Viagogo has the option to insert a travel address to receive tickets to your hotel when your are international and wish to watch an event in your visiting country. Their platform failed to accept my travel address into their database (this bug was confirmed by customer support) and I missed the event. Customer support did everything they could to not give me the refund, ignoring EU digital commercial regulations, ignoring GDPR for a long time, ignoring their own clauses and 'Viagogo Guarantee'. Eventually when threatening a legal route and reporting them to the EU consumer regulatory bodies, they confirmed they would give me a refund and gave me a timeline of "within 5 days before the event" as well as a confirmation email of the same. This never happened.I contacted support a second time who confirmed I would receive the refund 1 to 2 hours before the event, plus a confirmation email. This never happened.Upon third contact, they said I'd get my refund plus a confirmation email 72 hours after the event. This never happened.I contacted them a fourth time requesting their data protection officer so I could report them to the regulators. By law they need to provide this. They did everything they could to avoid giving me this, even after I sent them the links to the EU law. Eventually they gave me the email.Throughout all this, I emailed customer support (as opposed to the chat function) twice to inform them I was taking a legal route and reporting them to the regulators. They never responded. After opening a chargeback through my payment provider, I am finally receiving my refund 2 weeks later.Never use Viagogo. They ignore the law and will screw you financially.
THIS WAS THE MOST SHITTY EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!! Sinds may we are begging to get our money back from tickets we NEVER received. We are talking about 3000 euro. Untill today July 2025 we did not see tickets for Oasis And NO MONEY BACK AT ALL. This are thieves!!!! Never buy at VIAGOGO!!!!
I bought my tickets for a show on the 16th June. The show was on 12th July and in the app it mentioned that the tickets will be released on 12th July 6PM (show would start at 9PM). So even at 6PM nothing happened, no tickets and certainly no notification. I started to contact the customer service myself and at 7PM ended up with the message that I can only get a refund and the tickets aren't available. If it wasn't me contacting them, nothing would have happened! My husband took off from his work especially to see this show! I would say NEVER USE VIAGOGO! They charge you a great deal, but gives you zero customer service or even feel responsible at all!
I bought tickets for the north sea jazz festival in February 2025. The festival was in July 2025. On the first day of the festival I was informed that they could not honor our contract. I had traveled from California to rotterdam specifically to attend this event. This was totally unacceptable. They refunded my purchase price but that was not sufficient. In the end I bought a couple of tickets from ticketmaster. I would never use their service again.
Oh such a horrible experience. I really hope they will get banned ASAP from all countries.In December i bought tickets for Ricky Gervais’ show in AMS that was yesterday -in July and my tickets were delivered 1h after the event started.We arrived one hour before the event and were refused entrance because transfer was not made to the vendor. So 45 min before the event i started looking how i can get in contact with viagogo and check whats going on.App was down, website was barely working. Customer support was just repeating over and over same question, your orders id, email, name, order id, email, name…Luckily there was two available tickets at the venue so we got them for half a price comparing to what i paid to viagogo, enjoyed great show and on my way back home i asked in the app chat (thats suddenly was working now!) how to apply for the refund.Then through again horrible back and forth i learned that they cannot refund me because they delivered tickets and i didnt inform them before the event that my tickets are nowhere to be found, surprisingly they couldn’t find any logs that i DID contact them BEFORE the event.Anyway, only then i got to this site and saw that many people had it even worse so i cannot believe that they are obviously still allowed to do this.Hopefully in the future more people will see these comments before being robbed by this scam company.
I bought tickets for Imagine Dragons, and Viagogo assured me I'd receive them—even calling customer support who said it was "normal" to get them on the day. But just 90 minutes before the show, they called to say the seller never provided my tickets. They offered much worse seats (where I couldn’t even see the stage) at the same price. I refused and had to ask for a refund.Their practices are irresponsible and misleading. They hold your money, then offer garbage alternatives at the last minute. I missed the concert because of them. Never using Viagogo again.
They are cheaters, we had to call them a day before for the tickets and every hour until the concert started, we were so stressed our day was ruined, they told us the tickets were not given by the seller and instead gave us a choice of tickets swap only minutes before the concert started of shitty seats only when we actually paid for front standing tickets, we paid 420 for our tickets and they did this to us, only minutes before the concert started to pressure us and we had to accept it under pressure because it was that or nothing and we traveled far for Imagine Dragons concert on 9th July we didn’t wanted to miss it and I cried n cried helpless they rob us and we overpay for the tickets, this black market shouldn’t be allowed
This is a SCAM company! Don't buy tickets from them! I just got robbed 200 euros. They make tickets available that doesn't exist and dont make them available until hours before the concert so you don't have time to do anything. Then they say the ticket "doesn't exist" and send you an option to buy other ticket or more expensive and you pay the difference or less expensive and pocket the rest of the money instead of providing a refund. I dont even know how this business can exist, is screaming SCAM. I am sure countries must be involved to get money from this or doesn't make sense they can do this. My money is gone, but I will start process to sue them to get my money back.
