Absolute waste of my time! Ordered Continental sport contact 7 tyres for my Audi as they seemed to be the only place showing them available. Great! On the day of fitment at my house I asked the fitter to check they were definitely sport contact 7 and not 6. Sure enough they were sport contact 6. After 40 mins of the fitter onto the office they then wanted me to pay an extra £168 for the wrong tyres. Had I not questioned it they would have been none the wiser. Told they can’t do them for the same price even as good will for their screw up. Well this is the first and last time I ever use them. I will go back to my trusted tyre fitter. Only reason I don’t use them was because they also didn’t have the tyre I wanted.
I Left a review regarding the terrible service I received from the mobile fitting service. Empty offers of apology with false offers of resolving problems. Clearly the responses from tyre shopper within public forums are purely superficial with no real concern for customer satisfaction or rectifying problems.Tyre Shopper needs to drastically improve in many areas, integrity being the top of that list
What an absolute joke. Having not received any confirmation of my order of two tyres and a wheel alignment at a cost of £441 I decided to call the helpline. I was told they had no record of my order so the lady booked the same order over the phone. Thought this was all now ok as my confirmation email arrived with another email from Halfords confirming the booking after the call. It was at the wrong store but decided to let it go as it was only a short distance away from the Pokesdown branch in Bournemouth. Later the same day I received a call from Halfords saying that they have no idea why they said they could do it as the tyres would take two to three days to arrive. So I’m now £441 out of pocket for a couple of days until the pending payment is sorted and can’t afford to change the tyres until I get the money back. Stuck with a vehicle with a puncture and probably a week until I can get it sorted. Called tyre shopper again and was told that they don’t offer slots with any company within 24hours. Funny that because as I informed the lady I managed to book it on their website and after that didn’t work another member of their team booked a slot in person for me. So the website isn’t accurate and their team obviously have no idea what they are doing. Thanks for causing me a massive amount of hassle for the next week. Useless. Note - Halfords said to use them direct or any tyre fitter direct as these sites are a pain. And they send out the generic no thoughts reply to everyone. Since yesterday they’ve now taken full payment from me even though I didn’t buy anything from them and nothing went ahead. Will no doubt have to wait even longer now to get my money back. Really poor show!
Zero Communication and no tyre!Having paid for and arranged a tyre to be fitted, and received the booking confirmation I arrive at the fitting station to be told the tyre hasn't been ordered. Apparently this happens quite regularly. I've been left with a car that is borderline unsafe to drive as it has a screw in the tyre in a non-repairable area. Having wasted an entire day it was too late at the appointment for them to get the tyre in today, so I now have to hire a car to get me through the next couple of days as I can't get fitting booked tomorrow.Had Tyre Shopper bothered to contact me this morning I could have ordered elsewhere. Even the fitting place could have ordered it for late pm delivery. Zero communication - appalling.
Ordered a tyre on Tuesday to be fitted following Thursday. After placing the order realized that my wife need the car all day Thursday so wanted to re-schedule the fitting to following Monday. There isn't a facility to do this on-line and so had to ring the their customer care number. As with most customer care lines these day I had to wait a long time before speaking to a person. Eventually, when I spoke to a person it took rather a long time to get the fitting to re-scheduled to 10am Monday. At the end of the conversion I double checked that the order wasn't being cancelled and only rescheduled and if I could have a conformation e-mail sent. I was told that there was no need for an e-mail and all was sorted. On Friday I got a message saying "..sorry to hear you have cancelled your booking...if we haven't already been in touch please re-book using link provided .. etc etc. I ignored this as I was told "it was all sorted"On Monday morning to avoid a 20 mile round trip I rang the fitting center to check if we were still ok to have the trye fitted. I was told "yes". I specifically asked if the tyre was there with them and was told that all the paperwork was with them so the tyre should also be with them. When I got to the fitting center I was told that they no longer had the tyre as it had been sent back! They said they had tried to ring me back but the phone went to the voicemail and chose not to leave a message. I have to now go back tomorrow (Tuesday) to hopefully have the tyre fitted (fingers crossed). Disappointing all around. Spent ages finding a mobile fitter to put tyres on my caravan, found tyre shopper who advertised mobile fitting and a good price so booked for a fitting. Received a message saying there was an issue with availability of the tyre size and to call. After nearly 15 minutes on hold I was told the fitter is unavailable in my area for the order. I suggested a different delivery day and was eventually told there was actually no fitter for my area! Eventually convinced the service assistant that I didn't want to arrange to bring it into a centre and needed a refund. Terrible service and falsely advertising mobile fitting services.
Order number: S8218348 Refund request ID 23782279 Halfords ref: !00D200CMz.!500Qx0DQsAF: I called the customer service number because I hadn't received a dispatch email and was due to take the car to the garage within 2 hours for my pre-booked fitting slot. They could not locate the order with their reference number or by the car registration number. The customer service agent put me on hold and called Halfords and assured me that Halfords would be in touch with the distribution depot and call me when the tyres arrived. I queried if the tyres could arrive in such a short space of time and was assured it was all in hand. I called Halfords when I got off the phone and they said that they had informed tyre shoppers agent that they had not received my booking for that day or any day that week and had no knowledge of the order. I called tyre shopper again and asked for a refund, again they could not locate the order but I was given a reference number for refund request and assured the money would be refunded that day and I would receive an email acknowledgement. I have neither received an email or the refund. I will now need to spend another hour on the phone chasing this up. From my experience I would avoid this company at all costs their customer service department is awful. Luckily I paid by PayPal so I can raise a dispute through them if they don't resolve this today. But I have no faith that the departments speak to one another and the customer service email address automated email response comes from Halfords and says its no longer manned. How a company not train customer service agents in escalation protocols when they cannot find orders is beyond me it's like going back 15 years to the start of online shopping but is not acceptable now.
UpdatesHalfords now own tyre-shopper.Went online to find tyres and notice the price match guarantee. Thought that’s great I’ll get the tyres at the best price. Turns out they were almost £150 more than blackcircles. Tyre shopper was more convenient for fitting so I emailed them about the price match. 48 hour later they said they don’t match black circles. I have copied their reply in the email below“We will not match against clearance, closing down sales or specialist retailers such as market stalls.”Now the tyres are the newly released Michelin PS5 so clearly no clearance tyres. Black circles certainly ain’t closing down. And lastly black circles are a multi million pound company so I wouldn’t class them as a market stall.The basics is that Halfords will not honour the price I found with black circles as they are misleading people into believing if they price match then they must be the cheapest anyway.Disgusting service and completely ignoring your own price promise policy. I will be raising my concerns to the financial ombudsman service and trading standards for blatantly lying on the terms and conditions.I’ve just clearly told you I haven’t placed an order as you didn’t offer a price match so how could I supply you with an order number??Complete waste of time. They claim the do a price promise guarantee but they will not honour it. Sent them an email showing black circles were almost £150 cheaper as there website states to do. No reply from email and when I’ve called customer service they are completely useless as they say you’ve just to wait for an email back. When I asked how long it takes they said can be up to 14 days. I need tyres now not in 14 days 🤦♂️
Called them to ask if they had the tyres in stock that I was about to purchase online and have them fitted at home. The website gave me a time and day that I was happy with but as Tyre shopper are Halfords I wanted to double check the tyres as I know Halfords and National Tyres did not have them. Customer service informed me that unfortunately they do not fit do mobile fitting in my area even though Halfords had fitted twice on my drive. Absolutely useless, so spent my £700 with ETyresIn reply to your reply, you obviously didn't read my review as it says I purchased from etyres so I have no order number. I didn't purchase from you because your guy on customer services says you don't fit in my area so he wouldn't answer my question, even though Halfords have been to my house and fitted tyres before and I told him that. he insisted that you don't fit in my area.Absolutely terrible service
