Wishing I could give zero stars. Save your time and sanity and do not rent from here!! Not only did I have to wait over 40 min for the shuttle (while it was literally located 5 min away), but the shuttle driver refused to take me because my third party rental said “Ace Rental” when they had actually rebranded to York (he nor I was aware of this so the whole time I was looking for a shuttle with Ace on it that didn’t exist). Then when I finally do arrive they said they’d like to upgrade me due to the inconvenience, I had a Toyota booked which they didn’t even carry, they gave me a smaller car, did no walk around of the car and just gestured the general direction of it, when I got to it there was an orange cone in front of it that I had to move myself. Absolutely absurd!!! This started my trip off very poorly and I will never rent here again!!
Took 90 min and three calls to get a shuttle from DEN airport. They require insurance declaration pages and take video obsessively of every little paint chip. We had no pets in the car, just two of us and four suitcases, and when returned, they claimed pet hair was on the drivers and passengers floors. Total fabrication. They charged a $40 “cleaning fee” and were exceptionally rude. Lots of undisclosed charges. Avoid!!!! As a frequent business traveler, this was the worst rental experience ever.
We rented a car from York last summer. They incurredcharges for tolls we used and billed us. No issue paying this however it was sent to a credit collection company without trying to notify us first. Regardless, we paid the fee ($95).Recently, in error, my husband paid the credit recovery agency money that was meant for CRA ($2000). When he contacted them, they advised the money was already sent to York via chqs (chq#'s and dates were given). When we spoke with York, we received nothing but a runaround,them denying this had occurred. At the end of the email today, they advised they weren't helping and to go ahead and proceed with legal action. Keeping the money is theft. We require the money to be returned asap.
avoid at all cost the cheap price not worth it 2 shuttles to and from airport terminal customer service non existent , they require your actual insurance policy present or buy additional ins from them. borders on scam. cars are cheapest junk,over charge for sun pass. do not except 24hr return and no easy drop off
The wait time to rent a vehicle was poor.The car reserved was unavailable so I had to go with another vehicle. The vehicle was not clean.The Administration fees are extremely high and are in the fine print. Toll fees are 3 times higher than the toll with additional fees.Very poor customer service.The rental deposit was $735.00 charged to my credit card. Please be very careful because I won't rent from this company again. God Bless you.
Avoid! I Was ask to pay additional fees and my deposit was $1,000.00 with full coverage insurance. Not located at the airport. I will never use a bundle package from priceline or expedia again.My car had an overwhelming air fresh smell to later go away and smell like ass, freaking awful. Seats were dirty. Paid for small suv and got a small Nissan Sentara. I hated everything about this experience. It's a shame and disgraceful what this world had came too. Stressful, stressful, stressful!!!!
I'm from California, doing a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale Florida. Got my confirmation from Priceline for a three day rental, way back on 11/15/2023.After my cruise, I got picked up at the airport for my York car pickup.Total scammers, the old bate and switch routine!!When their van dropped me off at the facility, they had three other company signs displayed behind the counter, not only York. A counter manned by two people, in a very small space!!I was then told that I needed insurance. My credit card insurance and my own State Farm Insurance was not acceptable.They did not honor the booking made online, without their insurance. Now I'm stranded and screwed. At the counter, nothing but a credit card terminal, spitting out the deposit and payment charge receipts.Not until you get the car, that's when they give you your contract receipt. I took off for my journey.Bang!!You're dead, now you see what you didn't see on the little credit card terminal.To resolve the issues, I called them to dispute the charges, I got a recorded message, it has to be by email, and it would take a least 24 hour for a response.So they will not talk with you in person, no, that has to be done by email..!!I called Priceline to take care of the situation, they reassured me, saying not to take the car back, they would take care of the situation....not!!Lesson learned, deal only with the major car rental companies.Not a good experience with these guys at all!P.S. The cruise was great!!
