I booked business class MNL to AUH to LHR based on the experience I had on this trip to AMS in 2021. I must say the experience was terrible this time and does not justify the business class fare hike for the MNL- AUH-MNL legs of the journey.It's as if we in the Philippines are being treated differently to your customers in the Middle East and rest of Europe.Other than the staff on both legs whom i had no issue with, the standard was not business class and certainly not what is expected of Etihad.Seats - ridiculously cramped with no storage space. They were a throwback to the nineties. My wife sitting in the window seat could not get past my seat when it was laid flat without waking me up to place the seat upright.Amenity kit - an absolute joke. The size of the case cube belied the meagre contents inside.Entertainment - Etihad are running perilously close to breaching trade description regulations calling it Enertainment. It was more akin to that provided by budget airlines never mind the surcharge you pay in business class! There was only a movies section. With most of those made in the nineties. There was no TV, Games or Music that one expects for the fare paid.WIFI - There was none.Flight Map - There was none.Etihad need to realise that passengers who pay business class fares expect the business class services and ameneties marketed by Etihad. They should not be expected to accept substandard offerings such as that available on Wamos operated flights. The flight was 9hrs long for crying out loud not 90 minutes!Being retired, we fly 3 to 4 times a year to the Middle East and Europe from the Philippines and based on our experience this time we will not be using Etihad to do so in future.Etihad need to be a lot more transparent in what they are providing in business class because quite frankly it's not much better than economy.
It’s incredibly disappointing that Etihad chose to partner with Wamos Air. This was by far the worst flight experience we’ve ever had...subpar plane, terrible food, outdated and practically useless entertainment system, uncomfortable seats, poor service, and an unprofessional crew.Had we known that our flight wasn’t operated by Etihad itself, we absolutely would have reconsidered. We booked with Etihad expecting a trusted, quality airline, not an unfamiliar third-party carrier. The flight wasn’t even cheap, yet we ended up on a flight that's completely substandard.Very disheartening experience. This has seriously affected our trust in Etihad. Never again. Their crew is rude and racist. They forgot to serve my food but have no problems serving other passengers. Asking for assistance, they reply rudely as if you shouldnt ask them. When I followed up for my meal, They only gave me fruits when we were about to land. I paid for my seat in business class hoping service would be seamless but no, it was a complete disaster. My flight (EY 446) bound to Manila from Abu Dhabi.
I agree with all the other reviews. We booked business via Iberia only to be told it was changing to Wamos. On getting on the flight an Iberia rep was very apologetic about the change. Menus were Iberia but that’s where the similarities ended. Still had Virgin logos on the plane as an old virgin model. No WiFi, no in flight map and poor on board entertainment with limited films and tv many 20 years old.On the outgoing flight Madrid to Cuba left without drinks etc for five hours. Promise of a snack bar was non existent as well. Iberia have really let the side down using them yet still charged full price for the privilege. Be warned if your flight is changed to Wamos have a conversation with your original airline about compensation.
Paid for seats when we where about to board i was told due to the flight not being full my seats had been changed and now I am out right at the back of the plan 4th last Seat when I paid for a Seat at the front.Example the poor man was sitting in the middle there was 3 seats but 4 TV’s the man asked the lady what TV do I use and she said to him does it look like I am an engineer ?. Also the poor service on the plane and the seats are the worse to be on for a 6 hour flight I paid the flight with Etihad buy then was told I had to go with this poor airline of I knew i had to fly with wamos I wouldn’t of paid the extra money to use Etihad not happy with Wamos Airlines.
Etihad: Why Are You Partnering with Wamos Air?!We booked Etihad because we wanted a premium airline – but our flights from Abu Dhabi to Manila and back (EY446 & EY447) were operated by Wamos Air, and it was an absolute disaster!The biggest issue? Our in-flight entertainment system didn’t work on both 10+ hour flights. We asked for help four times – completely ignored! No fix, no apology, nothing.And the service? Terrible. The Wamos crew was rude, arrogant, and downright lazy. They stood around chatting (in Spanish – yes, I understand it!) instead of taking care of passengers. Our trash was never collected, so we had to sit with garbage for the entire flight.Etihad, why are you partnering with such a terrible airline? We paid for Etihad quality but got a budget airline experience instead. Anyone booking should be aware that they might end up flying with Wamos – and trust me, that’s far from premium!I expect proper compensation for this awful experience. Etihad, rethink who you work with!
Uncomfortable seat , needs upgrading. No charging port. No space at all in economy once your sitting that's. Rude Stewardess. Hand luggage being put in different cabin No help from the Stewarts they will send you to where there is space knowing how hard it is to go back considering the isle are so tight. Always talking in spanish between themselves.
I am European, 60+, and I have travelled the world by plane quite a lot.I have never experienced such a terrible seat i an airline. I think even the seat comfort in a 'Flixbus' or even 'Flixtrain' (German cheap bus/train chain) is better. I could stand this type of seat maybe for 2 hours, but not for 10 hrs. Seat very narrow, very close to the neighbour, constantly our arms touching each other, and I (175cm, 75gk) could not even stretch my legs. No window on this window seat in row 7k. The baggage compartment is smaller than I am used to in Economy.The flight in a A330-200 was operated on behalf of Etihad ('for Etihad') from Manila to Abu Dhabi. This flight takes 10+ hours. There are many Filipinos on that flight going to Abu Dhabi for work, not too many tourists going home to Europe. I get the feeling someone is thinking they (the working class) do not deserve better seats and will not complain. Are they treated in Arab countries like this? omg.How can anyone really get the idea, that this A330-200 with these uncomfortable seats, type and configuration, that Wamos Air chose, can be chosen on 10+ hour flight? After start of the early morning flight (5:30am) 1-2 hours later warm breakfast was offered with a bottle of water. I slept and never saw a bottle of water offered to me again. Some time before landing a couple was denied bottled water, only a glass of water ('no bottles any more'), the man insisted and one minute later the received 2 small bottles of water. Hmmm.And I think I saw the cabin crew asking for drinks only twice on that long flight! The organisation of the flight was good, flight calm and on time. I will never ever again book a flight when Wamos Air is involved,
Booked a flight to Rome with Etihad so my expectations were already incredibly low (I am a Gold member so they give me especially bad treatment for some reason). Surprise! They switched the flight to something called Wamos which is in another league of crappiness altogether. My outbound flight to Rome was a daytime flight so being scrunched into a tiny space was endurable. I am about to experience the return on a night flight which does not bode well. I got scammed by a taxi driver on the way to Fiumicino airport. At least he was a pleasant guy which is why he gets one more star than Etihad/Wamos.
