DISAPPOINTING AND DISHONEST SERVICE

I am writing this compliant again as I am yet to receive any correspondence regarding my initial one sent in November/December.I purchased a non-Toyota vehicle from the Aylesbury branch. It took over a month for handover to take place because I was told parts had to be ordered for service and some work.My car fuel was supposed to be filled but come handover, this was not done. I took possession of the car and 1 of the keys was not working, possibly due to a dead battery. I was told there were no spare batteries in the dealership.Come December/January, I am leaving home and the car comes to a complete stop. I call RAC and they do a diagnostic and ask me to take the car to the dealership ASAP. I drive all the way from my home to the garage (miles adding up) and present the report from RAC to them. I had to leave the car there for weeks and I was given an AYGO as a courtesy car!I pick the car and again the fuel is not topped up as they promised. About less than a month later, I visit Mercedes to register the services and get a service plan. I ask for a copy of the service done prior to me receiving the car and after back and forth between sales and service department, I find out the car was never serviced. The ruse regarding parts being bought and fitted during November is clearly a lie. I have to drive to another dealer to get the service done. An engine management light comes on with 2/3 weeks. I contact Aylesbury and their response is they do not have anyway to diagnose the issue as it is not a Toyota car so there is nothing they can do. I call RAC who hold the warranty and they arrange for a garage to do the work.After this, the engine management light has come on twice and I have had a breakdown needing RAC twice. I emailed the service manager and got no response. I drove to the dealership and I am sat in the office with everyone ignoring for 30 minutes. The only attentive person is the receptionist. I would like to return the car and be done with Toyota for good. This is the 3rd Steven Eagell dealership I have dealt with and it is always the same; dishonest, money-hungry and avoidant.

Steven Eagell, absolutey dreadful

Steven Eagell, Toyota Tamworth. Car went in for a service and they damaged an alloy wheel, left the auto parking brake not set in auto and left the air intake box not connected. Not only was this a very poor service but when they arranged for the repair of my alloy wheel which relied on me constantly chasing them for, I got a rude and blunt response saying the repair company will deal with you now, I’m not following it any further. I’ve complained to Steven Eagell head office via all the heads of the business, nobody responds, nobody cares, also sent the complaint to Toyota UK, they don’t respond, they don’t care. Next step is to complain with detail directly to Toyota Japan. This is how Steven Eagell Tamworth treat a customer who bought two new cars from them in less than one year. I’ve owned more than 25 Toyotas but I have bought my final car from them now. You don’t deserve my money.

Steven Eagell Toyota Horsham have been great. Lisa Brown went above and beyond to ensure everything asked was done on a used car purchase. The front house service team were again brilliant, helpful, and genuinely wanted to help in resolving any queries or issues. Busy dealership and rightfully so as seems to be a great team of people. Just kept getting fobbed off! Updated

I bought a car from your Crawley branch in February this year, next day I contacted you about noisy pitted rear brakes, not rusty but actually pitted over a 3rd of the surface. Was told it would go away, a month later it hadn’t, your service dept checked the brakes, again said it would go away, it didn’t! It went into another of your branches for an alignment and they noted on the free health report the heavily pitted rear discs.As any contact with you directly didn’t work i contacted Toyota HQ and I then got a phone call from Austen saying get back to you after my car came in for service & MOT the following week. Car went in, free health report mentioned pitted rear brakes & that they were 70% worn & included a picture of rear of the disc that showed it was pitted over entire surface. I called Austen & was told he wasn’t available and to email health report to Filipe who would forward onto Austen, this I did. 2 weeks later I’ve heard nothing despite sending emails chasing a call back.UPDATE #1, as requested I have emailed my complaint along with correspondence.UPDATE #2, car booked in for discs & pads with dealer contributing 50%UPDATE #3, took car for work to be done & the brake discs were not there! Was booked in over a week ago. Waiting for another date.UPDATE #4, no contact, had to chase. Now waiting for another call. UPDATE #5, finally pads & discs replaced with dealer contributing 50%. This was so much hassle and shouldn’t have been. Should have been addressed when first raised day after vehicle purchase.

Rayleigh Weir branch absolutely disgraceful.

I talked my 73 year mother into purchasing a one year old Aygo to replace her Fiat 500,worst decision ever. Plenty of issues but the major one at the moment are scratches on the car that were obviously polished over for the sale but have reappeared since the car has been cleaned. Have been waiting over a year for this to be resolved, numerous phone calls not replied to,went to the showroom and promised it would be sorted and still nothing.They promised the earth when my my mother was buying but this experience has caused her nothing but stress.AVOID AT ALL COSTS THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO SCRUPLES.

I bought a car in Wolverhampton

I bought a car in Wolverhampton, but it has safety issues. Your service manager was supposed to follow up with me, but I've contacted them multiple times and still haven't received a response. It's not professional, and they've been ignoring customer requests. It's been three months already.

Great car but poor service from the garage

Steven Eagell Peterborough Toyota Yaris cross good car bad service from the garage 10 th September went to try out the car decided on the Yaris at the time the salesman Known as A J , was talking us out of the grey colour model , it was priced up at £27500 ?? I queried that as the price new £26500 he said they could sell a second hand at any price, he then went off to the office and came back told me it was my lucky day as they had got the wrong price it was £25500 !!! Then he had given us the wrong mileage as he told us 300 and it’s was 3000 an easy mistake !! I told him he was having a bad day ?? Any way he then offered us free rear sensors and a tank of petrol and a super guard on our paintwork( Good news ) we decided to go ahead with the purchase and taxed the vehicle and told we could collect the car next Friday 15 th .Friday came and I collected the car a bit worried that the car was a little dirty ? But AJ promised me all the work had been done ? Got home and found the car had not been valeted as promised and concerned that the superguard as promised was not applied .I went back on the Monday 18 th September and the salesman , Harry had a look and confirmed the car was not completed so he apologised and back into the workshop cleaned and superguard applied ( not received any pack ) After a phone call from my son they offered a free service and a apology from AJ !! After 6 + weeks I haven’t received my v 5 as I have purchased a personal plate I needed the v5 , contacted the dvla and they confirmed that they hadn’t received the paperwork from the garage , they told me to make contact with the garage as I did, Friday 27 th October spoke to Kasim the deputy manager !! And he said he would get back to me today , he did contact me SATURDAY 28 th October and confirmed they hadn’t sent off the old v5 and as I had paid for the road fund tax payment went to the old owner as I am not the registration new owner !! He promised he would pay the new tax and sending the paperwork on Monday !!As the car isn’t registered in our name the tax is not valid and my insurance may not be valid ??don’t know what to do Very bad service from the garage Rang Monday 30 th October told a senior manager will call me back after their meeting 9.30It’s 12.13 no call back, rang head office ,they will contact Peterborough garage , I have told them that as the car is nt registered in our name then the tax is not valid ??means insurance maybe not valid ?? Feeling bad that I shouldn’t be driving this car ??I am so angry and would not recommend this garage again , the Toyota car is excellent but the sales staff are totally useless , well the ones I have named . Monday 30 th evening 6 pm I received a call from the manager Dushi !! He then told me the paperwork had still not been done but will do it online now , he did and then I asked why this could have be done over 6 weeks ago , he couldn’t find a answer to that . He then sent me a email to confirm the change of ownership was done and then he told me that the deputy manger Kasim would call me Tuesday and then he would call me Wednesday to see my feelings on the service I have received, I did received the call from Kasim he called me Tuesday , but . Guess what ?? the manager Dushi didn’t ring me back as promised on Wednesday so anyone thinking of paying a visit to the Peterborough branch save yourself some time and look at someone else By the way I spoke to the dvla and they have told me that they can sort out the V 5 ( logbook )as the date for ownership should be 15th September the date I collected the car and not October 30 th and I need to return the logbook so they can change the date of ownership so the tax would be legal .Thankyou to them being so helpful By the way the Toyota Yaris Cross is a lovely car and so comfortable
