DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! These people are the worst. The place is trash and they are out to take all your money in ridiculous fees that you don't hear anything about until they charge you. They told me as I went to pick up the vehicle that to leave the state of Texas would be an extra fee of 350 dollars. I told them I wouldn't be paying that so I couldn't get the car. Now it's last minute and to get a car anywhere to get on the road on schedule would be a fortune. Then they told me since I booked through priceline that I had to contact them to get my refund for the original cost. Terrible. Do not go there!

Extremely Rude Staff & Terrible Customer Service at York Rental Car!I had the worst experience at York Rental Car, and I strongly warn others to stay away from this company. On March 3, 2025, I arrived to pick up my reserved rental, but the receptionist was incredibly rude and dismissive.When I handed over my ID, she suddenly changed her attitude and rudely told me that they don’t rent to Colorado residents. Instead of explaining politely, she spoke in a disrespectful and condescending tone, saying things like, “Who told you we rent to Colorado residents? We don’t. You should have known.”I repeatedly told her that nowhere during booking was this restriction mentioned, and my reservation clearly included my ID details, showing that I am from Colorado. Yet, she refused to listen and acted as if this was my fault.To make matters worse, the weather that day was freezing, with strong winds. After being rudely denied service, my wife and I had to wait outside in the cold for a ride back because we didn’t even feel comfortable asking if we could wait inside.York Rental Car owes me an apology for their employee’s unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. No customer should ever be treated this way. If this company cares at all about its reputation, they need to train their staff properly and learn how to treat customers with respect.

Pathetic

Pathetic, robbers!! My flight was somewhat delayed so, I reached a little after the scheduled pick up time. They didn't answer the collect call from Airport for 30 mins and when they did, they claimed the car is late to be picked up, and now they are not issuing me refund despite me not receiving any service from them. The receptionist didn't call me back after another 2 hours and claimed that now I have to pay extra for reopening the reservation.

I would give them negative stars if I could. Started out waiting outside in the cold for 50 minutes before getting picked up by the shuttle. On their website, they said the shuttle comes by at least every 20 minutes. When I called to check on the status, they told me they were understaffed and it would be there "soon." Fast forward, as I am getting out of the shuttle, the driver said to me "you're not going to tip me or say thank you?" How did he know what my plan was? Then it takes about 45 minutes to get the car which was a POS ... you get what you pay for. Coming back, I filled the tank, cleaned my stuff out and gave them the keys. The car was relocated to the back. After they already told me I was good to go, the very young and uninformed girl came to the window of the shuttle. I opened the door and she told me I needed to come back in to fill out an "incident report." I said why. I followed her in and she showed me a picture of a windshield with a small ding in it. It could have been any windshield. There was no proof that it was the car I used. I told her I wouldn't fill it out and she told me I had to. Her co-worker said I didn't have to and that they would just charge my card for $1000 and then reach out to my insurance. I did not authorize that as they didn't prove to me that the windshield chip was my fault or even on the car I rented. Every other rental car I have ever used has said any kind of ding or scratch under the size of a quarter doesn't need to be recorded. The "ding" was smaller than a pencil eraser. Their facility is ghetto and dirty. Even though it was a good deal, I will never use them again. Customer service and kindness goes a long way folks.

Worst car rental experience ever

Worst car rental experience ever. Don't ever go with them. They claim I did damage to the car that I did not damage, despite the pictures I submitted when I got it. And then the charge to my insurance company was bizarrely expensive. Four months later and I'm still dealing with them. Very bad customer service, too.

This car rental is a total scamming…

This car rental is a total scamming agency that charged me $60 a day for their car insurance,even though I had excellent car insurance with my Washington State Allstate insurance. Allstate covered me 300,000 liability per person. This agency asked for 500,000 liability per person. They wouldn’t allow me to up my Allstate coverage once I walked in their door.Their required insurance was more than double the rental price.They returned only $200 out of a $500 deposit .It doesn’t even deserve a one star rating.They are terrible!

Not even 1 star..

Not even 1 star... This company needs to be shut down.. IMMEDIATELY... I rented a car for a week to see the birth of my grand baby out in The Springs.. I go to pick up the car and the FRAUD IS REAL.... They want to see the proof of your FULL COVERAGE insurance. If not it a $40 extra charge on top of the $500 NON REFUNDED security deposit( some how i only received $222 back). I called my credit union and put a dispute on them and I will be call the airport and anybody else to let them know how it making the entire airport look.. Then after I'm on the phone with the guy and asking him about the charge.. bc my original week was 122. and some how the extra day was $287... So once I asked for corporate number he tells me .. We manage our own car lot... I saidddd yesssss I see.. A Fraudulent one.. then he hung up in my face... So now my credit union has put in a report about them.... I'm disgusted for even staying with them I should've followed the other 4 families back to the airport to another company... The black guy a the counter that bribe me to give him a good review for the FREE ($61 hidden charge) upgrade don't worry GOD DONT LIKE UGLY.... I was never giving nor email my contract.. but thank God I do online banking... there's so much I want to say but STAY AWAY FROM THEM....

Insurance SCAM

I was asked for declaration of insurance and then they said I needed additional coverage and proceeded to charge me 30 dollars daily for additional coverage. When I got to my hotel I called my insurance and adjuster coverage to meet the requirements that York rental needed. I called York to let them know I had the coverage and for the remaining rental days would like refund. They said No, that I signed a contact with them. I then asked for my policy and declaration for the insurance that I paid 30 additional dollars for, and they hung up on me. I called Priceline and explained all of this, they did not help and said I should of bought the insurance thru them.

Not Trustworthy At All!

I made a car rental reservation through Priceline for York Rentals in Orlando on October 31, 2024. In addition to the agreed-upon price, York charged me an extra $85 fee, even after I provided my personal auto insurance. They also added a $500 deposit (not just a hold), which still has not been refunded. Since my check-out on November 2, 2024, I have called, texted, and emailed daily, but there has been no response. I wouldn’t recommend York to my worst enemy. I now hope either Priceline or York Rentais are going to resolve this as urgently as possible.
