I initially dealt with Zubair Ali. He was informative, helpful and very accommodating. He was polite and listened to all my requests. The handover was with Kyle Holdsworth. He was efficient, explained everything clearly, and made the handover a pleasurable experience. I would recommend this garage at Stourton to anyone.
Škoda Monte Carlo and in fact most of the makes of Škoda we used caused us the worst problems in all the cars we have used, the handle of the gear breaking after (as we were told a loose screw inside), the visors just dropping twice in less than one month while driving for no reason but again we’re told that a great force has been applied (two drivers over 65 using the car) obviously although the same fault happening within three months we were told that we needed to pay again! There is definitely a major fault in the mechanism of the whole vehicle! Save your money and go somewhere else! We know that car sales people are trained to make you buy extras/warranties …. but Škoda goes miles ahead to persuade you to buy them come with loopholes to avoid free maintenance, so not sell your car or part exchange ever at Škoda dealers, you get at least 15-20% more at other places!
Parks dealership at Dumfries has had my Dad's car for over a month. Was sent there in June as it had an issue and was due for a service on July 4th. He's still not got it back. He's had Skoda's for over 20 years and now he's being treated like this. Not to mention the poor valuation on his 6 year old Octavia VRS that has only done 12k miles compared to a standard one year old Fabia that has done 3 times that.
I bought a car from Skoda Kings heath Birmingham 14. I have had a tyre with a split in it, 3 different tyres which is illegal, as the axels should have the same tyres. I was only given one key and promised another but had to go to see the garage 3 times before they have done anything. The exhaust was blowing but the manager said it was ok because it would pass an MOT. The manager made me feel intimidated, staring at me. He has no customer skills, being as unhelpful as possible. You turned down the warranty claim without an explanation as to why it did not comply with your terms and conditions. I raised a complaint, and you promised me that someone would be in touch to explain the situation. Four months passed. The corrosion got measurably worse. You closed the complaint without a resolution, and told me to deal with the Ombudsman. So basically, I feel like Skoda UK have provided terrible customer service. I feel like they stalled the complaints process for 120 days intentionally. They produced no resolution to what was at the beginning a minor defect. And now there is a bigger financial burden to bear to repair the corrosion that has continued to grow throughout these 4 months of ignorance. To anyone lookong to buy a used Citigo, make sure the rear wheel areches are fitted with plastic liners to deter mud and muck from sticking onto the inside quarter panel where the petrol filler cap is.The car body is corroding around the petrol filler cap in what is known as 'inside out' corrosion, because there is a defect in the joint.Beware and don't expect Skoda to honor their warranty. As an aside, Rainworth Skoda gave it a glance over and said they were helpless and didn't know what I should do - without explanation as to why they weren't able to help, of course. Just a 'good luck with that, not my job mate' attitude.
Skoda Karoq 2017 Gearbox/Clutch is broken basically. I have a Skoda Warranty which specifically covers this and.... they won't pay out because it's a 'clutch bearing' and not the clutch itself... are you kidding me..?STAY AWAY FROM SKODA.
Lewis Peacock at skoda Warrington has been excellent from beginning to end. He has explained how motability works, kept in touch whilst waiting for it to arrive. He answered any concerns we had, and has been patient throughout. Thank you Lewis, we are loving our new electric Enyaq.
Three years ago our Skoda Fabia clutch went. It was a 2018 registration still under warranty. I didn't want to lose the warranty and got the car to a Skoda garage. I was charged £1,000 - three years ago - to change my clutch which should not have worn down. I was told what a bad driver I was too. Today, July 2024 I collected my car from an independent garage in London. My clutch, the new one from Skoda put in August 2021 had failed after MOT and servicing. After 3 years?!!! Today, July 2024, I went to collect my Skoda after a second new clutch was put in. The independent garagist kept the August 2021 clutch to show me what went wrong from the wear and tear - but not ordinary wear and tear - but from shoddy workmanship, the previous garage work! He explained it was NOT my driving. The previous job was bad, too tight. Far too tight. I had been overcharged at £1,000 for a replacement clutch on a small car. I am writing this to flag it down: even when a car was under warranty, Skoda had faulted me three years ago, gave me a bashful and an earful (bullying tactics?) (August 2021). I was charged me £1,000 to change my Skoda Fabia clutch from a car bought from a Skoda dealer and serviced by Skoda, I did everything by the rules book. Today 4 July 2024, I was shown the evidence by an independent garagiste, that Skoda had fixed my clutch too tight forcing premature wear and tear and the second replacement of my clutch. I am still frightened of victimisation and won't tick the box to tell Skoda. Perhaps consider a second opinion from an independent garagist and don't trust Skoda, because it is Skoda?
