Review Time
Before starting the process, I contacted support through the chat for guidance. After making the payment and uploading the available documents, I was unable to complete the process.
I called customer service at least 10 times and spoke with different agents, but the response was always the same: there was a technical error and they could not access my account.
When I requested a refund, I was told that I needed to open a case through my user account. I did so, but I never received any response.
They just took the money, no communication al all
I requested for a transfer of my documents from my application from the US to my Canadian application. WES does not provide a service standard for resolving this simple process. Calling them also doesn’t help because their customer service reps drone on about no service standards and no timeline for resolving the request. This is untenable and completely unacceptable. The process of document evaluation are time sensitive, and the least WES can do is provide service standards for all their processes.
I am giving WES a star because they are evaluating the documents.
I also will warn anyone that is using WES to be forewarned that there is zero customer service provided. They have a webpage assistant, a "contact us" form and a phone number to call. Don't bother calling the phone number as they can't help at all and will only tell you to have give them some time. With the online contact us form you'll receive a generic "we're reviewing your documents" response and your questions will not be answered. You're best bet is to use the online assistant, and even then what the online assistant says is correct is different from what WES is asking for.
The other advice read everything that is required, than read it again, then have someone else read the instructions because the online instructions are vague and there is nobody at WES to help you.
We sent an official document from the "academic institution" only to be told 3 months into the review that they also want the transcript from the government not the high school. The webpage description of an official document is incorrect then.
We hope to have the WES final high school transcript completed before he graduates in June. Fingers crossed.
Worst experience at all. Only ph number is the source to talk with representative. I filled up contact us for 2 times but again the same thing asking by this people. My renewal time for wes documents is very close but no one from wes is helping me to get My user ID and password back. Worst of the Worst experience. Truly bad

However, I need to clearly express that this has become an unacceptable experience. I have been in this process for almost a year, and there has been no meaningful progress or clear accountability on the verification timeline. At this point, the level of delay reflects very poor service.
If WES is not able to complete the verification by actively contacting my former institution and providing clear follow-up updates, then I am requesting one of the following immediately:
A clear escalation with documented proof of follow-up attempts (dates, method of contact, and current status), and an estimated timeline to completion, or
A full refund of my payment, since the service has not been completed within a reasonable timeframe.
Also, your message states “there’s nothing I need to do,” but after nearly a year, I need confirmation of what actions WES is taking to resolve this, and how frequently follow-ups are being made.
Please escalate my case and provide a written update within the next 48 hours outlining the next steps. At some point I might end up posting it on social media since no one is ready to be accountable

Hi,
I want to bring to your notice an error in my date of birth on my updated WES report - I had requested for an upgrade (Adding My PhD to an initial evaluation done in 2020).
However, I received the new evaluation report today and noticed an error ( From you guys ) on the date of birth on my report - the old report bears the correct date of birth.
Can you please correct this and send an updated report as soon as possible?

RUN RUN RUN away from World Education Services (WES). This has been the worst evaluation service experience I’ve ever had.
This morning, I chatted with customer service and clearly requested to cancel my evaluation immediately. I even confirmed that I wanted to cancel right away. However, the agent kept saying that he saw my request and had forwarded it to the internal customer service team, and that I needed to wait for their response. He refused to help me cancel it on the spot.
The issue is that if you cancel within 24 hours, you receive a full refund. At that time, I didn’t realize this. I repeatedly asked if there was any way to receive a full refund, and he told me there was no way and that I would be charged a $56 processing fee.
Later in the afternoon, I chatted with another customer service representative. She told me that I could cancel the application myself by clicking the three dots on the website. I immediately did it but it was already 10 minutes past the 24-hour window. The website then showed that I would be charged because it was over 24 hours.
I feel completely deceived. The first agent told me there was no way to receive a full refund and refused to help me cancel at that moment. If I had been given the correct information, I would have canceled in time and received the full refund.
Another reason to think twice about using WES: if your school is unable to send transcripts directly to them, they will not proceed with the evaluation.
I am so upset and disappointed with my experience with WES today.
