Support is second to none I 100% recommend

Having previously tried every weight loss plan going with varying success only to regain weight after, I had resigned myself that this was how I was meant to be.Then along came Alex and his team to show me that with their help and guidance I could turn not just my weight but my life around I seriously can’t praise the help I have received so far not only from Alex and my coach Fra but there’s a whole team of experts on hand too. Support is second to none and much more than I expected. I am losing weight and becoming more active than I thought possible at my age. If you need to lose weight and become a more active and healthier version of you my advice is don’t hesitate just do it, you won’t regret it.

The Sports Dietitian’s Sustainable Change Programme has changed my life

Before I started The Sustainable Change Programme I had given up, I had been on loads of diets, lost weight, gained more weight than I had lost and then started the whole cycle again. I thought I was destined to rely increasingly on medication to keep me going. I am a type 1 diabetic and my insulin doses were increasing and I was becoming more resistant to medication. When I signed up to the Sustainable Change Programme , Peter Edwards was assigned to me as my coach, he has been such a great support to me. I had to complete an audit of foods I liked and didn’t like, exercise I did, injuries etc. Peter designed a diet plan around the information I had given him and an exercise programme to help me improve my fitness and mobility.Since working with Pete I have improved my fitness. I can walk further and walk up hills without getting out of breath, I can lift weights and have increased my weights consistently. I am now starting to learn how to lift barbells.I have learned about the triggers that cause me to comfort eat, the impact my past has had on my weight and lifestyle habits and have been given useful tools on how to manage my moods and anxiety.Peter has been an amazing asset, I couldn’t have achieved so much without his support, he is kind and understanding and offers practical advice when I need it. I have lost 15kg in weight and dropped 4 dress sizes. I have improved my blood glucose and reduced my insulin, I am no longer insulin resistant. The most important thing is The Sports Dietician’s Sustainable Change Programme has helped me see that putting myself first not only improves my own physical and mental health but also means I am fitter and therefore more capable of helping others. If you are not sure whether you should join then think what you can gain from taking the first step to not just losing weight but also improving your whole life in a holistic way. As Alex Neilan says, you only fail if you don’t try. This is the most sustainable lifestyle change you will ever find, because there is help available every step of the way.

I FEEL LIKE A REALLY GOOD VERSION OF MYSELF AGAIN

At 56, I was at a place in my life where I was absolutely dreading meeting people who I hadn’t seen in a while, abhorred it when people got out a camera to take pics – and honestly felt like bursting into tears when people would say ‘Ach but sure you look lovely – go on - get in the picture’ x 10. I was plastering a big fake smile on my face when inside I just felt absolutely loathesome. I hated how I looked because I felt I couldn’t hide my lack of willpower around food and was so desperately ashamed of what I had let myself become. I was even considering going on weight loss injections as I really felt I just couldn’t lose the weight naturally. I was very concerned about my health and knew I needed to do something!I had seen Alex from the Sustainable Weight Loss Programme popping up on my Facebook so I listened to him a number of times – and what he said made so much sense! I could also tell that he LOVES what he does and is so enthusiastic helping people and seeing them succeed. …..and he seemed to understand me and the issues that I had.So I took the plunge and jumped in. In five months I have lost just shy of 20kg /3 stone – an am down to a size 14. My skin is better, I have to wash my hair less often, my confidence has skyrocketed, I RAN over 3 km last week without stopping, I am doing weights - my body feels so much better, with far fewer aches and pains and so much stronger and much more muscular – I have become a devotee of Vinted as my old wardrobe simply no longer fits! Back in February -I was stiff getting in and out of the car and was avoiding walking too far – now I am walking about 6km per day and enjoying it! My blood pressure is lower side of normal, my resting heart rate has reduced, my BMI is reducing and I just feel alive again! One thing Alex said that really spoke to me was ‘the choices you make in the next 2 years will affect your life for the next 20 years’ – he is not wrong.I have been assigned a coach – the lovely Kathryn – she is at hand for any queries/issues/support – and she has been beside me every step of the way on my journey of Sustainable Health and Weight Loss!

The comprehensive solution to my…

The comprehensive solution to my menopausal weight dilemma.I happened upon Alex's Metabolic Mastery Course on a Facebook ad. I was intrigued with what he - and past clients - had to say about his holistic approach to stubborn weight loss.Over the last 30 years, I have steadily put on about 5 stone. And now post menopausal, I am at the end of my tether.Alex engaged me in a very thorough text based conversation where he was able to get a good idea of my current status and my thoughts about weight loss. As well as what I had done previously and what the results had been.I was delighted when I was given an opportunity to take the course free of charge. And I was (and still am) completely flabbergasted with the quantity and quality of the course contents. The Metabolism Mastery Course consists of 18 videos (plus an additional 5) and 7 PDFs. Each video is completely comprehensive and detailed. For example, I started to watch the video entitled Ultimate Fat Loss Cheat Sheet & Habit Tracker. However, after the 1st 5 minutes, I recognised that I really didn't want to miss anything, so I put on my ear buds and went for a 1-mile walk, taking Alex with me! The information contained in this one video alone was transformational. I realise that each section of the course should be taken as a separate module. For example, as well as a video called Fat Loss Meal Plan, there is also a PDF of a 5 Day Fat Loss Plan.In fact, there are 30 separate well-curated course items. These include videos from a Mindset Coach, videos from a doctor and other dieticians and nutritionists.I have only just started this course, but of a veteran of many other "solutions", I honestly believe that this is the one that will make all the difference.I have diligently put time in my diary to watch or read each of the items in the course. A notebook and pen are also recommended. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in! PS - did I tell you that there is a PDF called 100 Metabolism Boosting Recipes? I will be dipping into that for my meal plans from next week onwards!I recommend this course.

Give this a go!

Always interested in health, nutrition and fitness, I stumbled across Alex on a facebook ad and immediately resonated with his abundant energy. His public info including fab success videos are amazing. He very kindly gave me free access to his course with trainings from how to deal with procrastination to negotiating meals out. Although I have some different views on some things, eg the benefits of timed eating, his and his highly qualified team's methods clearly work. Alex is 'real' and super passionate about helping regular people like you and me. I would recommend. Give this a go!

Lost weight, changed my lifestyle and found a new zest for life.

I stumbled across Alex Neilan and Sustainable Change by chance four months ago. It popped up on You Tube at a time when I was feeling unhappy with myself and how I looked. I was growing out of my size 12 clothes, I felt frumpy and uncomfortable and was spending more time than I care to admit sitting on the sofa watching TV. I had no incentive to do anything. Alex's message was different and interesting. He seemed genuine and the idea that at my age ( early 70's) I could lose weight and 'sustain' that loss was intriguing. He talked of "investing in your health" and "putting yourself first" stating that it is not selfish. Initially there is a lot to get your head around and it was overwhelming but that eased as I settled into the programme. I love that things are personalised, taking into account a client's health, mobility level and food preferences. That is so different to the weight loss programmes I've tried before. I have a personal Coach - Greg - who supports and encourages me every step of the way. The wider TSD ( The Sports Dietician) team share their knowledge and expertise and I am learning SO much! The holistic approach is powerful as it informs and instructs and tackles the mindset issues behind weight gain. I now understand the importance of the different food groups, why I need to exercise and strategies for altering my negative self talk. Knowing the 'why' has made a huge impact on my motivation and I am making progress and celebrating my 'wins' with pride. What has changed in such a short space of time? I have lost 10 kg and 43cms round my body; gone from an overflowing size 12 to a trim size 10. I even have two size 8 items in my wardrobe. Unheard of! I have changed from a night owl to a morning lark and love taking an early morning walk. The TV is virtually redundant as I am busy walking, doing my workouts at home or in the gym - and enjoying them which is a surprise, even when I don't want to go. I say 5 4 3 2 1 go and get out of the door. Listening to Alex's lives and joining in a Mastermind session about health, nutrition or mindset has helped to reshape my thinking. The ongoing support is second to none! I often comment on other people's wins on our community group chat. It's SO uplifting!Where would I be if I hadn't found TSD in March? Still a couch potato, frumpy, unhappy and looking at years ahead of the same and not being fit enough to enjoy doing things with my grandchildren. I've renewed my zest for life and am SO thankful to ALL the TSD team. They truly care. I'm loving the journey. If you are nervous I would say don't be! As Alex would say "The time is now" so 5 4 3 2 1 Do it. You won't regret it. Trust the process and find your inner self.

I have so much more energy Having joined Alex and TSD, I'm losing weight and inches and know that this is going to work for me. The advice, support, learnings and knowledge shared is incredible! This programme tackles everything from lack of movement and unhealthy eating to better sleep and a positive mindset. What resonated with me most is "if you don't make time for health, you'll have to make time for illness"!You won't regret making the decision to join! Just do it!Only good can come of it!!

I now practice what I preach and I couldn't be prouder !

Where to start ? I came to a place in my life where I could no longer stand the sight of myself in the mirror and I felt a fraud. A fraud because as a counsellor I would preach to my clients the importance of good gut health and sleep on their mental wellbeing, but I wasn't doing it myself, so at 4am one morning sat downstairs scrolling, a lovely man called Alex from the Sustainable Diet Programme popped up on my Facebook. When he spoke about the fad diets and the myths that we have all bought into I thought "this man really makes sense, he's not selling me a wild dream of a quick fix but pure common sense approach. Yes I was scared at first as there seemed so much information, and I came up with every excuse as to why I would fail, but I really wanted to change. So I grabbed the opportunity with both hands and it has been the most achieving thing I have ever done! I am fitter, healthier, driven, motivated , off all medication as no longer needed and 2 stone lighter in 6 months . I have learnt so much about nutrition and the benefits of strength training. I have also learnt valuable advice and open questions that I use in my counselling sessions such as " if you don't find time for your health, you will have to find time for your illness" and " I don't know how but if I did, what would I do first?" . The insight and support I have gained have been unmeasurable, what TSD offer you is a new life, a new you and somebody in the mirror you can be proud of ! Thank you, thank you !
