Happy customer here.I ordered online and the tyres were not available but they didnt let me down. Within a few hours I got a text offering me a free upgrade. They arrived on time and did a good job.

Silently replaced tyres with cheaper ones

I ordered some good tyres, but in 2 days I got a confirmation email where the tyres were different from what I ordered. No questions asked and no notification sent. I just happened to notice the difference because I read the bill. The amount was the same on the bill, and same Continental brand, however the tyres had way worse characteristics (original AAA, replaced with BBB) and more importantly the price of replacement tyres was even cheaper on the website (£148.99 vs £121.99). It means I would pay more but will get cheaper tyres. Nice. It took me an hour (59 minutes to be precise) of holding a line on their customer support line to cancel the order. Still waiting for the refund (8 days since).

Service not the same since Halfords takeover

Have used Tyre-shopper on many instances in the past however this time was a really poor experience.Was booked in at National Tyres - Egham and paid a premium for a Saturday afternoon fitting. I arrived 10 minutes early as per the instructions and it was confirmed that they had my order on the system. The Manager advised that they were quite busy but that they would get on with my car when the next slot became available. After 40 minutes of waiting, I was advised that my tyres hadn't been ordered / received at the branch and they were unable to change my tyres that day. A total waste of my Saturday afternoon with very little by way of apology. It seems that there are still some bugs to be ironed out since Halfords took over Tyre-shopper. I hope this gets resolved soon otherwise I won't be returning.

No tyre, no customer service

Ordered a tyre over Christmas for fitting a few days later and paid a "premium installation fee" for fitting on a Friday, had a call from Halfords on the morning it was meant to be fitted to say tyre hadn't arrived and wouldn't be there for 4 more days.I called the 0800 number to see what alternative options we had and request a refund of the extra premium fee and after being in a queue got a message saying "the mobile you have called is switched off". Then emailed them requesting they call me and now Sunday and still haven't been called or received any acknowledgement.The front page of their website in one part says "No matter the time, we always have somebody on hand to help you with any queries. Our dedicated UK-based call centre is open 24 hours a day, Monday to Saturday, throughout the entire year." in another part it says "Open 8am-6pm Mon-Fri & 8am-4:30pm Sat" but the reality is there clearly isn't any customer service (or tyre delivery) at all at the moment.

Usually good , but not this time!

I purchased two tyres to be fitted at one of their recommended fitting Centres in Tonbridge Kent. It happened to be Halfords fitting Centre, a review has been left about them too.To cut a long story short. Only one tyre was at the fitting Centre when I arrived and I ended up waisting a whole morning and having to deal with idiots who need to learn some customer service skills.Between Tyreshopper and Halfords a simple process was completely messed up.I’ve used Tyreshopper before and they have always been very good, but on this occasion someone messed up at my expense. I don’t know who it was as when I tried to contact Tyreshopper’s customer service I was held on the phone for 28 mins before hanging up. I then emailed them, and as I’m writing this still haven’t had a reply. So I then started a PayPal dispute as no one seemed to want to reply to any of my enquiries.Shame because they’ve always been good, but not on this occasion.

Still waiting!!

Booked 2 tyres to be fitted by their mobile fitter on the the Tyreshopper website only to be emailed the following day confirming a different fitting date 2 days later. Then the filter didn’t turn up on that day either. Still waiting for the rescheduled appointment! Never been let down in the manner before and I’ve used lots of different website and mobile fitting companies. Terrible service!

AVOID - switched tyres without telling me, still waiting for confirmation of refund

I ordered a pair of Goodyear All Season tyres. Everything seemed fine until I did a quick check of the tyres after fitting - and they were not the tyres I had ordered (and not All Season)! No-one told me, even the local Halfords who fitted the tyres were not aware a switch had been made. They agreed to take the tyres back, put my old tyres back on and promised a full refund. A waste of a couple of hours? No, I have still not had the refund two weeks later despite chasing them up daily - and now they say it may take another two weeks before they even make a decision to refund. The guys in the local Halfords who fitted the tyres have been helpful, but seemingly dependent on decisions by "regional management". Quite appalling service, and probably illegal.

Absolutely shocking service

Absolutely shocking service. Purchased 4 tyres from the Tyre-shopper.co.uk website and had them fitted at Halfords. Halfords damaged the wheel pressure sensor (TPMS) and had fitted the tyre and simply told me this when i arrived to pickup. They said it dropped off and then said they couldn't log the problem as their systems were down.Now i need to go to a local family run tyre fitting garage to get this fixed as Halfords cannot fix the sensor that they have broken.I called Tyre-shopper and they told me they cannot help as they only deal with mobile fitment. So they route the call to Halfords where i get cut off. Absolutely shambolic service and someone needs to either shut the tyre-shopper.co.uk site down or ensure it has a higher level of customer service.The only thing left for me to do is a chargeback on my Amex card as they are not able to support.

Poor service

Placed an order with Tyre Shopper for 2 tyres to be fitted at home, selected an evening appointment but was contacted a few days prior to fitting to rearrange to an afternoon appointment, fair enough. Fitter called before to let me know he was near, friendly and made a good first impression. Unfortunately it was down hill from here. When purchasing tyres and fitting, tyre shopper state that the cost includes balancing, replacement valves and disposal of old tyres, the fitter failed to replace the valves, then when the issue was raised told me they just don't look new from fitting...... not sure how that explains the break dust and general mud / dirt from driving. I was hoping these would be replaced, as I suspect one of the valves to be leaking. I have no problem with something being missed, it happens, own it and put it right! Or be like National Tyres and Tyre Shopper, making out the customer cant tell the difference. This wheel is still losing pressure, so will have to take to another garage to be rectified.The fitter also left with my locking wheel nut key, a bit inconvenient as I was left having to chase them up to recover it. I was really hoping that by selecting mobile fitting and with the fitter coming from a different branch of National Tyres than my local centre who I haven't had a great experience with previously the outcome would be more satisfying, but honestly I think I will just avoid Tyre Shopper, National Tyres or any company that is part of the Halford group in the future. While the prices are good, the service and hassle of using them leaves me thinking I should have gone elsewhere.

Appalling

Appalling. Can’t even get hold of anyone to complain/report the issue. Instead I get an automated email; saying this is no longer the right email. I used the email on the main website, under “how to contact us!”Arrived at one of the centres they use to have a tyre fitted. I was booked on for 08.30 Saturday morning. No one books that time slot who is time rich. They said arrive 10 minutes early. I did. No one arrived. 40 minutes later, still not open. Phoned the main line for the centre they use, no apology, no refund, no alternative solution. Just,”I’ll pass it my manager” who wasn’t there. The company is national with multiple branches and there wasn’t a single manager they could get hold of. Still haven’t had a call back. Still have a barely legal tyre that needs changing.
