Letchworth TOYOTA full of frauds

Would rate a zero as just crooks posing as Salesmen. Toyota Letchworth are no better than a dodgy back street car garage. Firstly they dupe you with a selection of vehicles on their website that are supposedly available no images but competitively priced. On arrival the BS vehicles you are told have already been sold ??? No test drives no images I smell BULL instead you then get offered something old that they are not sure what the price is no sure what the history is but does have a nice big chip in the windscreen, when you do push for prices after being waffled to all their computers are having issues ??? Strange every member of staff has their heads down working. Avoid like the plague ALSO NOT THE FIRST REVIEW LIKE THIS ABOUT THE LETCHWORTH BRANCH

I have been to Fort Birmingham branch…

I have been to Fort Birmingham branch twice this week, I was shocked to see how un professional parts department people are and they always trying to sell which you don't even need.It's not the same anymore I would rather order stuff online from independent toyota sellers not these money sucking dealers.Not recommended at all, why pay extra when they treat you like nobody.Not recommended at all.

I bought my car in for a service today

I bought my car in for a service today. Very happy with the availability as I only booked it yesterday morning and the lady who booked it in was great. The guy dealing with me on the other hand was not. His name was Matt. He sent me an email about an hour after dropping off the car claiming he had tried to call me several times. This is just untrue. My phone was in my hand all afternoon and it didn't ring and no voicemail had been left. He had clarified the number with me beforehand so I know he had the right number. When I called back he tried to tell me I needed 2 new front tyres. The tread depth being 'low' at 3.6mm & 3.8mm. New tyres would be £240. Well as the legal minimum is 1.6mm I declined this. He then tried to sell me an aircon regas etc for £225, which was discounted as I pay for a service plan. I declined this also.Eventually at 17.30 I called them as I hadn't heard anything and was told the car was ready. There had been no contact to this effect. I collected the car and was met by two further salesmen, not Matt, both of which were quite disinterested. The car had been rinsed off but not much of a wash and valet etc. But as it was supposed to be a free service I wasn't too bothered about it.I checked the service report which had been printed at 1600. So over an hour and a half before I called to chase. There was no contact made by Steven Eagell to tell me car was ready. I will not be using them again for the service of my Toyota, I will go to an alternative Toyota dealership. It is a shame as the car itself I love.

Toyota CHR Battery failure

I purchased a new CHR from Toyota Willesborough Ashford in May 2021. It broke down in Rye on 14/2/2024. The AA technician said that the battery was flat with a suspected charging system fault, and to take it to Toyota for warranty work. I took it to Toyota on 15th next day, they told me it required a new battery but it was not covered by the warranty. If I didn't have a new battery it would most likely break down again. I have been told that the CHR has this problem with batteries and Toyota know about it. if that is the case then why isn't it covered I ask. The car is supposed to have a 5 year warranty. I just wonder what else isn't covered by the so called 5 year warranty. It seems to me that the warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on.

Poor customer service

Sadly the customer service is not what it was. When I arrived I had to search out somebody in their office to book my vehicle in despite the date and time previously being confirmed. Whilst there I wanted to view one of the new cars - eventually I was offered the help of a salesperson but whilst willing he only had scanty knowledge of the vehicles. I waited all afternoon for my vehicle to be fixed, which was twice as long as I was originally led to expect, I received no explanation or progress update. There were lots of staff members in their offices just none who were interested in the customers!

I brought my car in today for an MOT and the service I received was absolutely disgusting, the staff are unfriendly, very unprofessional and impolite. I will not be using this dealership again, I would encourage you to go elsewhere, Jack my service engineer looked as though he couldn’t be bothered to check my car in, what an absolute joke. The service Mr Steven Eagle provides us disgusting, Toyota has had a brand name to live up to now Mr Steven Eagle has brought this reputation down to the dogs and now Steven Eagle Toyota is no different to cow boy garages. I am ashamed of Toyota and I am ashamed of Steven Eagle, if I could give zero stars I would. This dealership do not treat customers fairly and are disgusting human beings.

RAYLEIGH branch : Very poor - again ! Appalling lack of communication. Lexus Car not returned until 7pm at night - no warning, no explanation, no apology. Several hours late ! Car not cleaned. No service information documentation provided,Tried to get me to buy new tyres unnecessarily as rated URGENT - then agreed it wasnt !! Not sure if oil changed as planned or not No response to TWO emailed complaints or several phone calls - AVOID

i brought a used toyota chr from steven eagell romford the car had a pre check before i put my £4000 deposit down came back before i brought with two front tryes badly worn n/s front tyre was illegal and still had two back doors inner panal scratch front o/s inner splash gard damaged told it would be mot and two tyres fitted came back a week later to look at the car with my nephew is for ten years a car salesman at main ford dealers done the jobes apart from the two new tyres fitted wanted the car in two days time to have the tyres fitted done hp took the car home checked around the car noticed the illegal tyre was still on the car and the two number plate lights was not working THE HAD JUST BEEN MOT SHOULD HAVE NEVER PASSED MOT did not even hve a advisory on the car took the car back to toyota romford they could not get the car back into wook shop quickly enough two weeks later the inverter packed up they fitted a new one at a cost of £1300 just for the part under warranty six weeks later the front radar sensor in the front of car packed up took car back to toyota romford they done diagnostic test and confirmed the sensor was gone and expect me to pay £1475 for the job when i have never had a accident in the car only had the car three months and done 500 miles asls there is not a mark on the front of the car at all it is still in toyota at the moment with me about to take legal action

Thumbs up Toyota

I went to Toyota on Sunday to look at upgrades for my car. I was served by Lauren and she was absolutely fantastic. Very professional, knowledgeable and not trying hard to sell me something. She understood what I was looking for and came up with great options. Loved the test drive of the Hybrid CH-R. I've been going to Toyota for years and would always ask for Lauren in the future, she is a star! On the down side, parking is an issue with all the refurbishment but I'm sure the place will be nice when finished.
