the right headline goes and cost £850 to replace. This car only has 22000 miles on the clock and have been told by the garage it should not have happened on such a new car with low mileage. We have always bought skodas but this will be the last as have been told by customers services there is nothing they can do help cover some of the expense.

Bought a used approved Skoda car from…

Bought a used approved Skoda car from SKODA STOURBRIDGE approximately 15 months ago. I wrongly assumed they would make sure the car had all correct tools etc. I just went to change tires for the first time. Never been in the spare wheel area until now and there were Skoda wheels with locking nuts and no tool. I searched the car and nothing. No one has been in this area since I bought it. I complained and they claimed it was ticked off their check list. BUT they admitted fitting new tires so they used the tool themselves. I had to pay £47 for a whole new set of locking nuts. Manager said if I’d been back after a month he would have supplied free!! Are Skoda sending cars out without checking all tools on board and expecting customers to check tools etc because they can’t rely on their own quality control. I would think you should be able to trust a main dealer of a car that was originally bought from them by previous owner. NEVER going to STOURBRIDGE SKODA again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Service Plan

This review follows on from my previous post about Wakefield Skoda.I pursued the promised service plan which hadn’t materialised and eventually after six weeks Martin Bergman of Skoda Uk was able to reinstate the service plan.It was apparently down to the finance department and Martin was prepared to stick at it until they reinstated the service plan.Big thanks to Cristiana for her amazing memory and for speaking up for me. Much appreciated.
