Poor is still being kind, despicable is more a suitable wording, be careful as mercedes do not guarantee their commercial vehicle in house after 3 years old. Thus means you will be pushed aside to a third party company who charges you for everything like a broken dashboard or charging for road side assistance even thou you have paid for it. The list goes on once you buy their vehicle after 3 years your on your own and it can be expensive.
Bought my vehicle in September 2020, nothing but problems, been back to the dealership on a number of occasions, starting 4 days after purchase and they refuse to fix the vehicle. At first they tell you they will sort it within the 14 day cooling off period but then change their story after the 14 days which leaves yourself as a consumer stuck with a faulty vehicle. I have a further issues and they are refusing to fix it despite the car being under warranty. Once they sell a car, they don’t care and don’t hold themselves accountable to the 1 year warranty they provided. They blame the customer for the faults despite it being a manufacturing issue and they wash their hands once the keys are passed over. Poor customer service, rude staff who put the phone down on you and absolute shambles of a company.
This relates to Mercedes at Cheshire OaksMade a telephone appointment for 2pm to view an A class. Kept waiting at the door in the rain for 5 minutes. Then allowed inside and asked to wait for the person with whom we had an appointment. In the 20 minutes we sat waiting it was instructive to see the large numbers of staff who had clearly nothing to do but try and look busy. We were ignored. Finally our contact arrived-no apology for being late-just swept by us saying "You wanted to look at an A class"-remotely opened an A class in the showroom and walked out! We were not sure this was the model we wished to look at.We had a look but did have some questions. When the salesman did reappear he was too busy to answer questions and would only email me a brochure.Background-I have driven Mercedes for the last 30 years-I have just sold my last C class and was in the market to replace it.In the face of such arrogance, rudeness and unhelpfullness I will never enterthis dealership again.
Avoid buying c300 from Mercedes. Cracked piston at 50K miles and the car is only 3 years old !!! Customer service in Coventry U.K. branch is disgraceful. Car is still under warranty and Mercedus will not cover the cost for the repair. I will be taken this matter further with mh solicitor
Really Terrible Service from Mercedes Dealer: Mercedes UK are the UK distributor for Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks and their dealer is Intercounty in Wellingborough: Copy of email to the depot manager follows: "I have already expressed my concern over what is happening to the above truck in an email last week but as yet, have not received a proper reply or even an update as to what is going on.Additionally, the key ordered for a 7.5T truck on Mon 4th January has still not arrived (20th Jan now), despite being told the delivery was likely 5 days / max 9 days. Not only that but no-one can tell me that the key has actually left the factory or any tracking info whatsoever. - It is simply incredible. The truck is stuck in the middle of nowhere with the windows getting smashed and generally wrecked, while I await the key. I simply cannot believe this is happening. I have two Fuso Tippers from a fleet of four off the road. No one at Intercounty on either issue has taken my concerns seriously and I am so fed up with the simple lack of professionalism and it would also seem at this time, technical competence, of Intercounty as well.."Would I ever buy one of these trucks again? - No I would not
Mercedes Southampton - Emission recall for software update.Good BOOKING PROCEDURE with friendly telephone manner.Upon CAR DROP-OFF - Impressed with COVID SAFETY PROCEDURE.I didn't expect an offer of a FREE CAR WASH/CLEAN or FREE HEALTH CHECK WITH VIDEO but gratefully accepted. Note made by the staff member.Phone call later that day for collection but was told that the BRAKE FLUID NEEDED CHANGING AND WOULD COST £201. I declined as I have used another service garage for many years.HAND-OVER- as drop-off but the car had NOT BEEN CLEANED as was in the same condition as drop-off.NO HEALTH CHECK VIDEO even though my email address was checked. My concern is that the car may not have been Covid sanitised for collection.I noticed forecourt sales cars with COVID SAFE STICKERS across doors. A good idea which should also be used for customer cars.My recommended service station advised me that the BRAKE FLUID CHANGE WOULD BE £60-70 and had been checked 3 months ago during service and did not need changing. Does this experience make me change my service garage?
Tried to deal with a sales advisor called Dan. I called three times over the space of a week and a half to try and get a video of a C Class I had seen online. I got brushed off every time I enquired about buying this car, told they would email me the video by the end of the day. Called again and a woman assured me I would have the video by the end of the day yet again. Next phone call they said they couldn’t get a video until Tuesday as the cars wheels were being repaired. I never heard from them again. Customer service is terrible I won’t be dealing with Mercedes Canterbury again. I feel that if I was buying the car on finance I would of been ‘allowed’ to have bought it.
At first you think its great but then you realise its Awful!!!I have been a Mercedes owner for 10 years (4 x E class cars all brand new personal leases), and like the times before I returned my personal lease car to swap for a new E-class. The sales part went swimmingly as ever which you'd expect as they want to get news cars out of the showroom however, when handing the old car back which was in excellent condition and only 15,000 over 3 years of use that's when the problems began. They pick every little tiny scratch or mark up, even on the wheels and you get a nice big bill to pay about a month later!!!! And yet if you check their website they're supposed to tell you this before you leave but they don't!Then if you challenge it with Mercedes directly they just get you running around in circles until you end up having to pay as they say you signed the appraisal documents!! It's a license to print money in my opinion and then they sell you old car for a nice tidy profit too!We attended the showroom during Covid-19 and as a result you couldn't hear what the sales person was saying as he was stuck behind a perspex screen 3 metres away and we all had masks on so you couldn't even attempt to lip read let alone hear anything with all of the background noise too.I won't be returning here or to any branch of Mercedes anytime soon, they are just interested in how much money they can squeeze out of you! The customer service at both Peterborough and Mercedes Head Offcie is terrible, I'd give zero stars if I could!!I'll be going to BMW or Audi from now on.
