Review Time
This is the first time I have ever given a review.Today, I picked up my brand new Mercedes Benz B250 AMG Line Premium Plus! The handover was the best experience ever when collecting a new vehicle from a dealer. I have bought many vehicles from big named dealers and done business with many sales men, I can sincerely say there has been none like Sean (Mercedes Benz Birmingham Central). He is unique in his approach; you immediately trust him, the most sincere sales man I have done business with. He is customer oriented, well informed on the specifications of the vehicle and recommends what is suitable for you, the customer. With Sean it is not just about a sale; he keeps in touch updating you regularly about the manufacturing date, processes and delivery of the vehicle. From start to finish, it was a pleasure doing business with him. I will definitely purchase another vehicle from Sean, in the meantime I will recommend him to friends, family and work colleagues. Thank you Sean for helping me choose the perfect vehicle.
UPDATE: Refusing to reject the vehicle after giving clear evidence under the Consumer rights act 2015, STEER CLEAR GUYS! Had the car professionally inspected and there are major floors with the exterior and roof . Reported this well in the 30 day period but Mercedes Benz Finance and this dealer colluding together, absolutely disgusting. THEY HAVE CHOSEN THE WRONG CUSTOMER TO BULLY, i will not stop until my day in court, which i have an obscene amount of evidence for, they are hoping i will bow out but they are sadly mistaken. Very good at sales of (course they are) but after sales is horrific. Car turned up on delivery and there where a few scratches on it. Drive it away and issues with the hood (convertible) and battery malfunctions. Worst is after 4 months I still have not received a log book. Glenn (Mercedes Benz Croydon) Ignores emails and I still do not have a solution to any of the above. Still no log book as he mistakenly put down the wrong address even though he saw my drivers licence on the day of collection. I will be handing this car back to the dealer as I am sick of it.
Brought a E class premium package from brand new 70 plate ,within the first week I had issues with the centre console and the right exhaust rattling, it took 5 weeks to book the car in for investigation due to the covid siuation, been given a loan car which I had to pay for and gave me a B class as a loan car, utter disgrace, don't see why I have to pay for a loan car as the car was started giving problems within the first week of purchase and gave me a downgrade to what I pay for.
I don’t know who runs the show here, but, you need to get a new job. My A class went in for MOT and service during summer, (couldn’t wait inside, which is understandable due to pandemic and got a courtesy car), called me up to fail me on a bald tyre, but, after replacing said tyre, forgot to pump it up properly, wouldn’t valet the inside due to the pandemic, (although there are businesses all over town who are valeting away). Next mess up was when my air bag light illuminated whilst driving in September. I rang them up and they told me I shouldn’t drive it, but, call Mercedes breakdown instead. Called breakdown who tell me it is not their responsibility and to recontact Mercedes centre, called Mercedes centre again who told me they don’t recommend I drive it and that breakdown must collect it, call breakdown again who tell me it’s not their area and they also say they don’t understand why Mercedes keep referring customers to them for issues like this, then they recommend driving the car slow and safely to the Mercedes centre, although, Mercedes don’t recommend this, (ridiculous) so, I organise an appointment (£170) just to have it looked at and nothing off the cost of repair, which, ended up costing over £1k, with no courtesy car, access to sit in lounge and again no valet. (disgusting), the car is only 5 years old, the following week another light comes on, ring Mercedes, “oh will need to book it in again”, will cost another £170 to look at it, I wanted to keep the heap of crap for a year or two after the HP to save money then buy a CClass but I can assure you I will never even look at Mercedes again because like lots of companies with an excellent history they’ve gone cheap and sloppy.FYI I went to the local mechanic down my street who charged me £45 to look at it ( a fair drop from £170 ).
They will do anything to get you to buy a car but once you have, they just take take take! They will drain you of of every penny during services and so on.I once received a video saying my car and service was perfect. Then 30 mins later a guy tried to say 3 of my tires had failed. Knowing that I had this video I let him explain what was wrong and he was just chatting rubbish as if I wouldnt realise he was lying. Long story short, I told him I had received a video saying the wheels were fine. He immediately hung up. He was basically trying to falsely sell me tyres. When I have had issues with the car or with my finance agreements they do not respond and if they do it is just a bunch of clueless people who no nothing and just rely on a computer to tell them the answer.Never buy a Merc if you want any level of aftercare
Excellent customer service from Mercedes Shrewsbury. I had an intermittent problem with my car starting, which was causing me concern and to loose confidence in the car. From the first phone call to collecting my now fixed car I felt confident and reassured with the conversations I had with members of staff. They kept me informed throughout in a friendly and efficient way. Thank you for all your help in diagnosing the problem and fixing the car for me.
My Husband booked a test drive, he had to call them twice as they never bothered to return his call. When we arrived we were left waiting for 25 minutes, no apology and the explanation was the manager was in a meeting and had the key in his pocket. So they were clearly unprepared for our pre booked test drive. We actually like the car but wouldn’t buy one with poor and unprofessional service like that and I would certainly advise anyone I know the same
Took car in for major service at Waltham Cross. £480. Wrote on a piece of paper the problems i have identified myself and explicitly asked them to repair. Left car 8am. First customer through door. Got text at 11am technician started work. Txt at 4pm car ready for pickup. Came to collect and was told yes the parts i highlighted need to be changed. £360 for the 4hrs spent verifying repairs needed. I was told i need to book car in again and pay 4hrs again for the repair work. When i questioned why i wasnt called and why work was not completed advised that is how mercedes do it. So what was my problem that took 4hrs to confirm? Front brake pads to be changed. A wire under driver seat is cut and clip needs to change and front parking sensor faulty! I told them the problems and they charged me £360 just to confirm and want another £360 + parts to repair. Pathetic service. Had to call Lee, the manager from another branch to complain and he advised this was not correct practice. Though... i have no repairs for car. Once this is sorted i will never take car to mercedes again. Not worth the headache. Go anywhere people just not to main dealer!
